  • Simple, the 15V works fine. Tested on CF-20, CF-19, CF-H1, CF-U1 and CF-M1 so far. I use a 65 watt charger mostly.
    Here's the board I used: www.amazon.com...
And the cable end I cut off, but here's a similar cable end: www.amazon.com...
    It's 5.5x2.5mm for Toughbooks

Very cool! That might be exactly what I'm looking for. What parts were used?

Just a small circuit board from amazon that requests 15V from USB PD, I'll put a link in the description

@@Morninglowe do you have a part number I can search for? Is 15 Volt enough for the 15,6 Volt Toughbook?

@@accountname1651 Yes. the 0.6v means nothing, however! High draw toughbooks like 30 series may not charge this way. I only use it for my FZ series units and my CF-19. I don't have a part number but searching for 15v USB C PD board should get you the part. Sometimes you can even find premade cables with a 5.5x2.5mm barrel on the end like www.amazon.com/2-Pack-JacobsParts-Type-C-Trigger-Connector/dp/B08NTTK8S9

@@Morninglowe Thanks, I didn't even know something like that existed! Here I was about to order a buck converter and a barrel jack pigtail and at one point I was trying to find a dock connector I could salvage and that was impossible since the CF-20 uses a 25-pin unlike every other one I can find. Using USB-C PD is a quick and easy solution! Now to find a replacement battery that isn't $200 (more than I paid for the whole thing) so it lasts more than 2 hours.

Put your camera on a tripod, then re-record this video.
