He broke me here. I can't understand how a young man can feel and make 130000 people feel the same emotions within just a few notes. It is a tragedy, but he is tender, passionate, and brutal at the same time. The vocals!!!! I think it was the most moving performance I watched.
Gloria Wu has a great behind the song story on her channel about this song. The true story about a child who lost his parents from a cable car accident. As they fell to death, he was lifted to safety. The woman that wrote this song adopted the child and raised him as her own. The woman who adopted the little boy is Han Hon, and she wrote and sang this song. You can see her singing this song on “The Singer”, she is an amazing singer.
In 1999, a freak cable car accident in China killed 14 and injured more than a dozen. A couple barely lifted their 30 months old son into the arms of rescuers before both of them plunged to their deaths. Han Hong, a respected and well known singer and philanthropist composed this song to commemorate this couple's final sacrifice for their child. She later adopted this orphan.

I f you want to take in consideration a reaction to a concert of Dimash; I think that his latest Kiev is just mind boggling stunning. This one that includes Daybreak was the early concerts of many Dears that's why it is special, but quality wise regards his artistry and vocals I still think the recent concerts in particular "Kiev concert" have been the most satisfying for any music lover. They did not survive the accident. Han Hong, who is a famous Chinese singer and songwriter, wrote “Daybreak” to commemorate the couple’s sacrifice for their child. In order to finish the song, Han Hong went to experience the feeling of riding a cable car. Through going up and down in the normal operation of the cable car, Han Hong felt fear and helplessness what is more to say in the terrifying moment of the accident. In the time of life and death, parents think of not themselves but their child, they tried everything to give him the chance of escaping from crushing to death. This is the love of parents. The little boy’s survival is a miracle held up by his parents’ hands. Han Hong later adopted the orphan. She said she feels empathy with the boy more than others since she herself lost her father at the age of six.
It's almost unfathomable to think of all the emotions this boy went through that day, let alone how they all exploded inside one little toddler.
