chaotix has chaos rings.
Funny enough, Colors might be the most hell. You have collect the red star rings AND beat the Sonic Simulator levels.
Colors took so much of time when it comes to this challenge. And Lost World on PC is taking a good amount too

The cool this about this challenge idea is that it still leaves room for extra rules to be added on top for some extra spice. To significantly boost the challenge if you mess up in a special stage, you go back to the beginning of that game
I have made the same list, but i added All sonic games with MCguffin's it wasn't 42 games it ended up being 62, but i like suffering so i'll do it anyway :) (I changed it to 62 because i also added Sega Superstars Tennis, so every time i use the star power to turn Super Sonic i'll change games)
Oh, from the thumbnail I thought this was going to be about combining sonic with marble blast
this sounds like a neat concept. especially if you're only playing the games with special stages.
personally this sounds more annoying than challenging, but I can definitely see how it could be interesting.
I really want to try this now, this'll sure be a gauntlet.

Lol true. I own mostly everything sonic on steam besides superstars and colours ultimate so it wouldn't be hard to get them in it. If I do end up doing it bro I'll give you the credit for giving the idea I may actually get started tomorrow or the weekend

The reason why it’s not editable is because that’s the one I’m using for challenge right now. I could try to make another wheel that’s like a carbon copy of it so people can edit it. I’ll try to get that done sometime soon. Thanks for asking! That’s a really good idea

I would imagine that, in addition to Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Spinball would also take a while in this challenge, with that game having, like, 15 emeralds in each stage.

That would mean playing the same game like 50 times because of how many times I'd have to replay the special stages >_>
Seriously, I'm playing Sonic 2 for the first time and it feels like a third if not the half of the game is spent restarting special stages over and over @_@
Yup! That’s one of the challenging parts. You gotta manage to master the special stages of every Sonic game.
What about Knuckles Chaotix with the Chaos Rings

I have Sonic Classic Collection on my DS, and that has Knuckles in Sonic 2 and S3K as well as the base versions of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 (and bear in mind that I don't have Sonic Origins), would Sonic 3 count as a separate game from S3K or does only S3K count? And would I need to do multiple save files in S3K as each of the different character choices (including Sonic + Tails), or is only one save file okay? And if you get multiple emeralds prior to getting to save (such as entering multiple special stages before you can save in S3K or getting multiple emeralds from a cutscene) what happens then?
Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic 3 CAN count as two separate games. I just add Sonic 3 & Knuckles when I do the challenge.
You only need 2 save files technically. 1 for Sonic and Tails and 1 for Knuckles.
When you get multiple emeralds before being able to save, that counts as getting one emerald. Makes things easier to track

I’m playing mission mode in sonic origins and already have every time stone and chaos emerald (for sonic 1 at least) I will edit this if I get more
I didn't understand the objective of the challenge just watching the video, but I think this would work the best if the objective is to beat a single game with the true ending, I got the implication you need to best all the games but that seems like too much for me idk, making it so it's beating 1 game seems good enough
You can change it up as much as you want! As long as the core of the objective is present (Rule #1) and you're having fun, that's all that matters
Me who didn't get (yet) a single Chaos Emerald in Origins: _gasp_
Eggman is laughing at you and juggling Emeralds on a black screen. His only words to you..."Try Again"
Definitely recommend trying to get S3&K's Super Emeralds with Amy; she gets the ability to throw hammers, and it's hilarious how quickly this can annihilate 99% of bosses.
@ThatSonicGamer I know... I've joined the Sonic fan family very recently, and have near no experience with platforming and relatively slow natural reaction time, so didn't even expect to get them on my first playthrough.
Question: Do the Secret rings in Black Knight count?
I personally say no because those are collectibles that can be earned so many times. The Swords from the Knights of Round Table and Excalibur fit the definition of an Emerald more so than the role the Secret Rings play in Black Knight. BUT HEY! If you want to make it count then go for it!
This sounds like its going to be annoying AF A make me hate my life & the series as a whole. IM IN LETS NDO IT. Though can i switch a few rules. 2 and 3 confused me and I want to do this in 365 days
