Stranded in the Dampier Archipelago | Millstream Chichester | Karratha

In this episode, we explore the beautiful Pilbara Region.
We spent two months parked up on a driveway in Dampier while Joel worked as a carpenter for a local building company. The Dampier region is beyond stunning, with its red earth contrasting against the deep blue ocean. We took advantage of our time there to explore the nearby Dampier Archipelago, consisting of 42 islands and islets, each with its own unique beauty and charm. The crystal-clear waters and diverse marine life made for unforgettable snorkelling and diving experiences.
Now, you have probably heard of Karijini National Park, but have you heard of Millstream Chichester National Park? Millstream Chichester National Park is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and is known for its stunning gorges, tranquil waterholes, and unique flora and fauna. It offers a quieter and more secluded experience compared to the popular Karijini National Park.
The drive into this National Park is simply breathtaking with its rolling hills and winding roads; it really is an oasis in the desert. Python Pool and Deep Reach Pool are stunning natural spring-fed pools surrounded by magical rock peaks.Located 12 km from Karratha and 197 km from Karijini, it's a must see spot to visit after exploring the wonders of Karijini! The park is perfect for hiking, swimming, and camping, offering a peaceful escape into nature.
