Nieuw Amsterdam Sea Day: Pickleball, Dutch Tea & Evening Vibes

It’s Day 3 of our Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam group cruise, and we’re making the most of this sea day! 🛳 Corey started the morning with some friendly competition on the pickleball court, while we spent the afternoon indulging in Holland America’s signature Dutch Afternoon Tea in the Dining Room. From exploring the ship’s activities to enjoying another dinner in the Main Dining Room (with mixed results), the day ended on a high note as we discovered a unique and vibrant bar onboard. It was pretty good, but they were stingy with the food unless you asked for another tree. They seemed to expect 4 people to share that one setting.

I can vouch for the freshness diminishing as the cruise goes on! We were told to be careful with sushi near the end of a long cruise for the same reason!

Love the balcony and the view for sure. It was nice following along with your adventures. I wish that I could play pickleball but a guy with a bad back is not a great idea. The food look ammmmaaaazing as usual !! Thanks for sharing !!!

It’s always a fun day when we get to play pickleball! We liked the balcony view, but the aft is a bit more rough than other places onboard.
