I have normal to dry skin at 57, and I love the Maybelline Fit Me Loose powder in the color 05. I just cannot find another drugstore powder I like better. I own the RCMA and the Elf Beauty Shield powders, but don't reach for them. The ONLY powder I can use under my eyes is the Elf Under Eye powder in the tiny jar. My skin is crepey and all the powders I have tried look terrible!!

I have a loose powder question. I've been using a powder as a base before liquid foundation per Nikkia Joy and it really works but I've been wondering if there's a better powder to use. Currently I use Coty Airspun but maybe there's something out there even more mattifying for a super oily, super pale girl that will fill in my moderate pores and keep the foundation break up at bay.

I have dry skin and I hate the maybelline loose powder. Even if I use so little that I cannot tell I’ve put powder on at first. A couple hours later I look powdery.

The Milani Prep Set and Glow powder is my current go to finishing powder. I sweep it over my forehead, chin, and under eyes using the ELF highlighter brush!
The Patrick Starrr powder is everything. I truly think it’s the best powder to date. I hope they come back with it bc I wish I copped it when it first came around. I got it the second it came back but I got less product and paid more but it’s still fantastic

Christina Mack sky skin is normal to dry and I don’t powder. In her foundation reviews, every foundation ends up breaking up on her skin. That never happens on dry skin. It’s oily.

You should do a separate drawer or bucket of just the products you use when you're tan. They'd be easier to find and sort through when you're tan and they'll be out of the way when you're pale. I know I have the problem that I forget what I have if it's for only special/specific occasions.
I have dry and dehydrated skin and I just bought the new Urban decay all nighter pressed powder and oh my! It’s amazing. I mean powders just look terrible on my skin no matter if they are loose or pressed but not this one. I just wanted to share this with y’all. 😁

I'm normal-dry and 50 - I have a few different ways of using it... 1) it's great to buff in & blend cheek products so you don't get that "stripey" look, 2) lightly brushed on as an all over finishing powder for my more matte foundations when a full on "setting" would be too drying, 3) for full face setting, though in really warm weather the high humidity here means using it with a puff doing the press & roll thing or makeup'll slide right off, 4) it's also good on a no-makeup day - just some concealer where needed, maybe a bit of blush and the powder dusted all over & lip balm and done.
I have normal to dry skin as well. I’ll use some loose powder in my t-zone then set the whole face with the Milani powder. It really transforms my face and makes me look more glowy and not cakey, especially once I put some hydrating setting spray on. My make up would honestly not look as good without the Milani powder and a setting spray. Can’t live without now!

Powders are one of my hardest things to declutter, besides my too faced sweet peach setting powder I just have found that #2 So I always keep so many going back and forth!!!
I have the sammmme powder struggles, where it always picks up coverage when I set. So, i am always looking for a go-to powder to set my makeup because, I have oily/acne prone skin with few pitted acne scars. Its not like her having that much is taking away from someone else, shes not "hogging" anything. And once its used (and she has to use it to make content for her job) the only people who can take it in a lot of cases are her personal friends/family. She does huge collab projects with a company (project beautyshare i think its called) that does give makeup and hygiene items to women in need, so of all people she is not one who needs to be criticized for being "selfish". I know this is a long comment and that overconsumption is a real problem, but i don't think this is something to have a problem with. Just my 2 cents lol
@@sarabullard492 I guess it bothers me because of my mindset. I won't buy stuff if I don't use it and I'll give away stuff I already have that I don't really use. I just don't like to have stuff sitting around. It's about the clutter and about the actual product going to waste for me rather than someone else missing it. I can't justify keeping a product to use it once or twice or 5 times at the most and then just keep it for swatching. For me, the product going to waste outweighs the little benefit of keeping it 'for reference'. What I would do in her position is keep notes on products so I don't forget my opinions on them when I give them away. Why hold on to them and have them take up space if there are better ways of referencing them?

That Hourglass veil loose powder got SO MUCH HYPE. I spent freaking AU$67 on it. And it was nothing special. What a flop. Also, I love the Cover FX Illuminating setting powder but I only got a tiny travel size one and I think they discontinued it?! 😭
To get more use of my loose powders I press them into a pan. If you don't like the pur powder but want the packaging best to just reuse the packaging. :)

The Maybelline fit me loose powder and the hourglass powder are the best ones for dry skin that I’ve found

I'm normal-dry and 50 - I have a few different ways of using it... 1) it's great to buff in & blend cheek products so you don't get that "stripey" look, 2) lightly brushed on as an all over finishing powder for my more matte foundations when a full on "setting" would be too drying, 3) for full face setting, though in really warm weather the high humidity here means using it with a puff doing the press & roll thing or makeup'll slide right off, 4) it's also good on a no-makeup day - just some concealer where needed, maybe a bit of blush and the powder dusted all over & lip balm and done.

I have normal to dry skin as well. I’ll use some loose powder in my t-zone then set the whole face with the Milani powder. It really transforms my face and makes me look more glowy and not cakey, especially once I put some hydrating setting spray on. My make up would honestly not look as good without the Milani powder and a setting spray. Can’t live without now!

Powders are one of my hardest things to declutter, besides my too faced sweet peach setting powder I just have found that #2 So I always keep so many going back and forth!!!
I have the sammmme powder struggles, where it always picks up coverage when I set. So, i am always looking for a go-to powder to set my makeup because, I have oily/acne prone skin with few pitted acne scars. So, it's always a struggle to find makeup that doesnt look 🎂 && I'm getting married in October and would like to know what powder you would recommend or could you do a video of a FULL wedding glam pleaseee? That would help me soo much!! I already bought some foundations you recommended, so waiting to try them out. 🤞

@@Anyone._. i guess and i see what you mean, but its her job so it makes sense to me that she has so much. Its not like her having that much is taking away from someone else, shes not "hogging" anything. And once its used (and she has to use it to make content for her job) the only people who can take it in a lot of cases are her personal friends/family. She does huge collab projects with a company (project beautyshare i think its called) that does give makeup and hygiene items to women in need, so of all people she is not one who needs to be criticized for being "selfish". I know this is a long comment and that overconsumption is a real problem, but i don't think this is something to have a problem with. Just my 2 cents lol
@@sarabullard492 I guess it bothers me because of my mindset. I won't buy stuff if I don't use it and I'll give away stuff I already have that I don't really use. I just don't like to have stuff sitting around. It's about the clutter and about the actual product going to waste for me rather than someone else missing it.
I can't justify keeping a product to use it once or twice or 5 times at the most and then just keep it for swatching. For me, the product going to waste outweighs the little benefit of keeping it 'for reference'. What I would do in her position is keep notes on products so I don't forget my opinions on them when I give them away. Why hold on to them and have them take up space if there are better ways of referencing them?
Sara Myron it's just irritating because she calls this video a declutter when it's really not. It's definitely more of a collection video, which is totally fine. But people come to this video looking for an actual declutter. She should just call it what it is🤷🏻♀️
That Maybelline fit me powder seems great for my dry skin. I even grab it over my Hourglass sometimes!

That Hourglass veil loose powder got SO MUCH HYPE. I spent freaking AU$67 on it. And it was nothing special. What a flop.

To get more use of my loose powders I press them into a pan. If you don't like the pur powder but want the packaging best to just reuse the packaging. :)

Did you ever throw something out or give it away and regret it so much you bought it again?? Lol. I did that with wet n wild comfort zone. I didn't know how to do eyeshadow way back when and I thought it was just kid makeup so I threw it out. Watched a video on it and bought it again. Lol. Love it.
