    I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

    30:46 Wow that view brings back memories. I've been there to watch the planes take off and land. I'm not a plane spotter or anything but seeing them so close was amazing. The detail in the recreation of that little car park is perfect. Exactly how I remember it.

    You should check the other end of the runway at some point by the beach. Not the town end and the spotters end, but the other end.
    If you like a beer that is and somewhere to relax by the shore :)

    you probably already know this, but if you press the "up arrow" next to the green highlighted button at the top of Navigraph Charts overlay it will enable drawing the aeroplane's current position as a pink arrow on the map, just as it does in your X-Plane videos.
    also, the fourth button down on the vertical row of icons to the right of the Navigraph window will overlay the current chart as a transparency on the local map of the world. i use this all the time. this is best done while changing "high enroute" to "world map" so that you see cartography, rather than airways.

      Thanks Bernard, I have not been able to get the aircraft position on the toolbar navigraph yet so I will give this a go, thanks!

    Great video, as always! Extremely interesting approach. Aside from that, would you make a video explaining how you manoeuvre that drone so brilliantly? With the keyboard shortcut I'm never going to walk through it as good, is there a trick to it?

    • @MARBLEHEAD07
      @MARBLEHEAD07 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think using a controller(e.g Xbox) is a lot easier and more intuitive than the keyboard

  • @dancingtango
    @dancingtango 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Brilliant, thank you for demonstrating these more challenging approaches. May I ask, if the GPS went down, can you manually tune VORs and ILS and have the AP fly the course rather than tracking it manually?

    • @CameTo
      @CameTo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you can manually tune them. Unlike Boeing, which usually has a physical nav1/2 radio panel, the bus has access to the same stuff, but through the FMC (or mcdu sorry!)
      Just goto the RAD page and enter the 2-4 letter codes for the NDB, VOR or ILS to automatically tune them. If more than one ground VOR/ADF/ILS beacon shares the name, you'll be offered a choice.
      I sometimes end up over riding the default auto tune for one reason or another

    • @dancingtango
      @dancingtango 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CameTo thanks for that. Having tuned a vor in the radnav page, can the auto pilot fly the vor course or does it have to be flown manually?

    I enjoyed this type of video. Perhaps you can do a shorter format and try to explore different difficult approaches more frequently... TNCM, or a video on Brazil's SBRJ.

    • @ParallaxRS
      @ParallaxRS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d love this type of video too, however TNCM isn’t a difficult approach at all, pretty simple really, no terrain, excellent weather, great visibility, fairly long runway, it’s very picturesque though. As far as a video goes it would be a straightforward approach from an initial arrival fix and that’s about it.

    • @vtjake3761
      @vtjake3761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParallaxRS You missed the point of my post.

    • @ParallaxRS
      @ParallaxRS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vtjake3761 I possibly did miss the point, and I agree that a shorter format with interesting approaches would be good, but you did still call TNCM a difficult approach, which I was disputing.
      I was just stating that TNCM may not be such a great 320SimPilot video in terms of interesting/sim-educational content as it would be a very simple approach with no real difficulty in terms of approach planning, workload, or pilot skill.

    • @vtjake3761
      @vtjake3761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParallaxRS ok again I'm not *really* sure what this tangent about the difficulty level of a TNCM approach is all about. I only referenced it because Sim Pilot referenced it in the video (hence the suggestion).

    • @ParallaxRS
      @ParallaxRS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vtjake3761a quote from your comment: "try to explore different difficult approaches more frequently... TNCM, or a video on Brazil's SBRJ." That's where i got the tangent from. The only reason he mentioned it in this video, is because you land over the beach at Skiathos as you do at TNCM. The difficulty/interest in this video was the approach, and not the short final. Sure it's picturesque but it's not the reason he did the video.
