I listened to this on WNEW-FM 102.7 when it happened. I remember John did a commercial for a rock club called the "the Joint in the Woods" in Parsippany, NJ. He was giggling about the name and called Parsippany.. Par sa pan e - 10 years later I saw Rory Gallagher at the Lone Star in NYC. Someone shouted out " Joint in the Woods ", where Rory played in 1975 and God Bless Rory said perfectly "par sip pany "
@psu68born Good radio back then. I got the audio on a two-disc CDR from a seller on eBay a few years ago. One of the most revealing, and fun, sessions with post-Beatles Lennon I'd heard. I had to share it with the Internet. Interesting comment. Thanks.
i really really want to like yoko but sometimes its hard... john seemed so happy and relax when she wasn't around and it seems to me like a very strong proof against her.
Wonderful post! Been waiting for someone to post this wonderful memory... thank you!! Am I imagining it or was there a vinyl bootleg back in the late '70s?
Interesting to hear what he thought about the Beatles UK and US Albums, and without naming him Dave Dexter Jr. No wonder that Apple Corps made all of the UK Albums the World Standard with two variations.
Hey, I took an excerpt from this video and gave you credit in my decryption. Uploaded it to my youtube account of John Lennon's input on the Stereo Mastering! Let me know if you want me to take it down. I changed the pictures. I give you credit. Here the link: th-cam.com/video/Uthg6OU3lVQ/w-d-xo.html
This audio is priceless!
always good to hear Johns voice
Absolutely fantastic, I hated to hear it end. Thanks for uploading. Lennon was the best.
Thank you for posting this gem!! wow! The images are so cool and helpful to go with DJ John... what a show that would be!
This was great to hear John just having fun on the radio with that sharp wit he had been a long time since I heard this one sounds great

I do remember tuning this in and promptly shitting myself when I realized it was John. Thank you for uploading it.
Thank you for posting :)
Lovely to hear his voice!
Great rare appearance on radio. Thanks for sharing!
This was great! Thank you!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This man...just never will be touched.
I want to (NEED to!) hear the other three parts of this interview but they’ve been blocked. >:(
John always seems less pressured and open in Radio Interviews as opposed to TV interviews. Also a plus that Yoko isn't involved.

tath was great to hear again !
WTF is tath?

#9 is my number too
Isn't it great to hear John talking without Yoko alway's butting in.
It would be great if people would learn the proper use of apostrophes.

Angst?
Did someone squat in your breakfast cereal?
Yes.
She destroyed his ego along with lsd
John is actually having fun, free to talk and play without yono
lol "Mostly cloud with periods..... of rain" Oh John. lol
right on
John Lennon DJ’d for WNEW (where rock lives) and said that if the Beatles were still around they would have sounded like ELO.
It would be awesome if John DJ'd my radio station.
I don't think that's gonna happen.
Elton John used to sit in as a DJ on WNEW as well. I figured that JL got the idea from EJ.
Winston o boogie irreplaceable
Why don't they do those little round things?

Interesting how MILO borrows a lot of from the cheeky Beatles humor.
