She saved the disappointment by telling him to go away as she knew he wasn’t gonna stick around. And he didn’t even try harder to convince her.
Later on, when I was 18 (24 currently) he managed to find me on social media. Refused to meet him at first but then I thought I’d give him a chance. Regretted it the moment he turned out drunk and could barely speak.
There’s no hate, although I always knew he was out there somewhere and I sometimes wished he was around, I considered him dead to me from that moment on. It’s easier to deal with it I guess.
