I think Primarina is OP because it can resist dragons types, like Tess’s pokemon, and when double battling with Jake and Tess, it can heal there pokemon with Sparkling Aria when they are burned, even though we don’t care about them… Anyway, that’s just my opinion on why I think Primarina is OP
Personally, I think Torterra is the best Grass Type starter, gets a ground type by TM or move totur, you need an alt to give you a Turtwig with one if u want one for gym 1, but in general its good for 3rd gym, 5th, part of 7th and 8th, helps with some of Jake, and helps with the 1st EF, and takes on FOUR of Brad's Pokemon, so if u want a grass starter, Turtwig might be a good one. For the fire starter, although Talonflame is the best one, assuming you don't pick a fire starter, if you do, Charizard is the one to choose, he forgot that he takes on 3 EF members, but only have good offensive but bad defensive in the champion battle. I won't explain Swampert for obvious reasons
Any game i always choose mudkip because mudkip is my favorite pokemon so sometimes i always have like a level 100 mudkip and then a level 100 swamperrt in games lol
Mudkip is the best by far if you evolve him past level 16 he will be good against the first gym and also second gym He is defensively good in the third gym He learns rock moves for the flying gym He is good for ground gym Weak to grass gym He learns hammer arm so seventh gym also good And last gym he fairs also pretty good So ye mudkip is by far the best
Hone Claws...? Sorry, but Hone Claws is honestly terrible. You're much better off just running four attacking moves with Meowscarada. Flower Trick, Night Slash, Knock Off, U-Turn, Triple Axel, and Play Rough are all fantastic options. You can even run Acrobatics if you don't plan on using a held item.
Lwk my sceptile was just what i needed for like 90% of the game, he was doing fine + the fact that he gets the dragon type when he mega evolves saved me so many times.
For Mudkip, immediately get a all of the other types will help him win. Mostly if u can get an electric, then yes, get it so it's easy to beat the 3rd gym. Swampert is backup mostly and your main 1 party is either any electric type or Jolten from the eeveelution line.
From Looking on the wiki i personally think the best starter is Primarina Good against the Fire gym Can deal with the water gym quite well because she resists most of the moves used Gets ice beam for the flying gym Hard counters ground gym especially the garchomp And hard counters the dark gym Does decent against Team eclipse and jake And smashes tess into the floor
#3: Froakie/Greninja While very overrated, that isn't to say it's bad by any means, and I do feel it is deserving of being on this list. One of the only bad significant matchups in my opinion is the first gym, but you can easily catch something like a Nincada on the route right outside to deal with this since Nincada is part ground before it evolves. 1:04 Grass Knot for water-types, Ice Beam for dragon-types. Problem solved. If you really want, you can give Greninja Protean so that it loses it's water typing after using a non-water move to help with the electric matchup as well. #2: Charmander/Charizard Again, another very overrated pick, except this time it doesn't actually have the performance to back it up in my opinion. Outside of the two mega-evolutions it gets, I really don't see why it's on this list. It's highest base stat is 109, which is mediocre at best, it has a 4x weakness to rock, which also means it loses half of it's health to Stealth Rock, and it's level up learnset is absolutely terrible, especially seeing as the only special fire-type move it gets is Ember until level 32, where it gets Flame Burst, another mediocre move for that point in the game. Charizard isn't going to make the game impossibly difficult by any means, but it definitely isn't one of the best either. #1: Mudkip/Swampert This really shouldn't come as a surprise to many people. Having only one weakness to grass is phenomenal, especially considering that you can catch multiple grass-resists on the first route of the game, some of them even holding up to the very end. Unfortunately, you'll likely be stuck with Water Gun for a while, but once you either beat the 3rd gym or get to level 39, you can get access to a much better water-type move (Scald is still better than Muddy Water.) It's bulky enough to take hits, has the typing to back it up, while also being able to dish out decent special attacks and strong physical attacks. And that's without even mentioning the mega-evolution, which while in the rain will basically win against anything. And though Swampert's non-mega stats might not be the best, they're certainly better than Charizard's. In my opinion, a starter like Chimchar, Popplio, Scorbunny, Fuecoco, or even Turtwig, are much better choices than Charmander for a playthrough of Pokemon Brick Bronze. But the most important thing is to have fun, because no matter which starter you choose, they will all be able to carry their own weight throughout the game... That is, unless you chose Chikorita.
@@user112e Pyro Ball is pretty much a must-have, but for the rest you can choose between things like Iron Head, Low Kick or High Jump Kick, U-Turn, Gunk Shot, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Will-O-Wisp, Taunt, Court Change, and even Acrobatics if you aren't using a held item.
Primarina is one of the best in my opinion because I was severely under leveled for the fifth gym and beat the mega evolved garchomp with my level 49 Primarina just because it had moon blast, and it was beat in one move
mudkip can counter most gyms in this game plus can be good for the e4 being good against half of it and some pokémon of the champion overall swampert is juast a really versatile mon and has a solid level up moveset.
I thing that primarina is op cus it strong against the 2nd,3rd,5th,7th and the eighth and when it gets the item mystic water it solos everything with watergun and sparkling arila and learns moon blast
