Here in jan 2025. Found Gabor as a suggestion from some other guitarist in a magazine...or maybr it was someones best albums list. Either way im glad i found him. Hes so amazing and he's basically exactly how i want to sound. That mix of hungarian folk and jazz really hits hard. 40 and from Minnesota.
In 1968 I was playing Spellbinder on an 8 track cassette in my VW. My parents turned me on to Gabor and to this day he remains at the top of the jazz guitar spectrum along with Grant Green. Carlos Santana called him "my hero".

The dissertation between Gabor and Ron Carter at the beginning of the studio version is incredible. Not easy timing to play to....and then Jack DeJohnette's drumming.

Szerencsétlen Pege valami elképesztô módon félrepozicionálja magát. Ijesztô az, hogy mennyire nem képes a gitárszóló alatt megtalálni a rezonanciát a harmóniát. Ráadásul néhol bántóan hamis és a tónus sem az igazi. Dandó szerintem sokkal jobban illeszkedett Gáborhoz és az ô különös, mély zenei világához.

Until now I still keep mizrab LP in well conditions..all most 50 years.."thirteen" mysterious track...deep!!!
