- If marriage is meant to reflect God’s love and sacrificial covenant, why does it seem less appealing in today’s world? Living in a culture focused on individual fulfillment, the lifelong commitment of marriage can feel restrictive, as people increasingly prioritize personal freedom and happiness.
Many view marriage as a legal agreement that can be dissolved if it no longer meets individual needs and pursuits, rather than a sacred bond of commitment and daily surrendering. Yet, marriage was intended to embody God’s love-marked by patience, forgiveness, and faithfulness-and we’ll explore how to reclaim this purpose in a society that sometimes undervalues it.
Bible Passage: “And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12 (CSB)
