Fantastic. I have restored a 1985 Dr250s and have a rolling chassis that I want to do the same engine swap. Nicely done on your conversion.
How difficult was changing the wiring system, did you just use all GN parts for ignition etc?

Yep i used a gn coil and DCCDI box,
Oh neat, I have the same model, and a GN engine and loom sitting on the shelf for one day. Maybe just a 12v conversion as I like having a kick-start. More of a, ill keep this incase the Dr cdi ever dies and it's not possible to replace it. Funny my tank has the same dent

Wow very cool. Sir can you tell me the difference between the engine om the 1980’s road legal non motocross dr250s and the gn250 engine? And do they both have 22 hp or was the old dr250s engine slower with only 17 hp? Thank you in advance!
Hello, very good vid, Does the GN have different gearing? Do you lose some low down but gain top speed?
That so cool I have a atv that comes with that engine but Chinese that I’m trying to turn on was wondering if you had a video of doing the wiring harness

What atv has the same engine in it? I'm trying to find a cdi and anything labeled for one of these bikes seems to be expensive I've been trying to find a cheap Chinese version without a lot of luck

Great channel. SUBBED. I have a 1982 DR250 and in dire need of a rear axel. Could you point me in a direction to find one? Any help would be appreciated

Did your alloy swing arm version DR250 not come with a different carburetor? I thought they came with a 28mm round slide...
yes it did but am running the GN carb for now.
Hello , can you help me? I have a 1985 Suzuki SP 250 , but when the engine turns on and it stays on for a while the temperature rises and the engine makes a noise the whole time , do you think that the best option is to calibrate the valves? Thanks for answer and your time!
