Haven't been back out here for nearly 20 years since I was a kid. 98, 00, 02 and the last time 2004. That tanges sports bar wasn't even there when I last went on 04, that was just a big open area above the supermarket. This has bought back so many memories.
Thanks Kev, we stay in Benalmadena a few times a year and mix our nights out between the Marina, the Sea Front and Bonanza Square. Excellent atmosphere and good value for money. There’s no live entertainment in these bars. There is an excellent wine bar just down the steps at the Feathers Bar and around to the left. Good quality food and an excellent choice of wines. Occasionally they have live Spanish music, great night. Cheers ☘️☘️☘️
Good video Kevin, the Feathers is a good English bar nice friendly staff,if you go down the steps and the feathers and turn left there is a good chippie was there in January.
Hi we've been to Spain many times but never to benalmadena so we've booked for the first time this year . We found your videos so informative and can't wait to get there , thanks again and stay safe pal.
Who remembers some of the staff in Johnnie's Bar, (Especially the GORGEOUS Cathy,It's Getting Better!), where I loved to have a 'tuna sandwich' some years ago? Ricky Lavazza, AND The Costa Soul Band/Tommy Scott/Jeff Lynne/Johnnie G/Lesley Harrison, AND Limited Edition as Kool &The Gang...GREAT bunch of people!
Good morning to you Kevin, and thank you for your response. If and when you may have the opportunity, please feature the 'Bonanza Bar'. Should anyone remember the compere and his lady, Joyce? Joyce passed away around five years ago. Such a TRAGIC loss, what a lovely lady she was.
Spent many an evening in Bonanza square over the last twenty five years. Particularly at Brian’s bar or who ever owned it/ran it then. Had meals at most of the restaurants as well although never been to the Chinese restaurant. We usually go to Panda Restaurant on Avenida Bonanza.
I’m going waaaaaay back!Anybody remember an American bar called Bojangles from back in the 80’s? I think across the street/carreterra was a bar called Xanadu.
Thank you so much for this, we have booked to come in August staying at Pierre & vacancies self catering for a cheap break (not been away since before covid) been to Benalmadena twice before all inclusive but never knew of this place! Looks amazing and so much more affordable for us! Could I ask if this is within walking distance of our hotel?
Hi Kevin . Going to Benalmadena for the first time with a group of friends . Would you recommend getting a hotel near the bonzana square ? 24 square ? Or the Marina ? Thanks.
Probably down towards Marina you can easily walk into Torremolinos and there are lots of good bars in the street just off the prom on your way. There are some good bars near 24 hour square but I wasnt a fan of the square
@@ScotsmaninTenerife thanks Kevin , we have booked a hotel near the bonzanza square , up the hill 😂😂. Been watching loads of your videos . They are really good 👍🏻👍🏻
I went looking for Bonanza on my 1st trip to Torremolinos. This was about 10 yrs ago, and tried to find it on Google maps. It led me to a tired little parade of pubs, maybe 5 or 6 of them, either empty or closed. Never went back to the area. I'm actually dumbstruck seeing that
Visited this square a couple of weeks ago. Won’t go back, dirty place surrounded by undesirable properties! Couldn’t wait to walk back to Benalmadena sea front.
@@deborahalden5312 is not dirty, the restaurants and bars trying to to keep clean the place. Also the council clean the grounds every day Monday to Sunday. Is busy and noisy.
Bonansa and Ibensa are aimed at pensioners and families with children. The entertainment is like the 1980s - karaoke, drag acts etc and the food is canteen standard. Hence why it's so cheap. It's a blight on the town to be honest.
Check out behind The Scenes !

Bar Ibensa is defiantly the best bar there, so cheap and the people there are great. Our apartment was a 2 minute walk from there

Faros Irish bar is great for Sunday dinner.
Good to all those bars full of British tourists again.
That's the Irish bar Recommended for the Young team 😂🍀
Wonder if skipper's fish and chip restaurant is still here
El Karmen is excellent 😎

Where was Big Hoss ?

Always
I suspect at those cheap prices the steak was once called Red Rum 😆
Is there any entertainment in these bars or is it just tvs
Don't think any entertainment.
*The Bonanza Bar...About ten metres from the square...Check it out...

Yeah Ibensa and Bonansa bring the rest of the town down. I live here and avoid them at all costs.
Dirty square.
@@Solipsismmusicmaybe for the noise
Brits residents, use to eat and drink there.

I'm sure the last time a was there the Euro bar was there
The Euro Bar is called the Retro Bar now. Changed hands two years ago.

Make sure you don’t fall off your high horse.
It does look so tacky though
I always use an Uber when I am there they are so cheap.
There was a nice strip club in the far right corner?
Owned by a black man from manchester.
Fond memories of bonanza square! 😁
Dont blame your phone ;irs just a seedy place.
dont think this bit is seedy at the square
