    Bucks Re- tanking: "you would have to have your head in the sand to say it hasn't happened in the past...". Nathan, would you be referring to the last 9 minutes of the round 19 2005 game Collingwood vs North which facilitated Collingwood taking Pendlebury as a priority pick in the 2005 draft?

      As a Collingwood fan, we definitely tanked for a priority pick that season and doing so facilitated massively successful successful periods of 07 to 13, 18 to 20 and 22 to 24.

      @@user-kw1gp3dq4o oh yeah for sure, not just that game though, if i recall correctly we hit the priority pick limit of 5 wins mid season and then didn't win a single game after that. It was a blatantly orchestrated quick trip down the ladder to stock up on talent and then a quick rebound followed.
      I mean, getting Pendles was a stroke of luck, no one could have predicted his career being this ridiculously good, but yeah, definitely tanked to get that second top tier pick.

      nope it metres not steps for both running with the ball and kicking distance.
      this is part of rule 17.12
      "whilst in possession of the football, does not bounce or touch the football
      on the ground at least once every 15 metres, irrespective of whether such
      Player is running in a straight line or otherwise"

    Winning in round 24 last year doesn't matter. Roos were in the conversation to trade for the number 1 pick, they chose to play hard ball and not give the eagles what they wanted. That was their mistake.

    I think now what we need is three in the D when the ball is in the opposite half there should be three players from each team in the 50 meter D at the other end to stop flooding. I think this would open up the game much more

      Maybe. But this current system allows coaches and players to make mistakes that effect the game. Like Charlie Curnow playing a kick behind the ball in defence when they were looking to score. Kept the ball in their half, but he's their best forward out of the forward line.
