  • Buying a reliable power supply unit (PSU) is crucial for the stability and longevity of your computer system. To avoid falling for false advertising or subpar products, consider the following factors when purchasing a power supply in Pakistan:
    Wattage and Efficiency:
Determine the power requirements of your system. A PSU with a wattage slightly above your needs provides some headroom for upgrades.
Look for an 80 PLUS certification for efficiency. Higher certifications (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium) indicate better efficiency.
    Brand Reputation:
Stick to well-known and reputable PSU brands. Research customer reviews and feedback to gauge the reliability and performance of a particular brand or model.
Avoid brands that are not well-established or lack a positive reputation.
    Modularity:
Modular PSUs allow you to connect only the cables you need, improving airflow and cable management within your case.
Semi-modular or fully modular PSUs are often preferred for cleaner and more organized builds.
    Protections and Safety Features:
Ensure the PSU has essential protection features like over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), over-current protection (OCP), and short-circuit protection (SCP).
Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) is also a good feature for stable power delivery.
    Reviews and Recommendations:
Read reviews from reliable sources and user forums to gather information on the real-world performance of a specific PSU model.
Seek recommendations from experienced users or tech communities in Pakistan.
    Warranty and Support:
Check the warranty period offered by the manufacturer. A longer warranty period often indicates the manufacturer's confidence in their product's reliability.
Verify the availability of customer support in Pakistan for the chosen brand.
    Price vs. Features:
Be cautious of PSUs that seem too good to be true at a very low price. Quality components and design come at a cost, so an excessively cheap PSU may compromise on these aspects.
    Read Specifications Carefully:
Check the specifications of the PSU and ensure they meet your system's requirements.
Be wary of exaggerated claims in TH-cam video descriptions and verify information from multiple sources.
    Compatibility:
Ensure the PSU is compatible with your system components, especially if you have high-end GPUs or other power-hungry hardware.
    Certifications and Standards:
Look for PSUs that comply with safety and performance standards such as CE, FCC, and RoHS.
By carefully considering these factors, you can make an informed decision when purchasing a power supply unit in Pakistan and avoid falling victim to false advertising or low-quality products.

What if we use a stabalizer with a circuit breaker would that be a safe way to go with? As I’m so concerned as I’ve installed a thunder 80plus bronze power supply in a 250k built with sapphire rx6700xt? Your response in this regards will be truly appreciated

instead of spending on a stabilizer and still not having mental peace, just spend on a good psu. Ask this from yourself, is saving 10k and risking 250k is a wise decision or not?

@@techmatched Hello sir, I had I7 3rd with b75 and my board was kind of faulty I was using 1660s with Pylon 650w and Unfortunately my 1660s died when my board started to give issues my ram did as well, and next day I bought gt 610 from market just to get display cuz my board was giving display that card died as well in 15-20 mins of usage when got both card checked main chips were dead and they said motherboard ne kia hai, now I have upgraded to newer PC Ryzen 5 4600g and 16gb ram and a520m completely new and still have xpg pylon 650w I'm just worried that should I install an GPU or not my psu is still in Warranty tho.

@@Soull. can't be said for sure, it could be that you got a faulty psu unit. I'd recommend you to ask the seller you bought it from to claim
      it

      @Soull. 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@techmatched I did req for claim but they said psu isn't giving any issues or shutingdown randomly then it's fine And they tested it as well with voltage and load checker everything was fine at the end they said your 3rd gen board was the culprit and that board killed both GPU agar psu me fault hota Apki toh apka Ryzen bhi dead Hojata which didn't.
