@@captain_efurd4502the pain is not from heroin withdrawals , it's from not having pain relief for a severely painful stomach disease. This is a common misconception when it comes to drug use - that the person isnt self medicating, and that they are just "taking drugs for the fun of it" and then we label their symptoms as the drug instead of the actual root cause of the usage of the drugs. He was self medicating severe physical pain as well as severe mental illness, just trying to find relief and live comfortably. The police took away medicine he found had worked for him safely shortly before he ended his suffering during a mental health episode. Stigma surrounding drug use is such a plague.

Courtney Love and Dave Grohl got rid of him so that Dave could have the Foo Fighters and Courtney could have all of Kurt's money. That's my own theory anyway! I think Dave is behind Kurt becoming unalive but Courtney Love was the mastermind behind actually making it happen and getting the media to cover it up as a "self-unaliving".

Back then Krist was always goofing around and making a fool out of himself (in a good way of course). Oh, and he would never shut the hell up haha, which is why we love him. You look at him now though and he's always extremely quiet and just looks tired and down the whole time. Not to mention he hasn't aged very well either. I think Kurt's death really hurt Krist a lot more than a lot of us even think it did. That must have hit him really really hard.

IICR, Kurt Cobain planned on retiring in late 1994/early 1995 after a last tour and album. He also wanted to live quietly and raise his daughter, possibly occassionaly releasing solo albums for fun on his own time. That's what I remember from dial-up internet in the mid/late 90s when I was researching into his death.

From the first line "teenage angst has paid of well, now I'm old and bored", to the chorus (which is very nostalgic and all against the usual formula that they used mostly in the nevermind era). Also considering the fact that this is their opening song for In utero.

This song literally saved my life. Growing poor in Mexico, we didn't have much, but my dad kept a temperamental Ford Mustang that was way past its prime. On the night I got a scorpion sting on my neck, was the one night the car decided to work. I was losing consciousness and in full-blown panic attack, when my mom started playing this song. To keep me calm, my mom started singing this song because she know I would sing along, so I did. I managed to keep along until I fainted, just in time as we arrived at the hospital. That was 25 years ago. I still thank this song for saving my life.

it's sad to see kurt perform so static, all energy he had back in the late 80s early 90s was absolutely gone, also is sad that Pat Smear had joined Nirvana around 93 i wish he could have been more time with the band, and is so damn frustrating that mental diseases are now a thing, almost 30 years after Kurt passed away, he was treated many times for his "addictions" but nobody never tried to reach him to get to the bottom of the matter, what was on his head, because addictions or substance abuse are a consequence, mostly people evade themselves from traumas, bad time in life, job stress and so on, maybe if Kurt was treated for whatever was hurting him inside, drugs won't have been a thing and Nirvana would still be alive today with Kurt Cobain having a normal life

Trouble is, if a person doesn't speak, then no one can help.. On the flip side, people speak and others don't help. Drugs are the worst thing ever if you are not mentally stable, I can speak from experience. Make you feel great when you are on them, when you're back sober you feel worse than you did before. Vicious circle.

Kurt along with the entire band from Nirvana changed the music industry from what it was back in the late 80's,to what we liked and supported in the early 1990's. We quickly went from,"JUMP" from David Lee Roth and Van Halen to,"Smells like Teen Spirit" Nirvana over night. It quickly changed the music sceen from long hair garage rock bands to Seattle new wave Grunge rock bands. It was a generational change that flipped the music industry completely around and if your band was from Seattle and your music was Grunge/Alternative rock you could make a huge name for yourself. All the band's we seen come from Seattle in the late 80's/ early 90's like Nirvana,Pearl Jam,Soundgarden,Alice in Chains all changed the music industry back then. But it was Nirvana first who received all the recognition and changed music as we knew it back then. It was amazing to see that's for sure. I love all those bands and listen to them each and every day.

I think it means that Kurt’s dad wasn’t around and/or emotionally available enough growing up as he’d imagine the position of a perfect “father” typically produces. That’s what makes the most sense to me considering the following lyrics are, “i just want you to know that i don’t hate you anymore” as if he’s forgiving his dad for not being perfect. But then again Kurt was a story teller who liked to incorporate other people’s stories/fictional stories into his lyrics. Maybe he just thought those lyrics were cool sounding & relatable for others

Nirvana, Cobain, were the voices of their generation. Not only just Cobain himself, who was the voice, but the sound itself epitomized the grunge movement of the late 80's-early 90's. As soon as a Nirvana song starts, just the opening guitar, you get a nostalgic feeling (if you're from that era). The parties in the 90's that I used to go to all had music playing loudly throughout the house, and Nirvana was played at mostly all of those parties. They were perfect for teenage parties, getting high, drinking, chillin out, hooking up. I fucking love them forever. Along with bands like Guns N' Roses and Metallica, they all contributed to my party days and just having a good time, not giving a fuck.

Teenage life back then was very different. I no doubt am glad that I am not part of this teenage generation. We were a cynical lot but it was a ton of fun but in some ways by '97-'98-'99 the fun took a turn. But the early to mid part of the decade was fantastic time to be a music fan. Where I grew up, Nirvana of course was huge but I'd probably say the main stays that were always on everywhere were Janes Addiction and Hendrix, even though he had been dead for 20+ by that time. Always a mainstay on the coastline though.

This performance was recorded on 23 February 1994, during Nirvana's tour in Italy, and was broadcast on 27 February in RAI's Channel 3, on the 4th episode of "Tunnel" (a satire and counter-culture show aimed at young people). On that same day, Nirvana also recorded a live performance of "Dumb", which was only broadcast posthumously on 1st May 1994 (during the live covering of "Primo Maggio" festival on RAI's Channel 1). That accounts as Kurt's last TV appearance to be released .
