I cannot thank you ENOUGH. as someone that has wanted to dip their toes in the Graphic design pool, you made this very beginner friendly. I'm actually not struggling and enjoying this whole process.
Same goes for me. ;( always rewinding every min. I don’t understand what does she meant by clicking up and down arrow to change diff shape. When I try it just move my element 😭
That’s the good part though, you can rewind and others can fast forward depending on how beginner-y they are. This I need to watch several times, but I hate how slow other tutorials are sometimes.
I've found that the easiest way to make an arch is to make a rectangle, select only the two corners you want rounded with the direct selection tool, (clicking on the circles with a little dot in the middle, not the anchor points themselves) with shift+click, and after they're selected, you drag the circles to the very middle, until both become a single red circle. Boom, perfect arch, one of my favorite shapes.
I was going to comment this. Her method was quite long. You don't even need to shift click. Just use the direct selection tool and drag over both corners
THANK YOU for teaching such useful tricks. This was perfect for someone like me who hasn’t learned the Illustrator basics in years so always gets frustrated. I feel like I can start using Illustrator confidently again after watching this!!!
I want to express my deep gratitude for your videos. They've been incredibly helpful, especially for someone like me who's just starting out in graphic design and diving into Adobe Illustrator. Your content has played a vital role in my learning journey. Thank you so much, and God bless you!
I never comment on YT vids, but I had to join in and say how how helpful this tutorial was. I feel like the most you find when you're searching tutorials is how to use a specific tool, rather than taking you step by step through a simple project. The only question I have after watching is about where you get your fonts from. Are your favorite fonts ones that you've purchased from foundries? Or do peruse in the world of free fonts?
you’re a lifesaver. I’m a graphic design major and we do have illustrator classes but omfg theyre so boring, just talking abt tools one by one. this is so much more fun!!!
ughh this is the best tutorial ever. i had so much fun and though i had to rewind everything had a point and i luv it keep making these kinds of tutorials please!!!!
"oh shoot" that's what I am right now, totally in shock at how easy it is to get started with AI, your style of teaching is also easy to follow as you point out the essential really quick! I'm so exciting after the tutorial, tysm!
8 minutes in and I'm already loving it. I kinda know how to use illustrator but you show so many different features so I'm learning soooo much. Thank you very much
I hate illustrator because I just can't understand it but I swear you've helped me so much, I get it now, it's so cool the way that you're teaching by making it a little more fun and at the same time you're covering so many tools and topics, thank you so much
With me taking my first graphic design this truly made it less intimidating for me to use the adobe illustrator! thank you so much this was very useful!
Hi Katrina, I love your videos so muuuuuuuuuuuuch. As a person who starts exploring Illustrator as I am transitioning from as a QA to a Graphic Designer, this helps a lot. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the tutorial, so easy to follow, found some tricks I didn't know in Illustrator! Would love to see more tutorial from you, your process, how you make it faster and more efficient 💖
TY for posting this! im an art director & have been wanting to get back into graphic design. (side note, would LOVE to see a home office tour // how you set up your space)
I personally have used illustrator for a while so I knew some of the tips weren't going to be that useful for me but my god did I love all of the shortcut keys you taught! For some reason I never got around to learn how to use the shortcuts and always manually picked every single element besides a few so it's very useful to learn those things!
Great video, I have always been curious about graphic design. I don’t pick up new skills as fast as some others but your tutorial is great for my method of learning. Thanks again 😃
more tutorials, please. This is really motivating I tried doing this and it was a great first time for me using Adobe Illustrator. I need more tutorials
Ive used ps before for typesetting work and im trying to learn this for scientific figures and im so glad to learn alot of the stuff is similar 😭 thank you for such a helpful intro tutorial
I actually used this app for around more than a year, yet I never knew there were lots of features that they offered loll haha. By the way, your self-presentation is very calming to watch, thank you for this video considering the fact that you have to retake xD
really helpful and lovely tutorial, everything super clear and fun to try along to. Would loooove to see more of this! Or of any content you deliver truly, everything is just visually delightful. I just have a tiny question, how did you manage to add the exclamation point after working the text as image? I'm sure is super simple and intuitive but I am unable to find it haha anyhowww thanks for the tutorial :)))

ah I'm so glad to hear this thank you!!!!!
I might just be slow, everyone is saying how easy it is to follow and here I am rewinding every 5 minutes
Me every 2 mins
It’s not easy to follow

The best way to learn,,,same to me
