@Coco That's what I was thinking. Mine is like a 4a but very very thick and hard for me to work with alone. My hair doesn't lay. It looks like hers but with a more defined curl pattern.
First of all, love hair styling videos and seeing this hair texture being styled, whether straight or coily. But sidenote: I thought it was so unique hearing that music genre in the beginning.
I have 4c type hair, ive never learned how to maintain it. I would relax my hair and no exaggeration you would see the new hair growth within a week cause I sweat like no joke. I decided to cut it and I was amazed by how low my hair used to make me feel. It was incredibly freeing to be free of the stress. The only time I was so happy was right after leaving the salon. I wish I knew how to maintain my hair then I would at least have more of a choice, my default is as short as I can cut it. Your client has Beautiful hair before and after sitting in your chair

I'm not a professional stylist, but I understand why...The rollers are used to stretch and dry the hair without a lot of tension (like in blow dryring, brushing). After taking the rollers out, you can leave the curls in as a style, but remember she only sprayed water for the roller set. So those curls will not hold for long. Also, those curls are not well-defined. It's a cute look, but not everyone's preference. So using the curling iron gives more shine and defined curls that will last longer.

My hair is super fine and thin - quite the opposite of the hair you are working with. How often do you wash super thick curly hair? How long does the style last after you straighten it? How long does it take you to wash, dry, put into rollers, and then straighten the hair? Once the hair is straighten, does it feel smooth and soft to touch, or does it still have a strong texture? Is it soft to touch before it's straightened? Can you brush the hair while it's still curly, before you style it? ( I really have no idea!) What are the types of hair that you mention e.g. 4c, 4b etc? What would my super fine thin soft hair be rated? Thankyou again for these wonderful videos. I just love watching them! First let me start by saying thank you so much for your support. So I recommend to wash any type of hair every two weeks. The style last until washed unless she sweat it out. The time depends of how long the hair is and the thickness but typically it will take at least 45 minutes to an hour to dry the hair after I rollerset it. Are usually takes me 10/15 minutes to rollerset the hair, 10/15min to wash. About 20/30 min to style. After it’s done it’s smooth as a silk if it’s done right. Before it’s straightened it’s a lil strong. Yes you can still brush the hair while it’s curly but you have to make sure the hair is saturated with water and always start at the end and work your way up. I hope I answered all your questions. ❤️

I do it because my hair has more body than when I blowdry and then flat iron.

I don’t think the roller set would come out right if it air-dried, especially if your hair is thick like hers. Plus, it would take forever to dry.
