- Team Ninja's Nioh 2 is a tough game, which is saying something in a post-Sekiro world. Not only are there new enemies and types waiting to tear you apart but several new gameplay systems and oppressive mechanics to wear you down. Let's over some beginner tips and tricks that should help even the odds.
Important note: We got the bit about Righteous Jasper wrong. Righteous Jasper can be useful netting more rewards from multiplayer. It essentially spawns a Benevolent Grave at your location to be accessed by other players. While you can't use it to, say, spawn another player's character, the more times it's used by others, the more rewards you'll get in return. Try placing it near tough bosses or situations to reap maximum rewards. Our apologies for the same.

Additional: you can only have 3 benevolent graves placed at the same time. Place a 4th and you'll get asked which of the previous 3 you want to have replaced.
if you use an item called clay bell of reckoning a creature called a scampuss will show up and give you a temporary anima regen buff and if you go ro the hidden tea house when its unlocked you will be able to use the glory you get form defeating revenants to get some rare items ranging from smithing materials dropped by yokai bosses to summoner's candles an item that calls your guardian spirit back to you when used allowing you to reclaim any amrita and soul cores you lost the last time you died you should always do this if you are on a very tough mission so that when you respawn at a shrine you will be able to level up and purify your soul cores you can also use use an item called a travel amulet to fast travel to the shrine that you most recently used during the mission

with what you're saying, the videos being displayed, and how you mispronounce KI - this all honestly gives me the impression that you didn't really bother playing the game enough to make this video. it's all really half assed.
Just a tip: if you’re discussing mechanics or specifics, it’s helpful to display gameplay with said mechanics

I cringed every time I heard him mispronounce words but I understand sometimes people just don’t know, after all, “I am pretty dumb and only know what I know... but I do know this.” type of thing... but I never cringed so hard than when one of my martial arts instructors was VERY adamant that the proper way to pronounce the ne in neko was like knee... or for those that understand... he was pronouncing neko as niko...
My understanding from the item description is that Righteous Jasper just creates a benevolent grave for other players to use. It doesn't create one for you to use yourself.
You're right. Righteous Jasper is used to create a benevolent grave in a mission you have already completed. It's a way to help others, not to help yourself
Kelpheron it does help u by paying you with cups and glory based on how many ppl used ur grave tho, just a small amount of glory n cups tho
It's even in the description of the item.. "You may not use a Benevolent Grave yourself,"

Don't fuse them all, just fuse until they're the highest rank.
Or have good effects. I snacked a low level soul core with a good effect and fused into high level one
When you platinum Sekiro but can't even beat the second boss in nioh 2. Fuck this game is hard

@@GiacoC ehh you'll get all three types throughout your game anyway, just be patient. Or just use the Phantom type on the start and then you can try all three types when you finished the first region's Viper Sanctum mission.

Bad 😆 Sekiro is all about deflecting and unfortunately there’s no such mechanic in Nioh, since it’s rpg and stuff. God, I miss Sekiro.
The jasper doesn't make an instant grave you can summon, it's for you to leave a grave for others to summon your AI to help them. You can place one per lvl and leave them in places to help others. You will get rewards for people using them.

Your last one about righteous jasper is that you can plant a benevolent grave of yourself for other players to use. You can't use it yourself. And you gain items an and glory for every player that uses it. So it might be worth going back to the older missions when you're a higher level, and planting them there.

The dark areas he was showing are literally just levels that happen to be dark. That’s not what dark zones look like.
Also righteous jasper is so you can leave a benevolent grave for other players, not yourself. Ochoko cups aren’t used in tandem.
Also, don’t just fuse all your soul cores together automatically! Some of them have inherited traits that can be fused into other cores. Also a given core can only upgrade its stats to level 9. After that it’s wasted fusions.

The game does tell you all this and not only that some of this is just bad advice. "Fuse all duplicate cores" -- sometimes its better to break cores down for resources and Shiftling experience. Cannot recommend anyone actually take this video as a source of quality information.

The tips are decent. I'm sure someone be has said this but "Kai" in this context is pronounced "Key". It refers to the stamina and/or bodily energy of someone in Japanese and Chinese culture.

The game is easy if you play it righ..i died 800 times before i knew what to do...all you have to do is level up onyo magic..equip everything that level up magic...use fire lighing water..use the slow magic...use ki speed recovery...
Also dont forget to use the canon and the gun...
And last thing the best yokai is the yoyo wheel...u get that when u defeat the wheel boss.it destroy bosses when they go dark realm

Brute Counter is by far the best for new players not feral.
The timing is MUCH more forgiving for burst counters. Feral is more for people who already know the timings involved in attacks especially in boss fights.
Also promoting doing revenent runs in co-op does not point out most people in the community hate that so only recommended when gaming with a friend as its very annoying when someone summons you in and HAS to summon every revenant in a level extending your servitude out much longer then necessary. Pro tip as people see this and just kill themselves wasting your cups.

I couldn't help but face palm when he was talking about sneak attacks while showing footage of a grapple attack on an aberrant soldier that was out of ki, which... is not a sneak attack at all. Not even slightly.

This game is surprisingly very good. I thought Nioh 1 was kind of mediocre, but Nioh 2 really stepped up big time. This game could be game of the year 2020.
Elden Ring is supposed to come out this year.
I have higher hopes for that than I have for Nioh 2.

It's helpful to make videos like this but some of the stuff mentioned here is explained in the game. Especially stuff like Dark Zones
I am guessing that you haven't reach the third region's first mission and also didn't even read the caption since he clearly typed realm and not zone, because that's a Dark Realm, a Dark Zone is a different thing you'll encounter in "A Way Out" mission.

That's not the first mission sadly, Its kinda like a tutorial. The Gozuki is pretty easy to kill-Use this Method
1.Wait for him to attack
2.When hes low stamina attack till hes tired
3.Most his attacks are delayed so keep your hand on dodge
Unfortunately as much as I wanted to play this game, I I did enjoy what I played, I think the combat is great, and I love the setting, I just suck at it. Really wish I didn't cause I was so hyped for it. Harder than any of the souls games, maybe that's why I suck at nioh, got the wrong mentality for the game. It's a great game tho, just to hard for my dumb fingers 🤪
It's honestly worth it to summon help, if nothing else to get your confidence up in the game. I loved Nioh but it's been awhile since I played and I was super rusty haha...I summoned help for the first level and it was a game changer, if nothing else to study the enemies, get my ki pulse time down, try out different weapons, etc. The first level is perfect for that kind of experimentation!! Didn't take long before I restarted and got back into the flow. Don't give up!! You're learning more and more every time you play, even if it doesn't feel like it right away ;)

The Forgotten Gamer I found the first couple of missions harder than anything else in the entire game, once you’ve got past that beginning hump you get a feel for it and your builds start to take shape
The game doesn’t tell about the amount of BS projectiles it throws at you constantly. The projectiles have totally ruined this game for me.
It's the non stagger-able enemies for me. I'm a loyal strength main in like souls game, games. We like big weapons, huge damage, and making them go on one knee.
Human enemies have hyper armor, yokai have a ki bar that you want to aim in depleting to get a critical blow. But it takes a damn long time to get it there. True! Combo's, mastering a weapon can solve this, however! It takes a damn long time to get to that point. Some are locked behind dojo missions.
Dropped this game in a week. The only souls-like game I have never beaten.

Nioh 2 has a much higher skill ceiling than nioh did for new players. Just focus on ki pulsing as much as possible while u fight(stance change ki pulse is by far the most efficient)

@@gaetan3914 don't be ashamed to shift it really helps you and the burst counter is easy unless you have a brute yokai shift the feral is the best for the burst counter in my opinion

don't worry if you didnt pick phantom at the start, you'll get the phantom spirit (Rokugezo) when you finished the second region's first mission, just keep playing.

well we gotta admit there are actually exist those type of players who just won't explore that much and purely enjoy the cinematics/animation of said game.
