I think one of the most challenging things for me is wanting to make a choice in alignment with the will of God. Two things come to mind: Seek God’s will and wisdom first before taking action. And trust God will guide you. But when it comes to: 1. Complex situations with various options/parts/pieces or 2. When you don’t know what exactly you want to do, or 3. You know what you might want to pursue but not how to go about it. It’s challenging to wait on God to give guidance. In my mind the resolve for those situations listed above is: 1. It’s obvious to pray and fast 2. Seek wise and Godly counsel if you have access to it concerning the matter 3. Have faith knowing that all things work out for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. But the last thing you wanna do is make a move when you’re not even sure what God is telling you. I’ve also heard “God is always speaking but are you listening and acknowledging him”. It’s just not been that easy for me, well much easier said than done. I just see time going by and every time I put plans into focus, it’s always something coming up. I’m not here to make any excuses but constantly moving and having to maintain certain things in my life and to decide on what to do and how to begin to create a career for myself and continue to keep my mind and heart close to God/focused on God - It hasn’t been perfect but the effort is being made and held onto. It just feels like I don’t even know what I want in detail anymore. I have a general idea but I know I just want what God knows is best for me and I just don’t feel like what I’m living right now is that- yet I’m still grateful for my now while I’m wanting my next but how can you move to your next when you don’t even know what you want anymore or have the vision for it. If you don’t have the vision, you deff don’t have the plan. If you can’t discern what God wants how can you follow it? That’s my challenge lately and I’m just tyad but wanting to get to it. I’m not complaining just wondering if anybody else knows what I mean.
Woww wait bc I literally felt this ENTIRE post lol! Like spot on everything you said...a lot of my dreams and plans that I've let slip were from fear of stepping out of God's will. I've been in a season in my life before where I did SO much fasting and praying etc. to hear God, and things still fell apart in the end as if I'd heard God wrong. I was so frustrated to the point where I no longer had a vision or plan. I just focused on getting to know God better, and pretty much threw everything else out the window I didn't care no more frfr lol. But fully surrendering really helped me to get to know Him for Him alone, and I also got those lessons that I needed to get internally. Just now getting back into a place where I feel confident making plans again that align with His will. Another thing I recommend, ask God to help you discern how He speaks to you. People be like "God told me audibly" man God ain't never spoke to me audibly in my life 🤣I haven't never spoke in tongues, and the only dreams I really get (rarely now) are warnings/nightmares. Mostly when I hear God speak, it's just a presence of peace that comes over me or a check in my spirt etc. Reading the word be key too! I know how agitating it can be when people tell you to listen to God's voice and it's like you trying but not hearing nothing lol. Maybe ask Him to reveal any possible distractions that are keeping you from being able to; He likes to reveal that lol. But I promise He desires a relationship and to be heard by you! 💗 I believe its important too when trying to move on a certain plan and things start happening: ask if it's simply not God's will for you or just spiritual warfare trying to work against you. Because best believe once you lock in and begin to work toward something, the devil gone start to throw things at you to make you doubt and give up. "Woe is me" can be a spiritual warfare battle. I now know that something that is from God will come with peace, and not confusion. But also, don't let the devil/lil warfare jabs allow you to get talked out of your blessing! Just seek Him above all else and everythinggg else will follow! I am ROOTING FOR YOU XOXO 🥳💗 (sorry for long reply haha)

I remember I did the same (set my plans aside to get closer to God) and felt like opportunities were passing me by but I had to remember where the opportunities came from. I guess I didn’t wanna miss gods answers as I sought him out and especially didn’t wanna miss the answers bc of a “woe is me” perspective/ attitude. But you made a great prayer point in asking God how he speaks to *you* specifically and what may be the distraction. I could say sooo much bc this topic/convo is a deeep and layered one but I appreciate the response and its length because it really addresses everything I mentioned. Thank you so much for the encouragement and I’m really really happy to hear you feel progress/better now in making choices in alignment with God’s will. I will seek him above all else.
