Watching and listening to this is REALLY making me excited for the new sets (especially nehza’s ring of fire mech and the nine headed beast sets) and for the new season which I wonder if it’s going to be some sort of special where we see all the demons alive and doing what they were in the megaopolis city set or if it’s going to be a new full season with actual villains (which before it had clear images and it’s official reveal I thought the robots in the Mei mech set were the villain army of whatever the villain was going to be)
DB took some pretty serious liberties with the story of Journey to the West. Even more than this show. Goku wasn't exactly an egotistical mass murder being exiled to a chamber underneath the mountains as a punishment for rebelling against the Jade Emperor and single handedly slaughtering his entire army. ...Though it was more true to the character of Pig. The one whose crime was raping the Jade Emperor's wife... or was it his daughter. Either way, that is some seriously WTF were you thinking? Raping God's wife. It makes even the Monkey King seem reasonable by comparison. Makes you think that the third immortal guy forced to go on their suicidal mission was screwed over, since his crime was spilling the Jade Emperor's tea. (I think he was called Monk, but I can't remember. It's been years since I read Journey to the West.) Imagine if you went to prison for spilling tea and then found out that Pig and the Monkey King were your cell mates. Your just some guy who serves tea and they are the most hardened criminals imaginable. Its like you forgot to pay your parking ticket and were for some reason put on DC's Suicide Squad.
