Old Eggman main here I entirely agree. For a while I respected the change, but now i can only see it as being unique for the sake of it. Shock made him into the reliable beast character who sonic HAD to respect. Now, if the exe so much as coughs on you: your entire empire goes down. They changed the greatest threat into the least credible one. It's a sas sight to see him go down like this. He's only chosen primarily for the funny aspect of "Engineer from TF2". Turrets are easily dispatched of, and his stun was a challenge to work around.
I mean, they could easily make the turrets good. Ex: instead of constant damage outpout, make It a Tesla charge thing that the more time its left alone, the more stun and knockback It does when It shoots, then put It on a coldown period. Just that would make It way better.
I don’t care what the people that defend Eggman’s rework says. Having to rely on multiple turrets that take a whole minute to set up isn’t as helpful as getting people out of grabs easily and stopping small boi’s spin dashing. Especially now that small exe’s spin dash now hits multiple times, it would’ve made Eggman’s shock all the more effective and meaningful.
I feel like a good way to re-balance would be to have it slow down the cooldowns of any ability that requires movement, so things like charge, block, spindash, grab, and attack will go down twice as slow when getting shot by the turrets. This, combined with the turrets still slowing Sonic down a bit, would make Eggman a really good character without going into overpowered territory. It would also fit his character, because Eggman is really annoying for Sonic.
I am so insanely glad they removed Evasion, it was annoying not only as EXE, but for being a survivor as well. Majority of Rouge Mains would just hide the whole game, making the time for surviving unnecessarily long. And as for EXE? Good GOD, the amount of times I've lost server wipes to a Rouge with like a dozen or so DT wasn't a lot but it was annoying every single time.
Istg I mained eggman in 1.1 continued to play him in 1.2 despite the nerfs but now they’ve butchered everything I loved about him and we probably won’t get shock back because according to the devs it’s “bad for the game”

Testers hated shock bc (stun wise) 3 secs was OP and 2 secs was too weak. Plus stun can technically be extended bc of the 3.5 sec linger as exes would commonly run away. (This is just what i've heard) I honestly prefer turrets and eggman having the role of being a disruptor, mostly bc I don't think his old kit was that great due to him not really having a role like the other main stunners. I'm not saying turrets are good, they definitely need buffs, but I think they are a good step in the right direction into making Eggman more unique

@@XDDiscoo I agree, I've played eggy quite a bit and relying on your team can be frustrating, especially when they can barely defend themselves, let alone myself. But I think a 3rd self-preservation ability could be done without being offensive like the shock, rather be an ability that can also fit his support/defensive role. Perhaps passively he can see where exe can climb and has shock traps that let him temporarily disable the ladders (if exe was on it then he would be pushed back). Not only would it pair really well with his jetpack (using jet to fly to a higher area and then trapping closest ladder so exe can't follow), And it would also pair well with characters that have knock-back based abilities like Blaze, Shadow, Metal and Amy

Metal Sonic nerf was needed and i almost love it. Push with no energy bar visible on screen equalling more skill to use is what we needed, yet not being able to jump to drop EXE off was a unnecessary removal... Still not the worst thing. BUT atleast, Grapple is a lot more accurate and faster, it can sub in drop exe off ledges or delay EXEs advances if used right. For example; The speed of grapple can be detrimental at first but isnt that much of a problem once you've gotten used to it. Self Destruct makes him so versatile, countering targetting in a way and can buy a ton of time if it's used correctly Which for example; Activate Self Destruct THEN push or EXE is just gonna impulse/teleport away.) If he kept his ability to jump while pushing, he could've definitely could've reached A+ but overall i agree with the current ranking! Maining him has been great so far. (Man though, Eggman could've been a S tier if he just received the turrets, kept his shock with a stun time of 2.5 and 4 seconds of duration and his previous reliable Jetpack Boost then the Jetpack we have now... Which isnt that bad but still. Im gonna miss maining him so much.😞)
I agree. Being able to jump while pushing Sonic meant you could straight up push him off a ledge without endangering yourself. The reason Metal had extra health is because he is supposed to put himself in danger.
In my opinion Shadow's rework is the worst considering his first ability is supposed to be strictly mobility, and if anything to replace the Tackle, why not give him a glock? Like legit, he had a gun in Sonic.exe Roleplay servers, so why not give him a glock in TD? Besides the Tackle was already good enough, we didn't need a change. Besides the Homing Attack works even worse now considering it's not even a stun anymore, it would just throw you off everytime. Overall, not a good character to pick.
After the buffs, shadow become more skill based character, can push more and gets pushed back more after landing homing attack to put more distance between him and exe. If you know how to use him right he is solid but if you have no idea what you are doing, you are going down in 20 or less seconds.

The reason metal can’t jump during push is that since metal sonic is more so of a self sacrifice character, the removal of jumping during push would force you to go down with the exe to stall more time for the team
shadow is literally the best staller in the entire game, his dash with his homing attack can travel ACROSS THE MAP in seconds. the homing attack got a MASSIVE buff, because he basically has 2 dashes if you use it correctly. this is of course, if exe goes for shadow that entire round.
Metal is technically meant to be a sacrifice character, since one of his abilitys push the exe and the grapple pulls the exe towards him, the self-destruct is for also that purpose since it kills metal however it has extreme knockback, but people can just choose to not use if they want to win, I mainly use it as a last resort when I know I am gonna die, it can waste some of the exe's time because of the knockback and stun.

Shadow's homing attack is still really solid removing the target made him even better and it can be used mid air its really good for mobility and it can still save teammates the only problem about homing attack is that it cant be aimed up or down
(Long rant. Don't read if you don't have the time.) Maybe its just me, but does anyone else think Eggman's rework just doesn't work in the game? Not only is he kinda bad, but when you compare it to the other characters, it just doesn't make any sense why shock was taken from him. I would agree with Out's decision to revove it, if it wasn't for the fact that he contradicts himself with some of the characters. For example, lets take a look at the support characters of this game. Every support character can combo with their abilities, except Eggman. Support characters shouldn't be able to combo with their abilities in the first place, but all of them besides he can. It's also kinda weird how people say he deserved to lose shock because he is a support character, and support characters should not have weak stuns, or any stuns at all, but nobody says anything about orb. Orb is a weak, spammy stun that Silver has, and he is meant to be support. In fact, every support character has some form of self defense besides Cream and Eggman, but it makes sense for Cream because she gets a tiny hit box and is the designated healer of the team. Eggman has a large hit box and a playstyle so passive to the point it encourages targeting. If you're not close enough to the fight, you're useless, but if you get to close, you're kinda screwed, because he has no instant mobility like he did before. Unlike Cream however, you have to constantly stay in the fact to place new turrets and restock the old ones, whichs means that you are putting yourself in waaay more danger than the only other character with no self defense. Not only that, but the other characters outclass him with their abilities. Rouge can make it so that Sonic is visible at all times without worrying about her sensors being destroyed. She can also make him temporarily blind and also has access to a stun. She is supposed to be a recon character, but at this pont she sort of feels like a debuff character, since all of her tools can be used to inconvenience Sonic in a way that can help her teammates. Eggman's whole thing is being a debuff character, yet the character that has a different purpose outclasses him. Plus, the effect his ability gives isn't even original. Sally can also slow down Sonic with emp. The whole point of a support character is that they have to be as original and unique as possible, because unlike a stunner, it just feels like you're playing a worse character with a different coat of paint. Unlike a stunner, there is no way to truly get good at Eggman because he has a simple, passive, playstyle. There is also the fact that he has no way to help himself if he gets targeted, but every other support character does. #Justiceforeggman. I really enjoyed this tier-list. Keep up the good work.
Eggman, Tails and Cream in my opinion are the only bad characters in the game right now, for that exact reason. I'm under the opinion that Tails is the worst character in the game, but Eggman is VERY bad as well, which sucks because I like the idea of a map control character like this but it just isn't performed super well. The one thing saving him from being bottom 1 for me is the different angles jetpack provides for its reasonably short cooldown, something Tails can only dream of with how ridiculously long it takes to get glide back. 100% agree, this updated really messed up Eggman.

I just think overall even if their functions on the team are in general better than Eggman's, at least Eggman's support is unique while the other two are more outclassed. Sally is just strictly better than Cream, and Tails is basically unneeded when you have better stallers like Knuckles and especially Metal Sonic. Plus with survivability, Eggman's Jetpack is in general a shorter cooldown and has a lot more variety in how you use it so long as you have the time to charge it, while Cream and Tails are stuck with much longer cooldowns with much worse mobility in general (Glide is super slow and barely gives you any distance especially for a 30 second cooldown, and Speed Boost is super easy to counter with spindash and charge). I still believe Eggman is a pretty bad character and really needs buffs to be viable, but I think Tails and Cream are just a little worse from a gameplay perspective.
Top 3 (IMO): Sally - Super good if you can time EMP properly. Only real downsides is getting targeted due to shield share, and is kinda weaker against Kolossos Knuckles - Defacto stunner, not much to say. Silver - I think he's a great all-rounder character, like his orb is a great close-mid range stun if you got good predicts, speed radius is super helpful (especially if you got a team all grouped together), and his barrier when placed properly gives easy jukes. Bottom 3: Shadow - Not bad, but I think he's mediocre. His homing attack is just eh, sometimes its good, sometimes it ain't. Imo is tackle was far better. Boost is still very good if you know good routes for it. Tails - Never really liked his playstyle, but the delay makes him far worse. He's now best played when you're far back, occasionally taking shots at the Exe. Has awful solo potential. His glide is really mediocre and only handy when going for revives. Eggman - Never touched Eggman but damn did the dev butcher him. Legit my only guess as to why his shock was changed is because Sally's EMP was sorta similar. The turrets not stacking when both exes can very easily avoid or ignore them is bad.
honestly,if they give a way to eggman to defend himself (other than turrets) like bringing back the old shock (not the nerfed one) then he wouldve be fine. If turrets are staying,then they need to buff them,minions completely destroy them,if outlaik give them HP then it would be better Each time i play as eggman,i place my turrets,if an EXE comes,i use my jet and leave,because some exe focus more on destroying turrets than eggman,but guess what?Exe can remember eggman exists and chase the poor now defenseless guy. the worst part,despite being "Support", he cant revive teamates now and is forced to stay near turrets because theres no way he can get away instantly or stun exe As an matter of fact,he mostly cant help his own teamates,because minions,spindash or charge (if eggman does not know how to place turrets) completely destroys the turrets [edited] Eggman went from B+ ( due to unnecesary shock nerf) to C for me.
You don't have to wait jetpack...you can press in all parts of the bar...but if have no bar...He will fly up...if the bar is completed,eggman will dash
Blaze is a solid S tier wdym. Shes really good as a solo survivor and can save teammates easily if she's remotely close. If you stun with Fire Tornado you can pop a Heatwave and either use it to run then attack back if EXE goes after you, or jump the EXE if he goes after somebody else. Not to mention being able to do insane jumps with Fire Tornado on some maps with the springs, or just using Fire Tornado on springs for a mix-up, since it moves so fast and can buy you like 8 seconds if the EXE didn't see your mix-up. Heatwave giving you speed for about 7 seconds or so is amazing, since it prolongs chase, and even the attack itself isn't bad, just dont use it inside the EXE, it wont work.
something to note about Eggman’s jetpack It’s not delayed at all, the bar just determines which velocity, plus ive seen eggman players jump and use it like jetpack used to have. make what you will with this info
Imo tails is second worse since predicting an exe is almost impossible if they dont move predictably and you need good aim just for the 2.5 second stun. ( the balancing in this upd is dogwater
2:50 actually jetpack got a change If you press space and it's filled under halfway, eggman will boost upwards like 1.0 jetpack. If it's over halfway it's a boost FORWARDS 5:25 Homing attack is now MOUSE AIMED, and no longer auto aimed. Means you can use it as a mobility by aiming up to get up to a higher place. It also can be used mid air now!!!
I like the shadow changes. Boost in air is great but the honing attack changes give you a lot more freedom when using it. You can hit sonic from further away as the green circle gave you less range. If sonic just runs away from you when you use it you can homing attack the other way and gain some distance. It all around just gives you more freedom when using it
On pc, silvers orb becomes the best projectile in the game, sure it has less stun than Amy’s hammer or Tail’s arm cannon, but it’s easier to hit than thr either of them, and it comes out INSTANTLY, you can fire it the frame it comes out, and for us pc players, that means you can stun the exe instantly, wi this it’s possible to: Cancel spin dash and charge Hit exe when he uses the spring to force him off Instantly save your teammates from grab from anywhere And that’s also not mentioning barrier, which if you do use it right (quite hard to get it right) can block off a spring entirely. I can see silver becoming an S tier character once people get his moves down right
Eggman's jetpack is fine, even better since it has dual use, but the turrets are too meh, they are only useful when there are three and Silver activates his boost ability.
Honestly eggman would be good if his jetpack charged by holding down the jetpack ability button, allowing for instant upward mobility when needed but also letting you charge up for insane vertical mobility that can get you across wide AF vertical gaps (with the downside of the jetpack only having the vertical aspect when charged, as it doesn’t go up or down when used fully charged.), then giving him his stun back while keeping the turrets, Amy, rouge, and silver get three abilities, why shouldn’t eggman have three?
I believe metal lost his ability to jump and push because he was really overpowered by being able to launch exe off ledges with 2 moves that have relatively short cooldowns in td standards I miss it but it was annoying as hell on maps like YCR or has2
I feel like people hating on eggmans rework. I understand him not being able to rescue people with shock to revive or end chases is a sad thing to lose but his turrents can help so much when you place them right. The jetpack feels better because its faster than shadows dash and Kolossus dash as well. When you use it early, it launches you upward higer than before so he can still rescue in terms of revivals.
Shadow is literally one of the best characters Boost is a better offense than tackle and his mobility combo is too op Also the Push and Grapple combo can launch monsters of the map, go to the direction of the place you want him to fall, then move to him to make him fall without you falling
I am a Eggman fan, I main him, I still do, but when I’m targeted, there’s nothing I can do. The jetpack doesn’t help me cause it doesn’t go high enough, it may be my lag but geez. And once I place my turret, exe destroys it and laughs afterwards. He’s basically a rouge now like you said, he’s good when there’s a full server. But alone or targeted, I fear he may be cooked. I want shock so bad, I don’t care if they even nerf the shock, I just want it back. Atleast he has something to defend himself with, it’s how I do solos as Eggman with 100 danger time. Eggman was kinda the reason I played disaster a lot. I won’t be playing the disaster as much anymore, but for now If I want to stun, I’ll play as Blaze.
i dont see anyone legit playing Doctor Robotnik now, im sure people only pick him for the comedy (it is so fun to make a turret nest shaped like in bowling then make Sonic.EXE spindash over it)
Silver became the best character in this game because he's a hybrid of tails with knuckles' hitbox plus cream's speed with sally's shield, he's very versatile because he's good in any situation. By versatility I mean that he's good for: close stun/far stun, he gives buffs to allies and himself, he can use his barrier on springs or in places where sonic climbs so that he can't climb.
In 1.0:eggman is a low mobility character In 1.1:eggman as kinda upgrde but still a low mobility character In 1.2:EGGMAN AS BECOME EVEN MORE USELESS!!!!!
All TD characters ranked in 10 seconds! Tails, knuckles, eggman, amy, cream, sally, shadow, rouge, metal sonic, silver, and blaze are F tier because they don't do damage Sonic.exe is S tier!11!!1!
So, they made 2 characters over powered (Silver and Blaze) and basically made the Heavy (Eggman) and the Medic (Cream) Basically like they were in Alpha 0.4 (pre 1.0) just a big and small Hitbox respectively.
most character i feel bad for is EGGMAN. his shock got removed sadly and i though outlaik would make his shock short stun but can stun multiple exes! besides shock is literally with sally now her EMP ability can slow down multiple exes and can have a speed boost when successfully landed on exe or a minion. so EMP is literally eggman's shock but way better.
Eggman is sooo bad... but for the jetpack, the longer it charges the further u go but not very high, the less charge, the higher you get pushed but won't go far, kinda of a buff....but he's still nerfed to the ground tho.
You don't need to wait for a jetpack to fully charge for it to work, the charge just plays more into the mobility part, making it more like SOH jetpack
I’ve been playing blaze a lot more and I think she’s a little underrated. Heatwave is good to save teammates since it’s a lunge and it has that speed boost. And the best part about it is that heatwave bypasses block!! Both abilities work really well together if you position yourself correctly, it just takes a bit of practice :3
Mhm. I have to agree with you, I've been playing Blaze for a while, and I've gotten used to playing as her, I now know how to use her properly and carefully. Also, I recently soloed as her against 3 exes when everyone else left. I was on 10 hp plus revived at the time. IT WAS FUCKING SCARY AS HELL!!!!!
I agree with egg, even if I like him more that v0.75. I think the turrets should knock exe back, not stun him but push him back and it should take like 5 secs to destroy a turret so it wastes exe’s time and the jetpack should have 2 variations. Speed burst and launch. Launch sends you up like 1.1 and speed burst send you far but not high. That’s my fix for eggman. Overall I do miss when egg was good in 0.8-1.2 alpha but now he’s mid as hell. I think metal is overrated as solo survival wise he kinda sucks but that’s just my thoughts. Good video
I think why jumping for metal sonic was removed when using push on exe was because so many metal sonic players would do that thing where you jump off a edge and exe will fall off
Imo for the egg (YAP SESSION) you need to use only one turret just to slow him down it also has a huge amount of detection range so you can just put them in far places. you can try to hide them because anything that doesn't have collision the turret can shoot through. the jetpack is actually pretty op for certain spots that doesn't have any ladders, you can also activate it mid air which i completely forgot about and if you need to give yourself a speed boost use it in mid air so it charges while falling. For solos he is straight booty but team wise he is the best. To sum it up just place the turrets in good spots recharge them when exe isn't there, hide from the exe the entire round and you're good.
eggman is 1000x in this update for me, a lot of utility, the slowdown is super useful for juking or just buying time, the jetpack is also nice, A tier for me

I’m gonna be 100% frank here. I like eggman’s rework, BUT, they do need to buff the turrets. If they would give them like actual health. They could be two shot for Klososs and three for small exe since he’s already the fastest character in the game with no abilities. And the Jetpack rework is fine, it’s just it ain’t really usefull in chase bc you’re most likely gonna hit trying to change it. And giving the turrets a decreased cooldown would also help. Either what I just said or bring shock back as a third ability (the 0.75 alpha one) so he has SOME form of self defense. Right now he’s so HEAVILY reliant on his teammates 24/7. And as of rn the turrets can’t really do much bc they’re one shot by a SPINDASH! Ik this game is a team game but with how stupid public lobbies are and how selfish players can be eggman is honestly just the unhealthiest thing rn. I miss egg Boi from 1.1. Ohhh the days of jumping off a shocking an exe out of the blue are already coming back. ;(

egg man is good because you can space the turrets out so the exe can waste time hitting the turrets. And its good for wasting time because they slow down the exe. That's just my opinion though.
4:40 Actually Sally can now heal other players, how you say? So. When other players has 15 hp Sally gives 15 shield hp to them. So.. 15+15= to 30 right? Instead.. Sally gives them 35 health. the 5 in the health is a bonus. Hope this helped.
As a metal main the short explanation for the removal of jumping while using push is because it encouraged him to stay high up and just throw exe off ledges which not only stalled him decently well but had zero downsides for metal. push is intended to force exe to chase him which makes it risky to use, so throwing him off a ledge kinda got rid of the whole point of it.

Turrets are still staying, as a third ability now tho (it would have been better off as a 3rd ability) Turrrets CD decreased: 10 > 2.5 Repairing Turrets is 50% faster Jetpack's minimal charge now gives almost the same distance the old Jetpack used to give Jetpack charges up 2X as fast You gotta hold E instead of pressing E then Jump Button to release it Jetpack is used automatically upon max charge
I also like using barrier as a tool almost for juking. If I go to the other side of the barrier then sonic will go to that side too and try and hit me. So what I do is go to the other side instead to confuse him
For the Eggman part of this video by a long-time Eggman player You dont need multiple turrets to do something if you mean stacking the effect, the slowdown is VERY noticeable if you are EXE or juking him as a survivor + stacking wont work so space your turrets apart I mean I wouldnt disagree with the minion part since back then they just kinda fucked Eggman but now it takes them way more time to destroy a turret (if you repair them consistently) Turrets are more useful than you think, trust me they make a MAJOR difference in juking if you place them right. Plus play as EXE with a good Eggman player and you will want him dead. Turrets take strategy to place, so dont stack them, dont put them in dumb places and generally try to hide them when possible. They can cover a lot of ground if placed well and not too close that two of them are shooting at him at once but not too far so all ground in whatever area your team is camping in is being protected by a turret. Plus the turrets last way longer than EMP and are less risky. He's a support, of course he will be weaker than the others, but his jetpack can be annoying to go against if he uses it right. Also for anyone that thinks Jetpack is worse you can get a lot more versatile use out of it, plus the double jump you can do with it sends you much farther up than you could before, you do not need to charge it fully. Just use it right. Eggman is very good for your team and decent by himself, he just takes a lot more strategy and skill now to play as efficiently. He's better than before and more fun too. Albeit a shit Eggman player is more of a burden so I can see why people would hate on him if all they got were bad players.

Eggman sucks now yeah but if you're team works with his turrets which slow down exe so much that hes slower then survivors you can def win rounds with a good Eggman the only problem is one you need ur team to work together and two eggman's turrets take so long to build

the only thing i really disagree with is not putting silver in at least s tier because he is pretty good at everything if you know how to use him. the barrier is easy to avoid but you can get around that by placing it while the exe is about to hit you and the barrier can stop charges, the energy ball is pretty much just a stronger version of tail's gun, and the speed aura has a pretty high range.
Of course Outlaik do the worst choise to delete chock now its only 0.1% Chance to you survive with him only of your a teamers or you are in a Friendly exe round

I don’t know how to explain it very well, but here’s some. Getting better with Amy in general. __________________________________ As Amy, you are a frontline type character. You are mainly meant to fight EXE. You can switch to a Backliner due to Hammer throw incase of emergency’s. But she’s mainly a frontliner. When you use hammer attack, the EXE will sometimes try to bait you into using hammer attack. When EXES are near you and done lunging, then is your time to strike. As they are slowed. With hammer throw, The farther you are the higher you aim. Pretty simple. (I have an Amy guide that gives more tips on hammer throw aswell.) And with hammer spin, it should only be used while in chase or trying to push EXES off the edge of a cliff. Because if you try to save someone with it, it makes you very vulnerable if you don’t have hammer attack or hammer throw. Here’s some general tips aswell. 1. If EXE is camping your hammer it would be best to not go for it. That way EXE will waste time. Unless a teammate is helping you get it back, then you should get it. 2. Try to swap between frontliner and backliner. Amy is one of the most targeted characters in the game. So it’s best to swap between frontliner with Hammer attack and Hammer spin, and backliner with hammer throw. I hope this helped you! If not, I also mentioned I have an Amy guide to go more into depth.
I can respect the editing you did its all very good, but for me i think most of the points about tails and eggman in this video are wrong For tails hes like a d class for me and i hate the devs for butchering him cause i used to like playing him. His glide ability is meant to be a shortcut type ability (ie to get to certain places or to just get to your team faster) and not just a time waster ability. But whatever i can overlook that what REALLY grinds my bones is the delay. My god The delay. Made tails do f✓(k all because its near impossible to hit anyone. He was already hard enough to play and now they just neutered him. For eggman, he is *of course* a support character. Now i can see why you think his redesign is bad but thats simply because you haven't explored how to play him enough, what i do with him is place turrets around one big spot where the exe can't get them all easily (for example in the dark map where the bridge is, you put one on the bridge and another across on the cave) this way your slowdown lasts longer and is more of a nuisance to the exe, as a good support should be. Most of your other points were pretty valid aswell so good video, keep up the work
The problem is the change wasn't needed and drove away more people than brought in, not to mention it's a chore to fight against and tedious to play as to most. He *can* be effective, but most competent EXEs shut you down before you become a problem. You put in all this work and play around all these problems when you could've just stunned him and gotten it over with

I'm gonna say shadow is definitely one of the BEST mobility characters because it's not just boost the can be used in midair homing attack can also be usedmidair put those together? Get ~halfway across the map yes both abilities gone but it also provides upwards mobility too
Also, some of the “stuns” you listed as stuns are not stuns (if exe’s block does nothing against it’s effects, it’s almost guaranteed to not be a stun, also if the exe doesn’t “hiss” when hit by it, it’s not a stun.), instead they are what I call “pushes” since the exe is pushed back and only loses control for the duration that he slides along the ground for.
i diyched rouge for a,y and tails, but since shes a better support i might go back to her, although i play sally alot more (ppl kept being rude to me as rouge whenever i hid so i stopper playing her, and i can see why they git mad tbh, bc it just added more time for them)
honestly? i don't have any problems with tails, especially up close, call it me being mobile, or just the chosen one, but i can actually play better at both ranged and up close, probably just me tho

I entirely agree. For a while I respected the change, but now i can only see it as being unique for the sake of it. Shock made him into the reliable beast character who sonic HAD to respect.
Now, if the exe so much as coughs on you: your entire empire goes down. They changed the greatest threat into the least credible one. It's a sas sight to see him go down like this. He's only chosen primarily for the funny aspect of "Engineer from TF2". Turrets are easily dispatched of, and his stun was a challenge to work around.

I mean, they could easily make the turrets good. Ex: instead of constant damage outpout, make It a Tesla charge thing that the more time its left alone, the more stun and knockback It does when It shoots, then put It on a coldown period. Just that would make It way better.
I don’t care what the people that defend Eggman’s rework says. Having to rely on multiple turrets that take a whole minute to set up isn’t as helpful as getting people out of grabs easily and stopping small boi’s spin dashing. Especially now that small exe’s spin dash now hits multiple times, it would’ve made Eggman’s shock all the more effective and meaningful.
How make turrets good: Make them have 0.5 stun but have a 5 second attack rate

I feel like a good way to re-balance would be to have it slow down the cooldowns of any ability that requires movement, so things like charge, block, spindash, grab, and attack will go down twice as slow when getting shot by the turrets. This, combined with the turrets still slowing Sonic down a bit, would make Eggman a really good character without going into overpowered territory.
It would also fit his character, because Eggman is really annoying for Sonic.

I am so insanely glad they removed Evasion, it was annoying not only as EXE, but for being a survivor as well. Majority of Rouge Mains would just hide the whole game, making the time for surviving unnecessarily long. And as for EXE? Good GOD, the amount of times I've lost server wipes to a Rouge with like a dozen or so DT wasn't a lot but it was annoying every single time.

Istg I mained eggman in 1.1 continued to play him in 1.2 despite the nerfs but now they’ve butchered everything I loved about him and we probably won’t get shock back because according to the devs it’s “bad for the game”

Testers hated shock bc (stun wise) 3 secs was OP and 2 secs was too weak. Plus stun can technically be extended bc of the 3.5 sec linger as exes would commonly run away. (This is just what i've heard)
I honestly prefer turrets and eggman having the role of being a disruptor, mostly bc I don't think his old kit was that great due to him not really having a role like the other main stunners.
I'm not saying turrets are good, they definitely need buffs, but I think they are a good step in the right direction into making Eggman more unique

But I think a 3rd self-preservation ability could be done without being offensive like the shock, rather be an ability that can also fit his support/defensive role.
Perhaps passively he can see where exe can climb and has shock traps that let him temporarily disable the ladders (if exe was on it then he would be pushed back).
Not only would it pair really well with his jetpack (using jet to fly to a higher area and then trapping closest ladder so exe can't follow), And it would also pair well with characters that have knock-back based abilities like Blaze, Shadow, Metal and Amy

Push with no energy bar visible on screen equalling more skill to use is what we needed,
yet not being able to jump to drop EXE off was a unnecessary removal... Still not the worst thing.
BUT atleast,
Grapple is a lot more accurate and faster,
it can sub in drop exe off ledges or delay EXEs advances if used right.
For example;
The speed of grapple can be detrimental at first but isnt that much of a problem once you've gotten used to it.
Self Destruct makes him so versatile, countering targetting in a way and can buy a ton of time if it's used correctly
Which for example;
Activate Self Destruct THEN push or EXE is just gonna impulse/teleport away.)
If he kept his ability to jump while pushing, he could've definitely could've reached A+ but overall i agree with the current ranking! Maining him has been great so far.

I agree. Being able to jump while pushing Sonic meant you could straight up push him off a ledge without endangering yourself. The reason Metal had extra health is because he is supposed to put himself in danger.
In my opinion Shadow's rework is the worst considering his first ability is supposed to be strictly mobility, and if anything to replace the Tackle, why not give him a glock? Like legit, he had a gun in Sonic.exe Roleplay servers, so why not give him a glock in TD? Besides the Tackle was already good enough, we didn't need a change. Besides the Homing Attack works even worse now considering it's not even a stun anymore, it would just throw you off everytime.
Overall, not a good character to pick.
After the buffs, shadow become more skill based character, can push more and gets pushed back more after landing homing attack to put more distance between him and exe. If you know how to use him right he is solid but if you have no idea what you are doing, you are going down in 20 or less seconds.
Since the knock back buff on boost with stomp he's more of save run kinda character?

The reason metal can’t jump during push is that since metal sonic is more so of a self sacrifice character, the removal of jumping during push would force you to go down with the exe to stall more time for the team
shadow is literally the best staller in the entire game, his dash with his homing attack can travel ACROSS THE MAP in seconds. the homing attack got a MASSIVE buff, because he basically has 2 dashes if you use it correctly.
this is of course, if exe goes for shadow that entire round.
Metal is technically meant to be a sacrifice character, since one of his abilitys push the exe and the grapple pulls the exe towards him, the self-destruct is for also that purpose since it kills metal however it has extreme knockback, but people can just choose to not use if they want to win, I mainly use it as a last resort when I know I am gonna die, it can waste some of the exe's time because of the knockback and stun.
3:54 she can't dodge while healing, yes she can with her speedboost but that's only if its done but she just stands there because she is still healing and the exe can still hit or grab her

Maybe its just me, but does anyone else think Eggman's rework just doesn't work in the game? Not only is he kinda bad, but when you compare it to the other characters, it just doesn't make any sense why shock was taken from him.
I would agree with Out's decision to revove it, if it wasn't for the fact that he contradicts himself with some of the characters. For example, lets take a look at the support characters of this game. Every support character can combo with their abilities, except Eggman. Support characters shouldn't be able to combo with their abilities in the first place, but all of them besides he can. It's also kinda weird how people say he deserved to lose shock because he is a support character, and support characters should not have weak stuns, or any stuns at all, but nobody says anything about orb. Orb is a weak, spammy stun that Silver has, and he is meant to be support. In fact, every support character has some form of self defense besides Cream and Eggman, but it makes sense for Cream because she gets a tiny hit box and is the designated healer of the team. Eggman has a large hit box and a playstyle so passive to the point it encourages targeting.
If you're not close enough to the fight, you're useless, but if you get to close, you're kinda screwed, because he has no instant mobility like he did before. Unlike Cream however, you have to constantly stay in the fact to place new turrets and restock the old ones, whichs means that you are putting yourself in waaay more danger than the only other character with no self defense. Not only that, but the other characters outclass him with their abilities. Rouge can make it so that Sonic is visible at all times without worrying about her sensors being destroyed. She can also make him temporarily blind and also has access to a stun. She is supposed to be a recon character, but at this pont she sort of feels like a debuff character, since all of her tools can be used to inconvenience Sonic in a way that can help her teammates. Eggman's whole thing is being a debuff character, yet the character that has a different purpose outclasses him. Plus, the effect his ability gives isn't even original. Sally can also slow down Sonic with emp. The whole point of a support character is that they have to be as original and unique as possible, because unlike a stunner, it just feels like you're playing a worse character with a different coat of paint. Unlike a stunner, there is no way to truly get good at Eggman because he has a simple, passive, playstyle.
There is also the fact that he has no way to help himself if he gets targeted, but every other support character does.

Eggman, Tails and Cream in my opinion are the only bad characters in the game right now, for that exact reason. I'm under the opinion that Tails is the worst character in the game, but Eggman is VERY bad as well, which sucks because I like the idea of a map control character like this but it just isn't performed super well. The one thing saving him from being bottom 1 for me is the different angles jetpack provides for its reasonably short cooldown, something Tails can only dream of with how ridiculously long it takes to get glide back. 100% agree, this updated really messed up Eggman.

I just think overall even if their functions on the team are in general better than Eggman's, at least Eggman's support is unique while the other two are more outclassed. Sally is just strictly better than Cream, and Tails is basically unneeded when you have better stallers like Knuckles and especially Metal Sonic. Plus with survivability, Eggman's Jetpack is in general a shorter cooldown and has a lot more variety in how you use it so long as you have the time to charge it, while Cream and Tails are stuck with much longer cooldowns with much worse mobility in general (Glide is super slow and barely gives you any distance especially for a 30 second cooldown, and Speed Boost is super easy to counter with spindash and charge). I still believe Eggman is a pretty bad character and really needs buffs to be viable, but I think Tails and Cream are just a little worse from a gameplay perspective.

Top 3 (IMO):
Sally - Super good if you can time EMP properly. Only real downsides is getting targeted due to shield share, and is kinda weaker against Kolossos
Knuckles - Defacto stunner, not much to say.
Silver - I think he's a great all-rounder character, like his orb is a great close-mid range stun if you got good predicts, speed radius is super helpful (especially if you got a team all grouped together), and his barrier when placed properly gives easy jukes.
Bottom 3:
Shadow - Not bad, but I think he's mediocre. His homing attack is just eh, sometimes its good, sometimes it ain't. Imo is tackle was far better. Boost is still very good if you know good routes for it.
Tails - Never really liked his playstyle, but the delay makes him far worse. He's now best played when you're far back, occasionally taking shots at the Exe. Has awful solo potential. His glide is really mediocre and only handy when going for revives.
Eggman - Never touched Eggman but damn did the dev butcher him. Legit my only guess as to why his shock was changed is because Sally's EMP was sorta similar. The turrets not stacking when both exes can very easily avoid or ignore them is bad.
Knuckles was the only one who didnt got a nerf, even, they buffed him with a 15 cooldown on punch and 20 cooldown of block
honestly,if they give a way to eggman to defend himself (other than turrets) like bringing back the old shock (not the nerfed one) then he wouldve be fine.

You don't have to wait jetpack...you can press in all parts of the bar...but if have no bar...He will fly up...if the bar is completed,eggman will dash
Blaze is a solid S tier wdym. Shes really good as a solo survivor and can save teammates easily if she's remotely close. If you stun with Fire Tornado you can pop a Heatwave and either use it to run then attack back if EXE goes after you, or jump the EXE if he goes after somebody else. Not to mention being able to do insane jumps with Fire Tornado on some maps with the springs, or just using Fire Tornado on springs for a mix-up, since it moves so fast and can buy you like 8 seconds if the EXE didn't see your mix-up. Heatwave giving you speed for about 7 seconds or so is amazing, since it prolongs chase, and even the attack itself isn't bad, just dont use it inside the EXE, it wont work.

It’s not delayed at all, the bar just determines which velocity, plus ive seen eggman players jump and use it like jetpack used to have. make what you will with this info
Imo tails is second worse since predicting an exe is almost impossible if they dont move predictably and you need good aim just for the 2.5 second stun. ( the balancing in this upd is dogwater

If you press space and it's filled under halfway, eggman will boost upwards like 1.0 jetpack.
If it's over halfway it's a boost FORWARDS
5:25 Homing attack is now MOUSE AIMED, and no longer auto aimed. Means you can use it as a mobility by aiming up to get up to a higher place. It also can be used mid air now!!!

I like the shadow changes. Boost in air is great but the honing attack changes give you a lot more freedom when using it. You can hit sonic from further away as the green circle gave you less range. If sonic just runs away from you when you use it you can homing attack the other way and gain some distance. It all around just gives you more freedom when using it

On pc, silvers orb becomes the best projectile in the game, sure it has less stun than Amy’s hammer or Tail’s arm cannon, but it’s easier to hit than thr either of them, and it comes out INSTANTLY, you can fire it the frame it comes out, and for us pc players, that means you can stun the exe instantly, wi this it’s possible to:
Cancel spin dash and charge
Hit exe when he uses the spring to force him off
Instantly save your teammates from grab from anywhere
And that’s also not mentioning barrier, which if you do use it right (quite hard to get it right) can block off a spring entirely. I can see silver becoming an S tier character once people get his moves down right
Eggman's jetpack is fine, even better since it has dual use, but the turrets are too meh, they are only useful when there are three and Silver activates his boost ability.
Honestly eggman would be good if his jetpack charged by holding down the jetpack ability button, allowing for instant upward mobility when needed but also letting you charge up for insane vertical mobility that can get you across wide AF vertical gaps (with the downside of the jetpack only having the vertical aspect when charged, as it doesn’t go up or down when used fully charged.), then giving him his stun back while keeping the turrets, Amy, rouge, and silver get three abilities, why shouldn’t eggman have three?
I believe metal lost his ability to jump and push because he was really overpowered by being able to launch exe off ledges with 2 moves that have relatively short cooldowns in td standards

I feel like people hating on eggmans rework. I understand him not being able to rescue people with shock to revive or end chases is a sad thing to lose but his turrents can help so much when you place them right. The jetpack feels better because its faster than shadows dash and Kolossus dash as well. When you use it early, it launches you upward higer than before so he can still rescue in terms of revivals.
Well, hes still defenseless, exe can just target him and he'll die so quick. No matter how good your juking is.

Also the Push and Grapple combo can launch monsters of the map, go to the direction of the place you want him to fall, then move to him to make him fall without you falling
I am a Eggman fan, I main him, I still do, but when I’m targeted, there’s nothing I can do. The jetpack doesn’t help me cause it doesn’t go high enough, it may be my lag but geez. And once I place my turret, exe destroys it and laughs afterwards.
He’s basically a rouge now like you said, he’s good when there’s a full server. But alone or targeted, I fear he may be cooked.
I want shock so bad, I don’t care if they even nerf the shock, I just want it back. Atleast he has something to defend himself with, it’s how I do solos as Eggman with 100 danger time. Eggman was kinda the reason I played disaster a lot.
I won’t be playing the disaster as much anymore, but for now If I want to stun, I’ll play as Blaze.

Silver became the best character in this game because he's a hybrid of tails with knuckles' hitbox plus cream's speed with sally's shield, he's very versatile because he's good in any situation.
By versatility I mean that he's good for: close stun/far stun, he gives buffs to allies and himself, he can use his barrier on springs or in places where sonic climbs so that he can't climb.

So, they made 2 characters over powered (Silver and Blaze) and basically made the Heavy (Eggman) and the Medic (Cream) Basically like they were in Alpha 0.4 (pre 1.0) just a big and small Hitbox respectively.
There has to he an eggman hater in the team, cause those changes make no sense at all.
most character i feel bad for is EGGMAN. his shock got removed sadly and i though outlaik would make his shock short stun but can stun multiple exes! besides shock is literally with sally now her EMP ability can slow down multiple exes and can have a speed boost when successfully landed on exe or a minion. so EMP is literally eggman's shock but way better.
Eggman is sooo bad... but for the jetpack, the longer it charges the further u go but not very high, the less charge, the higher you get pushed but won't go far, kinda of a buff....but he's still nerfed to the ground tho.
You don't need to wait for a jetpack to fully charge for it to work, the charge just plays more into the mobility part, making it more like SOH jetpack
I’ve been playing blaze a lot more and I think she’s a little underrated. Heatwave is good to save teammates since it’s a lunge and it has that speed boost. And the best part about it is that heatwave bypasses block!! Both abilities work really well together if you position yourself correctly, it just takes a bit of practice :3
Mhm. I have to agree with you, I've been playing Blaze for a while, and I've gotten used to playing as her, I now know how to use her properly and carefully. Also, I recently soloed as her against 3 exes when everyone else left. I was on 10 hp plus revived at the time. IT WAS FUCKING SCARY AS HELL!!!!!

I agree with egg, even if I like him more that v0.75. I think the turrets should knock exe back, not stun him but push him back and it should take like 5
secs to destroy a turret so it wastes exe’s time and the jetpack should have 2 variations. Speed burst and launch. Launch sends you up like 1.1 and speed burst send you far but not high. That’s my fix for eggman. Overall I do miss when egg was good in 0.8-1.2 alpha but now he’s mid as hell. I think metal is overrated as solo survival wise he kinda sucks but that’s just my thoughts. I think why jumping for metal sonic was removed when using push on exe was because so many metal sonic players would do that thing where you jump off a edge and exe will fall off

you need to use only one turret just to slow him down it also has a huge amount of detection range so you can just put them in far places. you can try to hide them because anything that doesn't have collision the turret can shoot through. the jetpack is actually pretty op for certain spots that doesn't have any ladders, you can also activate it mid air which i completely forgot about and if you need to give yourself a speed boost use it in mid air so it charges while falling. For solos he is straight booty but team wise he is the best. To sum it up just place the turrets in good spots recharge them when exe isn't there, hide from the exe the entire round and you're good.
eggman is 1000x in this update for me, a lot of utility, the slowdown is super useful for juking or just buying time, the jetpack is also nice, A tier for me

I’m gonna be 100% frank here. I like eggman’s rework, BUT, they do need to buff the turrets. If they would give them like actual health. They could be two shot for Klososs and three for small exe since he’s already the fastest character in the game with no abilities. And the Jetpack rework is fine, it’s just it ain’t really usefull in chase bc you’re most likely gonna hit trying to change it. And giving the turrets a decreased cooldown would also help. Either what I just said or bring shock back as a third ability (the 0.75 alpha one) so he has SOME form of self defense. Right now he’s so HEAVILY reliant on his teammates 24/7. And as of rn the turrets can’t really do much bc they’re one shot by a SPINDASH! Ik this game is a team game but with how stupid public lobbies are and how selfish players can be eggman is honestly just the unhealthiest thing rn. I miss egg Boi from 1.1. Ohhh the days of jumping off a shocking an exe out of the blue are already coming back. ;(

4:40 Actually Sally can now heal other players, how you say? So. When other players has 15 hp Sally gives 15 shield hp to them. So.. 15+15= to 30 right? Instead.. Sally gives them 35 health. the 5 in the health is a bonus. Hope this helped.
As a metal main the short explanation for the removal of jumping while using push is because it encouraged him to stay high up and just throw exe off ledges which not only stalled him decently well but had zero downsides for metal. push is intended to force exe to chase him which makes it risky to use, so throwing him off a ledge kinda got rid of the whole point of it.

I also like using barrier as a tool almost for juking. If I go to the other side of the barrier then sonic will go to that side too and try and hit me. So what I do is go to the other side instead to confuse him

You dont need multiple turrets to do something if you mean stacking the effect, the slowdown is VERY noticeable if you are EXE or juking him as a survivor + stacking wont work so space your turrets apart
I mean I wouldnt disagree with the minion part since back then they just kinda fucked Eggman but now it takes them way more time to destroy a turret (if you repair them consistently)
Turrets are more useful than you think, trust me they make a MAJOR difference in juking if you place them right. Plus play as EXE with a good Eggman player and you will want him dead.
Turrets take strategy to place, so dont stack them, dont put them in dumb places and generally try to hide them when possible. They can cover a lot of ground if placed well and not too close that two of them are shooting at him at once but not too far so all ground in whatever area your team is camping in is being protected by a turret. Plus the turrets last way longer than EMP and are less risky.
He's a support, of course he will be weaker than the others, but his jetpack can be annoying to go against if he uses it right.
Also for anyone that thinks Jetpack is worse you can get a lot more versatile use out of it, plus the double jump you can do with it sends you much farther up than you could before, you do not need to charge it fully. Just use it right.
Eggman is very good for your team and decent by himself, he just takes a lot more strategy and skill now to play as efficiently. He's better than before and more fun too.
Albeit a shit Eggman player is more of a burden so I can see why people would hate on him if all they got were bad players.

the only thing i really disagree with is not putting silver in at least s tier because he is pretty good at everything if you know how to use him. the barrier is easy to avoid but you can get around that by placing it while the exe is about to hit you and the barrier can stop charges, the energy ball is pretty much just a stronger version of tail's gun, and the speed aura has a pretty high range.
Of course Outlaik do the worst choise to delete chock now its only 0.1% Chance to you survive with him only of your a teamers or you are in a Friendly exe round

I don’t know how to explain it very well, but here’s some.

As Amy, you are a frontline type character. You are mainly meant to fight EXE. You can switch to a Backliner due to Hammer throw incase of emergency’s. But she’s mainly a frontliner. When you use hammer attack, the EXE will sometimes try to bait you into using hammer attack. When EXES are near you and done lunging, then is your time to strike. As they are slowed. With hammer throw, The farther you are the higher you aim. Pretty simple. (I have an Amy guide that gives more tips on hammer throw aswell.) And with hammer spin, it should only be used while in chase or trying to push EXES off the edge of a cliff. Because if you try to save someone with it, it makes you very vulnerable if you don’t have hammer attack or hammer throw. Here’s some general tips aswell.
1. If EXE is camping your hammer it would be best to not go for it. That way EXE will waste time. Unless a teammate is helping you get it back, then you should get it.
2. Try to swap between frontliner and backliner. Amy is one of the most targeted characters in the game. So it’s best to swap between frontliner with Hammer attack and Hammer spin, and backliner with hammer throw.

I can respect the editing you did its all very good, but for me i think most of the points about tails and eggman in this video are wrong
For tails hes like a d class for me and i hate the devs for butchering him cause i used to like playing him.
His glide ability is meant to be a shortcut type ability (ie to get to certain places or to just get to your team faster) and not just a time waster ability. But whatever i can overlook that what REALLY grinds my bones is the delay. My god
The delay. Made tails do f✓(k all because its near impossible to hit anyone. He was already hard enough to play and now they just neutered him.
For eggman, he is *of course* a support character.
Now i can see why you think his redesign is bad but thats simply because you haven't explored how to play him enough, what i do with him is place turrets around one big spot where the exe can't get them all easily (for example in the dark map where the bridge is, you put one on the bridge and another across on the cave) this way your slowdown lasts longer and is more of a nuisance to the exe, as a good support should be.
Most of your other points were pretty valid aswell so good video, keep up the work
The problem is the change wasn't needed and drove away more people than brought in, not to mention it's a chore to fight against and tedious to play as to most.
He *can* be effective, but most competent EXEs shut you down before you become a problem. You put in all this work and play around all these problems when you could've just stunned him and gotten it over with

I'm gonna say shadow is definitely one of the BEST mobility characters because it's not just boost the can be used in midair homing attack can also be usedmidair put those together? Get ~halfway across the map yes both abilities gone but it also provides upwards mobility too
Also, some of the “stuns” you listed as stuns are not stuns (if exe’s block does nothing against it’s effects, it’s almost guaranteed to not be a stun, also if the exe doesn’t “hiss” when hit by it, it’s not a stun.), instead they are what I call “pushes” since the exe is pushed back and only loses control for the duration that he slides along the ground for.
Knuckles is such a good skill character I main him and tbh you need skill for him since he can get baited easily
i diyched rouge for a,y and tails, but since shes a better support i might go back to her, although i play sally alot more (ppl kept being rude to me as rouge whenever i hid so i stopper playing her, and i can see why they git mad tbh, bc it just added more time for them)
