Sikorsky R-4 helicopter was one of America’s only helicopters to see active service in World War II, acting predominantly as a rescue and transportation asset in the China-Burma-India Theater.
That's Sikorsky R-4 On 22-23 April 1944 Army Lt. Carter Harman of the 1st Air Commando Group conducted the first combat rescue by helicopter using in the China-Burma-India theater
This is some serious nostalgia. I played this up and down over and over again as a kid, both Singleplayer campaign and the multiplayer with my friend. Great memories. The music from the main menu alone...chef's kiss! 🤩
me neither i thought the korean war had the first choppa, but actually its a chopper that was invented in 1942 and first combat roles in 1944 so its not actually unrealistic
Yep, and I see one helicopter in a film "Where Eagles Dare" landed in a castle in Bavaria but I note that it is too modern for a war film American-made I guess so.
The helicopter was invented in 1939 and there were some in the army. However, I don’t know where he got it from seeing as how they’re in a mission in the Burmese jungle.
They existed during the war they were most active during the Burma Campaign in the Pacific theatre, look it up, Sikorsky came up with it, it’s called the R-4
@@MattPapp Idk man, today it feels like most story-based games hold your hands too much. This game could leave you running into walls for a while before you even realise where you need to go.
Man, I remember that mission that one gave me more trouble than I can remember, but I actually did this one stunt and then that I still can’t believe I pulled off and I don’t think I can pull it off those two random NPC characters that you in the beginning I kept them alive through that whole mission. Sadly, I ran into a glitch in that mission in the pole when you fall through a floor and they can’t help you anymore. Look up still alive to get them down to help me
Can we get a Remake ? Or set the new game during the Pacific War. All war games are set in WWII but they just cover Europe part of History. Rising sun is Unique because it shows you a glimpse of WWII on the other side of the planet!
Actually no, The Trench Gun is different than the Ithaca. While they are both pump action, they do look different. Ithaca fires faster for a Pump Action while the Trench is slightly slower, but the Ithaca, I believe, has a higher round count in the... chamber? I'm not very familiar with Shotguns in that regard... More so with SMGs, Semi Auto Rifles, Bolt Action Rifles, and Full Auto Rifles.
Notice at 1:46 the shotgun ammo is described as the Model 12 Trench Gun, so it's highly likely that the shotgun is actually either the Winchester Model 1897 or the Winchester Model 1912, both models colloquially known as Trench Guns. Also note that while Ithaca did produce some shotguns during World War II, their main focus was producing M1911 pistols and M3 Grease Guns.
After all these years, does anyone know wtf the "entrenching tool" and lotus blossum are for? Could never get a gold star on this no matter what I tried.

I love how this WWII game just gives up on itself half-way through the campaign and becomes an Indiana Jones adventure instead.
And it’s still an amazing game. Better than most today even
Thats basically what all of the original Medal of Honor games were really. WW2 Indiana Jones games basically.
I mean, how many different ways can you tell the story of WWII?
It even has a vaguely John Williams sounding soundtrack
War is usually about resources like this, especially this war.
The music when you first reach the temple is so fitting... awe inspiring back in the day
SMBXdude it’s believed the SOE and OSS really did go after Japanese gold reserves in Asia, so I guess that’s where it comes from

Me in the game cube omg me and brother would play this 24/7 back in 2013 is when i got this game so many good memories or 2012 i think but so good
Yes 👍 👍 you NessieBlyat 📺
My dad and I would play this. Good times
Bet they were suprised as hell seeing Helicopter for the first time
Sikorsky R-4 helicopter was one of America’s only helicopters to see active service in World War II, acting predominantly as a rescue and transportation asset in the China-Burma-India Theater.
And now helicopters in the military are act as gunships.
Sorry for the late comment but, since when there helicopters in WW2?
My favorite game when I was just a little kid:Medal of Honor Rising Sun
Joseph Johnson me to on the game cube
24:50|25:02 The part where the Helicopter appears is one of my favorites in this game
That was a first helicopter.

5:25 I used to absolutely DESPISE that part of the mission when i was a kid... and still do tbh. Still, a nice game ☺
You’re not alone dude. I got stuck here for the longest time.
I loved this game as a kid, but watching it now it’s clear just how utterly non-sense this game’s story is 😂 still a classic though
21:25 yes you forgot the flower earlier in the temple. That door contains the Entrenching Tool which to dig and open stuff like lockers.
Major Bromley sounds more Australian than Cockney British...
i didn't know that helicopter was available in world war 2
me neither i thought the korean war had the first choppa, but actually its a chopper that was invented in 1942 and first combat roles in 1944 so its not actually unrealistic

Juan Yosef they were pretty rare and weren’t used as much. They were actually in the making before weapons were put on Helicopters

I dedicate this level to the late Captain Tom Moore after all he served in Burma during the war.
I remember this game where it's getting more hard as you progress through the game.
Aren't video games work like that in general?

There's Medal of Honor pacific assault
This is my favorite game I played it when I was 4 or 5 or maybe 6 I am 16 now
24:50 WW2 Helicopter
Helicopter was invented in 1939 by Sikorsky, and they were already used in 1943-5 period for rescue of wounded soldiers in Burma.
Do you remember cheat „butterfly” which unlocks all missions? 😃
If we got a temple like this in enlisted would be awesome
Are you going to make a video on the multiplayer.
not sure if i can lol.
AFGuidesHD the servers have been offline since Jan 2007. I have a 1 to 1 remake of the multiplayer as a pc mod I made.
Great series upload more of this...
1:13 what the hell is wrong with his right hand????
This music is sounded like the Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault's music.
Pacific assault reused a lot of rising suns music.
The " trench gun " I guess is M37 Ithaca

It's for activating a secret room I think, trench tool helps find a hidden room that unlocks a character skin in multiplayer
Destroy all the Sakè supplies

Salah is a looser Adelaide United for a league premiers. Wouldn't mind Foden in my United side. I'm certain we will go well enough.
