  • If you are planning a California trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea, also known simply as Carmel, then this video will show you what to expect! We walk down Ocean Ave. to the beach with stops along the way, including a stop at Dametra Café. We'll show you the famous Carmel beach and take a walk down Scenic Road. Finally after a day at the beach and a stop at the Thursday Farmers Market, we head to dinner at Flaherty's Seafood restaurant. We finish the day resting around the fire pit at the Candle Light Inn!

    What a wonderful tour of Carmel. Never been there was thinking of a trip out there, I know exactly what to expect and will be staying at the Candle Light Inn loved the cute continental breakfast and outdoors fire pit. And I will do as you guys when going to the beach, I like the parking off the side of road area looks like less of a walk to get to the beach from your car too.
    Well done video… Thank you 🤗🏖💕

    Stopped there briefly in 2020 pre-covid. Appreciate the opportunity to see some things I didn't catch. Keep the vids coming. Almost forgot. "Shout out to Carmel Valley Coffee Roasters."

    I've never seen a continental breakfast delivered like that! I haven't sent a ton of time in Carmel, just a quick stops on trips to Big Sur, but the time I have spent there I really enjoyed. Glad I went back into the archives and found this!

    Thanks you two. I visited Carmel a few years back on a coastal road trip. My favorite was The Lone Cypress Tree on the 17 Mile Drive. It was first photographed by 19th century photographer Carlton Watkins. Hope to be back in the autumn of 2021!
    BTW I highly recommend hiking in Big Sur!

      @@TravelwithNJSteveandSue I understand. I think I speak for the majority of Americans when I say that I`m sick of hearing about this virus. Even the commercials are all about the virus. Even if what they`re advertising has nothing to do with the virus they manage to mention it in some way, shape, or form. I understand that it`s a serious thing, but it doesn`t have to be the topic of conversation everywhere you turn.

    So how was the calamari steak? Sounds delicious! And what was in Sue's dish?

    • @TravelwithNJSteveandSue
      @TravelwithNJSteveandSue  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Calamari Steak was great! Like eating Calamari rings on steroids! Sue was eating Seafood Stew (Cioppino) which was created in the early 1900's in San Francisco by Italian Fisherman. Each night they took the leftover seafood they caught for the day and made a stew out of it. Hard dish to find on the east coast but easy to find in San Francisco! Its great! Thanks for watching!
