Theory: The Unknown statue is similar to the Infinity Guardian of one of Bona's older series. Both being the creator of each of their own kind respectively, hence why they're a mix of all. The Infinity guardian created the other guardians while the Unknown Statue, aka the Unknown Species is the creator of the Species/Powers.

When Nyx had her power that was from the unknown god, it was mentioned that her family are the strongest people. There was probably another god like a creation god who stood side and was equal with the unknown god but the creation god had passed because of demons as soon as people had known her special power but she hadn't expected this so she couldn't give this power to anyone or find a successor that could have the power and this god could be someone related to Nyx, maybe aunt/uncle. Therefore when the unknown God who wasn't summoned for a really long time wanted to get revenge on demons for hurting the creation God, also known as Nyx's sister and because it was Yumi, who had befriended Nyx she didn't want her friend (the creation god) relatives to suffer like she/he did so she put out all the anger on Yumi 😶 Edit: ✨Sorry this was a *long* theory✨

Theory: when Retri had her power, her power had malfunctioned a bit so it had changed her personality and it had changed her power to be at the highest level of power.
When Nyx had her power that was from the unknown god, it was mentioned that her family are the strongest people. There was probably another god like a creation god who stood side and was equal with the unknown god but the creation god had passed because of demons as soon as people had known her special power but she hadn't expected this so she couldn't give this power to anyone or find a successor that could have the power and this god could be someone related to Nyx, maybe aunt/uncle. Therefore when the unknown God who wasn't summoned for a really long time wanted to get revenge on demons for hurting the creation God, also known as Nyx's sister and because it was Yumi, who had befriended Nyx she didn't want her friend (the creation god) relatives to suffer like she/he did so she put out all the anger on Yumi 😶

It's so similar bc sometimes we get manipulated from the ppl we th8nk they r trust worthy but they r fake as plastic and sometimes we think getting better than someone would give you happiness but we sometimes don't preciate the things we have right in front of us
