Dear Kyle, after a great effort I was able to use tour potentiostat on a real electrochemical system I made some voltammetries of ferrocene in MeCN using Et4N ClO4 as supporting electrolyte, GC as working electrode, platinum wire as counter electrode and a Ag/Ag+ as reference. Dear friend, I've been trying to reproduce your potentiostat unsuccessfully. I followed your procedure but when I try to run the GUI program I receive the following message from Win10: Fatal Error: - Failed to execute script pyboot01_bootstamp. Could you help me to work out this?
Does this make the program stop working? It could be because there are 2 files it tries to open that are not packaged, it should make them after it can not find them the first time. You can post your problem at github.com/KyleLopin/PSoC-Potentiostat/issues and I will look at it. Also there should be a logging file you can post to help me figure out the problem
I worked it out this issue. However, I have a doubt about the capacitor. You said the capacitor should be 100 nF or greater. However, you didn't specify the voltage of the capacitor (50 V, 100 V, 250 V...1000V). my last question is if it'd be possible to use a 4 electrode configuration ( ref, ref, wE and ce).
The maximum voltage that will go across the capacitor is 4 V, so any capacitor should work. Unfortunately the device can not use a 4 electrode configuration currently. I'm not sure it is possible without adding an external difference amplifier, I will be working on this in the future though.
