@@Titancameraman4.4 Yeah.If you search him up,you can even find a statue of him as a toddler that looks like a girl. If you're wondering about the haircut,it's not just him. Many depictions of his brother Muzha/Moksha/Hui'an (who appears in one of the famous JTTW covers, with twin buns & holding his rod) & Ang Hai Zi (who in this show is Red Son) are also like that.Even just random young boys characters in old chinese illustrations has a similar hairstyle that makes you think they're girls.I've been wondering if it came from those hairstyles chinese people in the past like to give to little boys that shaves all the hair while leaving a tuft of hair.Cause in the book,Nezha is described as a boy with two tufts of hair at each side of his head instead of the twin buns most people are familiar with when it comes to stereotypical chinese hairstyles.(Another thing is that Nezha is god of youth, maybe that's why they designed his hair that way) In modern day depictions though, you'll keep seeing these kind of young boy characters played by girls for some reason, like the disciples of the immortal of the owner of Ginsengfruit tree in 80s JTTW,90's version of Nezha, and the student that received Wukong knocking on Slanting Crescent cave who's a dude in the book. What's interesting is the exception is that random boy character with twin tufts from the episode where Wukong & Tripitaka met from the 80's.Like,the only live action Nezha I know that's actually played by a boy is the one from 2005 Lotus Lantern. This is a really long, convoluted way of me saying "Yeahhh I've got no idea why that's a thing either." 😂 What I do know though,is the reason for the flower theme. It's cause Nezha's soul was resurrected into a body made of lotus roots and described to be clothed by lotus leaves (that's why he's called Third Lotus Prince, and this story is kinda different depending if you're following JTTW or Fengshen Yanyi). Also,Johnny Yong Bosch voices him in this.Pretty ironic since both him & Nero has daddy issues 😅
