Once I was feeling a bit low cursing life and its hardships and my mom told me "why dont you learn from itchy boots. Being a woman she travels alone on treacherous tracks and enjoys life. Buck up and learn something". Epiphany hit me positively and itchy boots videos teach us to be free spirited, adventurous, happy, joyful and thankful to Lord for such beautiful life and cherish its wonders much like Norally. Thanks.
And she does it free of drugs, materialist world and X rated stuff. People can learn happiness in living a simple life and respecting all other cultures.
potholes, donkeys, cows and red SUVs cutting into your lane... and Noraly responds by happily waving at children... The lady keeps her priorities in order... and even when being given bad information, remains pleasant. We should all express such grace and patience.
Always positive, never judging, accepting things/people/habits as they come. I love this channel, and it is good to brush up the geography as well - with Noraly traveling through the continents, it is easier to have it stuck in the correct place and in the brain. I am addicted since many months, and how can one get tired of the constant new views. Also agree with everyone that the music is great.
Watching all over again from Season One! When I was a child, late '40s, early 50s, I looked forward to each Lone Ranger radio program. Now I look forward to the next Itchy Boots.
This is certainly one of the best channels on youtube. Aside being wholesome, educational, entertaining and exciting it is free from all the divisive political garbage and drama and opinions etc. And it is as real as you can get. TH-cam is blessed to have her.

And you dealt with the disappointment of your visit to the Tsodilo Hills with the EQ (Emotional Intelligence) of the true professional you have proven to be, time and time again, I am never disappointed with your wholesome positive viewpoint and mental attitude. You must have the proudest parents in Holland! :)
Hi Nora, I have been riding for 12 years already and always played it safe... you have made me a more Brave rider, by not being scared to take that small dirt road leading to "no-where". Safe riding. Really enjoying your travels. Greetings from South Africa.
Through your channel, I feel that I have visited a large part of the world that I may never actually see in person. Thanks for the great work you do filming, editing, and presenting. Onward
I agree with Johnny X. Paul is not completely wrong. In the nearby north of the Western Cape province in South Africa rock paintings by the same KhoiSan people have been radio carbon dated to between 10,000 and 73,000 years eg Blombos, Elands Bay. My reference is Cederberg Rock Paintings by Prof. John Parkington UCT publ. Krakadouw Trust 2003.
As Noraly said there is evidence that Bantu peoples were responsible for some of the artworks at the hills 4000 to 5000 ago. But some of the paintings have been dated to be as early as 24000 years before present.
As always, you take so many things in stride, well done. I have noticed that your bike handling skills are truly those of the seasoned moto-traveler. It has all become second nature to you, smooth, confident and assured all of which adds to the enjoyment both for you and for us, your many followers. Botswana is truly an extraordinary country. I know you will enjoy it. I am reminded of Alexander McCall Smith's many books detailing the many adventures surrounding The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Botswanans are a lovely people.
"Hi Noraly, I'm a huge fan of your work on Itchy Boots and I'm inspired by your adventures around the world. I'm a local from Botswana and I would love to show you the best of my country when you visit next time. I would be happy to help you plan and navigate your travels, and I think it would be a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other and share our love for adventure.❤❤❤
Noraly, your soundtracks are always great, but the drone music in this one was spot on!!! 👌 The world is waiting for you. Good luck... travel safe... and keep going! 🤟
@@carlantonweber8371 Carl, have you seen any of Sir David Attenborough's nature documentaries. The beautiful music certainly enhances the video content. So it is with Noraly ! Cheers. Trinidad & Tobago.
Fun to see the children waving to you and you giving a wave back. You bring a smile to us but also to the ones you pass by. Like here in Kansas people still wave to each other out in the country.
I really enjoy your adventures. I'm very impressed for the fact you are touring the world all by yourself on a motorcycle, riding so wild places and roads, savanas and such. I just got mesmerized, as if I was there travelling with you. I just keep whatching the road and the vegetarion, the african vegetation, as if sudenly a wild animal would pop up. I pray for God your protection and safety.

Paul was not entirely wrong. From Wikipedia The oldest artifacts of humans, are around 100,000 years old. The oldest painting has been dated to around 24,000 , probably by San people. These are all Red. The white paintings are younger and Attributed to the Bantu tribes , circa 400 AD A few are only a few 100 years old. All in all around 2500 paintings have been identified in the area - justifyIng the world Heritage site designation
It's a matter of sources available for that knowledge to be passed on, sometimes supervisors have to be aware but if they are not does not mean you you have to be disappointed, Noraly love ♥️ you
Noraly, I am shaking my head, LOL and smiling. Your wonder lust amazes me. You are kind of like some of the historical travelers that roamed this world like few others. God be with you. Look forward to seeing your travels. Thank you for all that you have shared with us.
The paintings were very cool! I know you didn't want to leave Namibia, but just think what new adventures await you and us! It's very exciting. Maybe Paul was off by 90,000 years or so (Neanderthals were 40,000 years ago) but we can use out imagination too. I think this was a great episode, don't be too disappointed, Noraly. Thanks! 😎
A quick check showed that Paul wasn't totally off. There have been recent finds of tools in Tsodilo dating to 70,000-100,000 years ago. So he had just mixed the facts up a bit.
Donkeys were domesticated only 6,000 years ago, and cattle (cows) about 10,500 years ago. The donkey looked like a modern donkey, so that painting was less than 6k-years old without doubt, nowhere near the 100k statement. Plus, I'm sure that so far the oldest painting discovered is in Spain and it's only 64k years old.
I’m looking into buying a KLR 650. I live in Southern California with all of Mexico just 2 hours down the road! With a surfboard, fishing rod and needed gear, thanks to Itchy Boots for the inspiration, I will disappear from time to time, indulge my passions and enjoy the meditation that travel like this provides 🤙
@Itchy Boots I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations at Tsodilo. Noraly, 👍👏 Your choice of music is absolutely perfect and beats the choice made by nearly all other sites on TH-cam. Many others I just either stop watching or mute. Brings back memories of my CB350 and the wonderful feeling of riding it in SA in the ‘70s, something I miss.
Even through your little bit of disappointment you can still find joys in the little things like all the maneuvering fun around the potholes. The children all waving is so fun to see and I’m sure seeing you was fun for them. Every country is so unique...looking forward to what Botswana has to explore. Have fun Noraly!
Thanks for showing me a place I have always wanted to.visit! I was in Maun and the Okavango delta area, back in the days when Botswana was still called Bechuanaland. This video reminded me of the roads which were mostly deep sand tracks back then. “ Lost world of the Kalahari”, a book by Laurens van der Post has a great description and provides background on the Tsodilo Hills. Love your videos, narration and your music.
Yes ...lovely roads...lol. When we were at Tsodilo Hills many moons ago the guide took us for a walk/climb into those rocks...I nearly died..Yes enjoy Botswana!

Know i got ot get used to waiting for your next video. Thanks for all the awesome videos. Safe travels. Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa.
Noraly, you really have become a savvy traveler. Researching your interests, creating videos and editing them on the fly, so they flow seamlessly. You make it interesting and educational so it makes very good sense. I don't see how a guide would have made much difference. A Big Thumbs Up for your channel Noraly, you are doing a fantastic job of factually revealing the things you discover and making me feel like I am right there experiencing it with you. Yes Yes Yes. Thank you for such a professional delivery. I hope this never gets old for you, and you ride on forever. ben/ michigan
Wow, how it has all changed in 20 years Noraly. The road out to Tsodilo was one of the most challenging 4x4 sand tracks in Botswana, even the road from Shakawe to Toteng. Glad that you do not have to struggle with those conditions. Pity you were not able to have a more rewarding experience at Tsodilo. Safe travels.
The drone views always give such a wonderful idea of the overall landscape. It was a fascinating scramble over the rocks to see the paintings, even if it didn't turn out as hoped. I especially liked the first rhino with those ears sticking up. A bit whimsical and very nicely drawn.
In SA I have also driven on pothole roads where pedestrians walk on what is left of the tarred roads and vehicles drive where pedestrians used to walk. If you drive straight on these roads you are drunk, if you drive zig-zag you are sober . . . 🤣
Beautiful video as per usual , but today I learned so much about Donkeys , they've been forever as the drawing on the rock states , all over the road , being mistreated , but the best moment is when one whispers the other about you .... minute 3.23,,24 nice.🤠
I especially like the children singing in background to your videos. If you are positive and look for good you will always find it.We look different and dress different but we all have the same life plans.
You have learned a lot. disappointment is also fine and teaches, disappointment is a kind of bankruptcy: the bankruptcy of a soul that spends too much on hope and expectation. You are on an adventure !!! in other words, stories to tell ... disappointment can also be told.

You made the school children’s day! That friendly wave certainly excites them. Pot holes or not, you have a very nice ride and as always, the drone footage was phenomenal!
What a wonderful world that a woman alone can travel safely across a Continent. It is safer where Noraly travels than most large cities. A lesson to not believe a lot of the negative propaganda we hear. Africa looks like an interesting country to visit. People are so friendly and helpful. Noraly has really opened my eyes to the beauty of Africa and its peoples. Africa will increase its tourism thanks to Noraly. What an absolute delight to enjoy this journey with her. Many thanks Noraly
Paul did his best in the circumstances ( bless him ) he probably felt uncomfortable and out of his depth, that said we saw some wonderful paintings and scenery. 🦌🦒🦏🐘🐃 🏍🛖.
There are no bettere words to say than "I don't know!" When you don't know, though. The greatest trouble with them is that most people yet have to learn to understand them when they hear them, though. That's why so few have the courage to say them.
On my first trip to Botswana (80's) we were able to fit two Landovers into one pothole but the road to the hills has definitely improved since I was last there. Thank you Noraly for another awesome episode and the reminder of many fond memories.
Listening to the story about the GoPro audio issues, I have to chime in. Sitting here watching your adventures and how things break, I'm watching this episode waiting for parts. Everything behind my seat has to be repaired or replaces, I've done some LONG HARD riding over the last two years, over 19,000 K. How you stay positive is beyond me. One positive side effect, I get to re-watch Itchy Boots from S-1 E-1 AGAIN. LOVE everything about your channel. Many happy and safe miles to you, Noraly. From Nevada, USA
What I LOVE above the "home" ground, is that, although there are MANY opportunities to "complain" about how things happen and are "run", the "worst" comment has been "Oh well, that took a while / little longer than expected" and NO criticism of what you have to endure. Compared to some others who struggle to keep their sarcasm, criticism, "comparison" silent. Which Is why I LOVE following - - although I giggle at the "innocence" of the traveller in this strange [to some] world of Africa. RIde On Noraly, Ride ON.
O poor donkeys they got a beating after all that loads. You are right ✅ that poor guy didn't know anything about those paintings a hundreds thousand years old. But thats OK,,, we are humans we do make mistakes, we are not perfect at all. Give us more and more amazing videos Noraly. Drive safe Stay healthy GOD BLESS YOU.
I always look forward to Monday mornings, when I can boot up my works computer and catch up with Noraly. Brightens my otherwise hum drum existence. Oh to be young again, I would be so inspired!
I never have seen you have a depressing day. But this may be close. Hopefully your next adventure will be more fulfilling. I loved the scenery regardless and the beautiful blue skies.
I absolutely love your videos. I am trying to watch them all to catch up. You inspire woman to branch out. Sometimes you scare me but your adventures are incredible. Take care.
Wonderful that you are in Botswana. Hope you have a really great time traveling in Botswana. Wishing you problem free riding. Your Honda 250 should be perfect for the riding. In deep soft sand, open the throttle to get on top of it and go! 😊
Hi Noraly Every time i watch your latest vlog, the tune of the 70's/80's hit TV show "The Littlest Hobo" comes to mind... :There's a voice, that keeps on calling me, down the road, that's where I'll always be, every stop I make, I make a new friend, can't stay for long, just turn around and I'm gone again, Maybe tomorrow I'll wanna settle down, maybe tomorrow I'll just keep moving on..... hell of an ear worm....

Every time I watch your videos Noraly , I think of the Bobby McFerrin song , " Don't Worry Be Happy ".
Once again you ALWAYS pick the PERFECT soundtrack for your visuals!
Thanks for sharing Noraly and sorry that you did not enjoy Tsodilo because of lack of guides we hope next time you shall find them, i came across your videos here on TH-cam i can say am not addicted like most of your followers, keep up a great work and that breviary, love and respect from Botswana
You made the school children’s day! That friendly wave certainly excites them. Pot holes or not, you have a very nice ride and as always, the drone footage was phenomenal!
Please be careful, out there , you still have your whole life ahead of you , lady Noraly .
Big like from Romania. 🙋♀️🙋♂️🇹🇩🌎Noraly nr. 1.
What a wonderful world that a woman alone can travel safely across a
Continent.
Watching this in 4K with the Blue sky, fluffy White clouds and colorful mountains was outstanding.
Paul did his best in the circumstances ( bless him ) he probably felt uncomfortable and out of his depth, that said we saw some wonderful paintings and scenery. 🦌🦒🦏🐘🐃 🏍🛖.
Thousands of years???!
The Creation/life on earth exist only between 6 and 7 thousand years.
@@mariepretorius898 Where did you get that from? :D
There are no bettere words to say than "I don't know!" When you don't know, though. The greatest trouble with them is that most people yet have to learn to understand them when they hear them, though. That's why so few have the courage to say them.
Paul did well indeed. He was a bit spell bound by you and unprepared as he was not a guide - did well! Loved the episode
@@ElGreco291 I think she is one of those who still believe the universe was made in 6 days and that God rested on the 7th ???
That "Other" person would be me! Love Noraly's cheerful positivity.
Your Cheery Disposition is Infectious Noraly.... 😀❤
Paul 😂😂 is such a character... I just wish he said less.. I loved this episode... ❤
Wow, this road in the drone shot looks like a way of light through these golden sceneries, an absolutely gorgeous view!
It's always fun to ride with you Noraly. I'm enjoying it every time....A big thank you.
Don't be disappointed, Its good that you enjoyed the walk & the beauty of the place ,, those potholes, kids , people.. this the bright side 👌😉
I never have seen you have a depressing day. But this may be close. Hopefully your next adventure will be more fulfilling. I loved the scenery regardless and the beautiful blue skies.
Its a good start for your adventure in Botswana! Wish you a huge pile of fascinating and awesome experience in the forthcoming rides!
I absolutely love your videos. I am trying to watch them all to catch up. You inspire woman to branch out. Sometimes you scare me but your adventures are incredible. Take care.
Big thumbs up 👍
Noraly est la championne du gymkhana !!! Bravo pour la performance et merci pour les pauvres jantes du motorbike .
You är so sweet and comprahend what ever you meet. God luck to you
Wonderful that you are in Botswana.
Noraly, Thank you for posting the studio that you use for the background music for your videos; it couldn't be more perfect. Lydia, Dayton, Minnesota USA
