Watching her live is just awkward.... always. Music videos are great, just don't think it necessary for her to be making those (I don't know what) movements live. Makes me wonder if she's ever watched herself perform live. She's blessed with the ability to sing just as well live and think that's a majority of what she needs to be doing. Man, you're joking, right? You got to be. Every artist performs differently. Her dance takes her songs to another level. There's nothing awkward about it, it's just that you don't understand and don't know how to appreciate her way of performing.
Nope, still not joking. Every artist does perform differently, but also find that the dancing in this instance, interferes with her giving the cleanest vocal performance. The clearest indication may be the disparity between views of her music(+ audio) videos and live performance videos(which may essentially mean nothing..?). I don't claim to be an expert but I've seen enough good and bad live performances do be able to distinguish (though words do often fail me) between the greatest and worst. I'm not saying she shouldn't dance, but the greatest live acts know when to and when not to. Feel like she's trying too hard(to be different) at times. Would prefer she perfect delivering the emotion in her vocal performance, than with the dance moves.
She seems to have compromised on the vocal for the dance , and while it is her creative decision, I personally don't like that. Some can dance difficult choreography while performing, some can't but there's no shame in that.
