My car is ar 147, 1.6, 16v, 105hp. Anyway, the car run in almost great condition. Inside was a little dirt, black dirt, but i clean all thing there, carefully. In the first, car start very, very good. The running is the same, maybe a little batter on acc. All the best, Cheers
Really well-edited video, I have cleaned my throttle body before but might do it again after watching this video. I have an Alfa Romeo 156 2.0TS and right now I'm having issues with it, it won't rev over 4k rpm. It's not the MAF. I tried disconnecting it and it still wouldn't rev over 4k. Do you have any experience with this and if so what was the fault? I think the car has entered a so-called "limp mode", not sure though. I have a video on me revving if you want to see I could share the link.
Thanks, it is usually a symptom of the bad MAF sensor, however, it can be different issues as well like fuel pressure, poor compression, vacuum leak... I would hook it up to diagnostic tool, and bring up different parameters including MAF signal, O2 signals, injection time, etc. I can't tell you for sure, I would have to personally inspect the car...
@@arcgarage Okay i see, do you think it could have something to do with the crankshaft sensor, I've actually replaced it with an cheap 200kr about 25$/20£ sensor and in the beginning it worked fine but after maybe one month it wouldn't rev over 4k also i plugged in the car with OBD2 port to multiecuscan and I got error code P0335 RPM sensor, I tried to clear it but it just keeps on reappearing and I've also taken it out several times to clean it, it has oil on it, I'm not quite sure if it should have oil on it but I guess so since the crankshaft probably is lubricated with oil
Then it would be a good idea to start there. If it reappears constantly, it means there is an issue, either with sensor, with wiring, or with ECU(which is least probable)...
@@Meox_YT Cleaning it doesn't fix it. You'll just have to replace it. Use only BOSCH. It's not exepensive. Similar simptoms has the camshaft sensor. That one means cambelt off. And yes, should be oily because it's "reading" the teeth from the crankshaft which spins very close to the oil pan.
Thanks, even if that happens you can easily erase it using diagnostics. However, if everything is ok, computer is going to register it, and it won't illuminate airbag light even if you disconnected the airbag...
Facts, I moved my seat like 10 times and warning showed up, i was so concerned until I touched the connectors under the seat to see if they´re unplugged and the warning dissappeared
No problem. Mass air flow sensor, and oxygen sensor. MAF sensor could be detecting air flow inaccurately, but the bigger chance is that the O2 senor doesn't measure air/fuel ration properly. Those are just two possible causes, you could also have faulty temperature sensor, etc.

No problem. ECU reset allows it to relearn different parameters including the throttle position. It can have numerous benefits from better acceleration to smoother idle...

MY mechanic says i have to buy a new ECU but i havent been with him long and he hasnt always been thoroughly honest with me. could you please advise me on what i could do becasue i cant start my car with my key.

I did this( also the ecu reset) the throttle body was full of dirt. But now when I stop my idle hovers at 1500-1300 for a couple of seconds and then goes to 1000 rpm. Also when switching gears rpm kinda sticks for a moment. It seems to work more normally when cold. Any ideas? I also cleande MAF.

Tomorrow I'll check the MAF following your Maf video, my 2 issues with the 2.2jts are , a couple of seconds in accelerator lag when I floor it (specially from standing still) , and 2> allways on maximum consumption (or beyond max), it shows me 5.5km/liter or 17liters/100 km. Among those issues there is no hesitasion, no significant power loss, no erratic idle no warning dash lights, I guess a bit a clutch slippery specially after a city run. . I don't know where to beging with, so I'll start with a MAF cleanup, any ideas? good videos man, keep them coming!
Hi can you help me ? My check engine light is on I went to check codes and it was maf sensorI but my mechanic cleaned throttle body. And it stoped showing ce light. That's confusing what throttle body has to do with maf sensor. Now it started doing it again, i rev it few times and turn on and of car and it check engine light goes away. Can it be faulty throttle body or maf sensor, also my rpms "dance" a little bit when car is not moving in neutral between 950 900. Also car runs fine no lack of power etc. Only when it happend firist time my car would turn off when coasting in neutral now it does not turn off.
Hey thanks for answering, i did diagnostic at 2 different shops, all said it was Maf sensor. I have cahange it ordered brand new maf bosch OEM sensor, and you can guess it still throws same check engine light and same code for maf sensor how ???
There's no need to do that. No effect. Pepole should take care of the 'variateur de phase' instead, because on this engine, it causes much noise and power problems when disfunctional.

You either need to reprogram it, or buy ecu immo module and key in package

Hello, could i spray carb cleaner without dissasembling the body entirely? would that help? My 1.8 is very jerky when I let go of the gas pedal.

You have to follow up on the parameters with diagnostic tool, but it could essentially be both, that's why follow up on the parameters is a must
