I freakin' love Pilot Juice pens! I don't know if they're water or alcohol-based, but they don't smear or get washed out even if the paper is drenched in water. I highly recommend them. Plus, the ink isn't too runny or dry and they have beautiful ink colors!

J L Murray Hi there, I used to spend a bunch of time looking at instagram and yt bullet journal content and tried to make my journal perfect and decorative etc but I was putting so much effort and time into it I wasn't using it enough to actually plan and I started to loathe the whole thing. So I backed right away from it all, grabbed a crappy old exercise book and stripped everything back to the core use system. I've finished that book and I'm looking at setting up a new one with a bit more structure (I bookmarked this vid because I like the future log layout and want to use it). seriously, if you're anxious about how pretty the bullet journals you see online are, just back away from them and deliberately use a super simple no frills system and just gradually add a sticker or something if you find you really want it. Remember this is a planning system not a scrapbook! :)
saw that part of your to do list is getting new glasses. hope it isn't too late to tell you that online eyeglasses are waaaayyyy cheaper than costco or anything. you still need to get your prescription, but try eyebuydirect or zenni optical. they are both great.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhit. This is gorgeous! Your calligraphy is beautiful. I wish i can do this because I love the aesthetic of it but I am not the journal type; I tried and horribly fail each time. And, I spill coffee on everything so...... but this is stunning!!
Veroplane it's weird because I'm also totally the kind to fall behind on journaling but since I've been using this system and I kinda have everything in one place I'm wayyyyy better about it. It has me doing homework, which is unheard of!
Hmmm, then I may want to try it then!! But STARTING in 2018. I cant start now. Not having January would put my OCD into extreme overdrive and I will be on high anxiety alert all damn year! :o(

Thanks so much. Very helpful. I am just starting and super excited. A bit of fear to put down my first word, lol! I am going to combine my tasks/goals and daily living with my creativity. Like another hobby. I think that we intend to keep the journals is significant. It validates me, my time, my values, my life's journey will be documented. Again, important to me to blend my personal life have tos with want tos. I am practicing first in another book before I decide on the structure and layout of my true journal. I am a little new to BuJo, and just kind of dove in, but I have not managed to put it to the best use yet. I can't seem to get into the routine or how to use it on a daily/weekly basis. How often do you work in your journal? How do you schedule the time? What is your routine? (This was a great first video, I must say, and very helpful.)
Thank you so much for this video!! I first watched the original Bullet Journal video by Ryder Carroll, but I could see I few things that I know would have bothered me a lot, such as the Daily Log! I hate running out of space, but also leaving huge gaps between my events :') But your idea of boxing your daily log makes so much sense, going to do just that. Shhhhhhhhhhhhit. This is gorgeous! Your calligraphy is beautiful. I wish i can do this because I love the aesthetic of it but I am not the journal type; I tried and horribly fail each time. And, I spill coffee on everything so...... but this is stunning!!
Veroplane it's weird because I'm also totally the kind to fall behind on journaling but since I've been using this system and I kinda have everything in one place I'm wayyyyy better about it. It has me doing homework, which is unheard of!
Hmmm, then I may want to try it then!! But STARTING in 2018. I cant start now. Not having January would put my OCD into extreme overdrive and I will be on high anxiety alert all damn year! :o(

Thanks so much. Very helpful. I am just starting and super excited. A bit of fear to put down my first word, lol! I am going to combine my tasks/goals and daily living with my creativity. Like another hobby. I think that we intend to keep the journals is significant. It validates me, my time, my values, my life's journey will be documented. Again, important to me to blend my personal life have tos with want tos. I am practicing first in another book before I decide on the structure and layout of my true journal. I feel like I want to get in deep with this. It feels like its going to be super fun. I look forward to future vids and update on your bullet journal, very inspiring. c xx
This is such a great idea! I always struggle with keeping myself accountable for what I want to accomplish all year..I think I'm going to have to get a journal and fill that bad boy out next weekend 🤓

I am a little new to BuJo, and just kind of dove in, but I have not managed to put it to the best use yet. I can't seem to get into the routine or how to use it on a daily/weekly basis. How often do you work in your journal? How do you schedule the time? What is your routine? (This was a great first video, I must say, and very helpful.)

Thank you so much for this video!! I first watched the original Bullet Journal video by Ryder Carroll, but I could see I few things that I know would have bothered me a lot, such as the Daily Log! I hate running out of space, but also leaving huge gaps between my events :') But your idea of boxing your daily log makes so much sense, going to do just that. Your other pages are also fantastic, can't wait to try some of them out, and watch the rest of your videos on Bullet Journals!
