Have to say again, great video guys, as you say it shows how much is involved in doing this job, just a thought for you, have you ever considered getting an induction heater gun to remove rusted on nuts/bolts? I have a Sykes Pickavant Venom induction heater gun and it is fantastic for removing stubborn bolts etc, never come across anything it can't do regarding rusty parts... Anyway, keep the video's coming.
FRANSPEED we have one; a Snapon one. However most of the bolts are removed with a bit of force and replaced. We’ve tried numerous solutions to the rear camber bolts; nothing seems to work that well other than new washers and bolts 😞
Gary Nightingale depends; most of the time we have no choice but to renew a lot of the bolts as they are seized. Others we get plated- unless the client chooses to spend the extra. So many options; which is why we always bespoke quote 🙌
Hi,I am taking my rear subframe off to give it a overhaul in a few weeks, have you had this one shot/bead blasted yet and what's it like renewing the bushes? I am using powerflex bushes
Ryland Wiltshire unfortunately, sometimes, it’s unavoidable. In this case the whole lot is being powder coated and the bolts replaced. Thanks for the comments and feedback 🙌🙌🙌
@@BDPerformanceWrexham yeah i totally get it mate I have to remove stubborn bolts with my grinder all the time on old signage we remove and replace at work makes the job much easier.
Ryland Wiltshire totally agree; it applies to lots of stubborn, corroded, bolts and fixings. Thanks for watching the video and keeping up to date, it makes all the effort worthwhile 💙
Doing all the jobs I wish I could afford to get done to mine ( one mod at time) but I can’t find it on your site how much would some like that set me back? Standard ST225 pfl
Phillip Cook we’ve not listed as there are so so many options for this... Why not give the office a call on 01978 758598 or send our Socials a DM to start off the process of formulating a tailored quotation? Look forward to hearing from you sir 🙌
Good video very interesting for me as want my rs done soon it's down with James BDP south wales at the moment for cambelt and and water pump also having it mapped and hes done all the other bolt on work for me good set of boys down there :) #team BD
MkII RS great to hear that you are getting excellent service with James. We tend to offer this service from North Wales mainly - having the experience of doing so many. It’s a really labour intensive job and isn’t something many other Tuners offer... We only know of a handful that do this type of work. Hope TeamBD continue to impress and again; thank you for the positive feedback 💙

@@BDPerformanceWrexham cheers for the reply,do you always renew the lower arms? If so what make do you use? Cheers Gary
Is there a charcoal canister on the subframe that needs to be removed?
Gary Nightingale yes indeed
@@BDPerformanceWrexham I take it you don't need to drain the tank as it's only for venting the tank?
How long and how much would it be to do the underbody repair and restoration of a mk3 rs
Send the FB a pm for prices but usually takes 40-60 hours of labour typically
