Should You Move to Forsyth MO?

- Have you ever heard of Forsyth Missouri? I know you may have visited Branson MO but Forsyth is actually one of the many small towns in Taney County where over 2500 people live. It's also the county seat of Taney County. It has a rich history and wonderful lakes for fishing such as Bull Shoals Lake and Taneycomo Lake. Some places I'll check out in Forsyth in this video are-basically the drive to it from 65! Then I'll show you the scenic overlook and the business area of Forsyth. Next we'll check out Forsyth Schools, and continue through the town mentioning some popular restaurants along the way. Lots of info packed in this video! Finally I'll show you old downtown and the Courthouse, then a drive by Empire Park, which leads us to the end at Shadow Rock Park. See some beautiful scenery and fishing spots along the way! I don't really get too real estate-ee in this video, just a general tour. This will save you lots of time, since doing this on your own can easily turn into "a three hour tour"! My parents lived in a great A frame house in Forsyth. I am sure it is still there. Please show that next time along with the library. There were many Yankees who retired to Forsyth and did many things to make the community nice. My children and I came down often from Illinois and loved to swim in the creeks.
The one coming into town? if so very pretty house.
Have you seen the library. My parents helped get the funds to build it. When they moved to Forsyth there was NO library.

It looks like a very nice town. I guess most of the houses on the river bluffs, or hills wouldn't have basements though?
Hi David, usually that's the case on a flat lot, but we do have a lot of basement homes that are high enough on a hill that will still allow for great views. I can send you a list if that helps?
What is the price range for a single family house? I also heard that because of the rocky terrain a lot of houses don’t have basements.
Hi there! actually, many of our homes have basements because of the hillsides, it's perfectly easy to build one. There's usually enough top soil before hitting bedrock, sometimes excavation can include busting through some rock though! Average Price to buy a 3 BD ranch is around 300k

We came out to tour the area and alot of locals said to avoid Forsyth. Alot of crime and drugs you hear anything about that?
I've lived here 2+ years and while, yes, there's pretty much crime and drugs everywhere anymore, we haven't had any trouble. Also, I think you can avoid a lot of that element just by being careful who you associate with.
Is there a Catholic Church in Forsyth?
I just googled it and yes it looks like there is one at 951 Swan Valley Rd
