Actually after some research...in 1966 a 275HP 327 was the base 327. There was a 300HP variety and the L79 variety had 350HP

That 275 HP on that 327 ci engine with a 4 barrel carb was for sure a high output engine. It had the big valves in the head. They were highly sought after engines in my younger days. Great info on this video, I really enjoyed it. Take care Aaron.

The first 327 I have is in the 57 chevy I bought a year ago... I never knew what the hype was about... now I know. When she is on, she runs strong

Being that a lot of 350 chevys came with what 160-190hp? I would think it’s a h.o. as well! My buddy just picked up a 1965 impala last weekend. I’m going to have to go up there and decode it now! Cool info!
