Chuck within the first 2 and a half minutes you explained what Ive wondered about for so many years. I had no idea how a sewing machine worked, and thats the entire reason I have put off messing with one. Now I am not saying I am at a point to where I can afford to spend a grand on one at this point but after your video I will be rethinking it rather than just dismissing the idea all together. superb video as always and you are a wealth of information my friend, would love to spend an afternoon just chatting about shop. I really sincerely enjoy your videos and your soul, you are one of a kind.

Chuck you make me want one so bad! Hand stitching is my longest and hardest part of leather crafting. Hours spent on even small pieces. But I'm still so new to the hobby that I'm afraid to spend that much on what looks like the perfect machine

Chuck your intro videos are great. I would like to see you put the 303 to the test. I seem to have found my niche making laptop cases. I would like to see you run the 303 sewing a bag together. The hard part is sewing the edges of a bag together when there is very little room to sew in. One side can be sewn from the inside. No problem. Sewing from the other side is the problem when you can’t turn the bag or case inside out. Let’s see the 303 in action. Compare the 303 to 205 in abilities! These machines are expensive and the crafters can’t buy them both. We need to see what these machine can and cannot do. Are you up to the challenge? Or maybe someone in plant that feels more at ease with these machines.

Hi Chuck: Love your videos. I have a Juki 1541, and would like to do more leather bags. Do you know of any bag patterns specifically for total sewing on my industrial? Or can any of your pattern offerings be sewen as an either/or (Machine/hand) stitch. Example, can we sew the bag with the snakeskin insert totally on an industrial?

    • @WeaverLeatherSupply

We are a distributor for the parts. We don’t know of any other people that would have parts. We know the manufacturer well and have some parts here from used machines that would be available. We haven’t had any issues as of yet with parts as far as replacing them and availability of them.

  • @MountainFisher

I wished I could afford a leather sewing machine just for putting a leather liner on crocodile belts. That is a lot of hand sewing and my local leather tack shop charges $30 to do one 5 minute job. Or doing a simple shopping bag, but at least they'll do the thinner leather at Joann's for a more reasonable price. Then again a simple saddle stitch cannot unravel without cutting every stitch, especially if I tie a knot with every stitch like I do on knife sheath belt loops.
