- Today we'll see the ultimate battle between defenses in Clash of Clans. From the humble down to earth cannon to the mighty monolith, we have a lot of defenses in Clash of Clans. The newer defenses usually put in the high town hall level and make them a high tier defenses. The old generation defenses in the other hand become more available in the lower town hall. The question is, are these new higher tier defenses really that great? or are we underappreciated the value of the low tier defenses? Today we'll face them against each other to see which one is the more powerful defenses. This is High End Defenses VS Low End Defenses in Clash of Clans. Enjoy!

You should deploy all the troops at maximum range. Your range is inconsistent. Its either too close or too far for some towers, and that creates a bias

Bomb towers are so bad imo
Just to clarify a lot of people are saying they aren't bad and when fully maxed they aren't. However they are way too expensive and upgrading other buildings/traps will benefit you a lot more.

@@gxcrystal_yt so what? All defenses has their own weaknesses. A defense is considered good if it can effectively do what it does best. You can't expect a wizard tower to kill a pekka but it's good at dealing with bats, while a monolith can easily beat a pekka but struggles against bats.

Mortar on Town Hall 7-11 starts getting insanely disappointing, as by that point many attacks are just air and the mortar cant even keep up well with the wizard towers, bomb towers and multi infernos. They honestly just become a decoration at that point. They start getting useful again after TH12 with flame flinger strategies and higher relevance of hybrid attacks.
I dont think that bomb towers are high end. Wizards towers are the high ends tho imo.. Great video nontheless.
There are only 2 bomb towers and they are slightly more expensive than wizard tower(I think), and they have a larger splash radius

The wizard tower unlocks first and you have more of them so I guess wizards are Low end.
I consider both low end.

Xbow's power comes from locking on to an enemy from a long range and being able to track it down for a long time without it able to move away, for instance during queen walk the xbow will give quite some trouble because the queen cant shoot it but the xbow is just constantly locking on and she has to deal with other defenses
i see people trashing on bomb towers
bomb towers are kinda wierd in their use. when they die they drop a mega bomb, but theyre also a targetable building, so its like a mega bomb that lures things in first and does a bit of damage while alive. like hog riders moving through an area, maybe only half of them get hit by a mega bomb, but if theres a bomb tower, the dropped bomb will hit all of them
also at this point mortars only use is to keep sniper units away from the edges of bases, like keeping buildings from being archer sniped, or stopping flame flingers
low tier defenses are more numerous. that means that they can be spread out, so if one compartment is breached, you only lose some dps, and the rest stay shooting. a high tier defense loses everything when it goes down, and can overall do more per defense, so they stay behind the protection of the low tier defenses.
low tier is area denial
high tier is more specific/long range denial, or core damage output
all together the low tier area denial put in one location can make a decent substitute for a high tier defense, but really cant compare in a real base
The only thing mortar is good at is killing the arche queen while she shoots the wall

I think the xbows lost to super dragon just because they are less spread out than the archer towers and super dragon do splash damage

Air sweepers are monstrously underrated. One of the most prevalent attack strategies for th11-th13 is e-drags. The air sweeper basically one shots e drags. They can also murder a queen charge by taking away the healers.

I personally think they should reduce the cost of bomb towers and also add a few more, maybe like 2 more since 4 is a good number. Maybe just buff them in general. Since their primary target is ground troops they should deal more damage to em at higher levels. Maybe they could also release some sort of air bomb or air mine upon death to deal a lil bit of damage to air troops along with the giant bomb for ground troops.

high end defences bring extreme damage to the table with a decent amount of hp whereas low end typed defences use sheer numbers so most of the time you can use low end defences on the outer ring of the base to distract the attackers a bit more so the high end defence units can get more hits. the most dangerous ones in my opinion are the monolith and scattershot mainly because both are improved versions of the air defence and the cannon with the monolith doing crazy damage the stronger the unit and scattershot being air defence + mortar which is great since the air defence sucks due to it only hitting one target at a time and and mortar having a zone where it cant shoot unlike the scattershot
Idk if someone said it, but in tesla's cases, especially with RC, the main problem was that not all teslas were active at the same time. If you droped her on top to activate all five, then, i suppose, RC also would die

The xbows main strength is it's ability to snipe troops while being defended by 2 sets of walls and a lot of low end defenses to manipulate troops that target defense. In short the xbow can easily chip away at troops while being at a safe distance from them.

Something that should be considered, is tah tin the tesla vs builder, the builders are often distracted by healing other buildings, so tesla may have won if the builders were healing another building
Taking other builds(aka your base’s setup)
Then literally every single one of the high end’s would have demolished the low end, besides debatably the bomb tower, but it’s death damage is all of it’s value, and it is great value.

spacing is also 100% important, the super dragons cant reach all archer towers, while they can reach all the xbows, next time id recommend spacing them out to be similar to the low ends. realistically tho, nobody will put their defences like that, so comparing them in that way is kinda....just for content.

Why didn't you use Gear up Archer Tower or Mortar?
The super dragons could beat the x-bows because of their splash damage while the dragons couldn’t take down all of the archer towers cuz they were multiple of them making the dragons attack not affect them all. Maybe try by moving one or 2 x-bows a bit further away and see the results.
