    10 minutes in and you just changed my way of looking at the FLIP solver. So many new doors opened with just that little itsy bitsy information. Great presentation!

    Amazing course, and Juri is a great instructor. I usually hate when the shelf is used, but his explanations on each node and the parameters are exceptional.

    I don't even use Houdini (I'm 3ds Max, Tyflow and Phoenix) but I still watch your tuts and this is that Hollywood level type stuff!

      There are still a lot of handy tricks that somewhat cross over I have found.
      But yeah, I should probably learn Houdini. I think it's time.

    • @braddlackeyy
      @braddlackeyy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@annekedebruyn7797 I'll add more to my comment. I used 3dsmax for 10 years. I started learning houdini 3 years ago, then tyflow came out and stalled my transition. I finally decided to go all in. Totally worth it. Full integration between cloth, smoke, liquid, mograph, rigging. The hscript reminds me of after effects expressions. It boosted my skills and altered the work I get to do now. Switch now. Haha.

      @@braddlackeyy so according to you what should i use
      I do all the cg stuff in 3ds max and tyflow.
      I want a single software in which i can model texture and special fx simulation.
      I'm currently working in a small studio as a part time job. Here everyone uses houdini and I'm the only one who uses 3ds max.
      As I'm a new employee.

    I only watched the opening scenes and unfortunately I don't have any information about which films/series the sequences are from. I can't know everything and it would be easier if this information was included in the video... The copyright holder is nice but the title would be even more helpful ;)

    Hi there - I would like to create an object splitting a wave tank fluid in two - ie: Split the water - but make it spray up quite high on either side - I'm running an Intel 20 Core i9 / 32 gigs of DDR4 and an Asus STRIX 1080Ti - Is this machine enough to process a simulation like this? :/
