- hi! I hope you’re doing well🤍
It’s a long video this week with a lot of talking and thinking about journals and evaluating systems - I hope you don’t mind the rambles too much!

Happy Birthday!!! The sticker in the front is the cutest!! Loved how you are using the A6 and that cover. I want one so bad but you are right they are hard to find.
OMG, that little squirrel is just the cutest!!! 😍😍😍
They are so friendly and cute, it’a always such a joy🥺
the md grid notebook is Like That because it's a blend of grids and more traditional japanese manuscript paper, so yes, designed to have one "letter" per grid ^^; its sure Something for writing in roman languages haha
i use the hobonichi notebook for my commonplace, just the a6, and i tend to draw the margins for multiple pages at once and isnt too bothersome for me personally but mileage may vary ha ^^
Ooooh I didn’t know! Thank you for explaining, that actually makes sense ahah and I feel like it’d look so pretty with Japanese written on it to be fair
I also haven’t really found it bothersome to draw margins this past week or so of testing this out, it’s actually quite relaxing!🥰
That is a gorgeous kitty ☺☺
Amazing video 😊😊😊
Random question, but at the lab, how do you work with such long nails??? I wanna get my nails done but they sometimes get in the way when I work. Do you have any tips or advice?
Actually a very fair question! I think a lot of it comes down to being used to having them (I’ve had them this long for probably a year at this point so I’m used to them and aware of them if it makes sense). I was afraid they’d rip through gloves because they’re quite pointy but I haven’t had any issues yet, the only annoying thing I’ve found is that Parafilm really sticks to them, but other than that they don’t really bother me. As I said I think a lot of it is a matter of habit and small adjustments like I open Eppendorf tubes with the side of my thumb (idk if with short nails you’d maybe open it more with the tip of your finger?), same thing for pipetting I press with my finger kind of sideways so the nail doesn’t get caught(?) and little things like that! Probably not too helpful, sorry! I guess it also depends on what you have to do and maybe they’d get in the way with different tasks, but I haven’t really had issues☺️
@@untitled_paintings thank you so much for replying!!! 🥰🥰🥰 I love watching your videos and I love your artworks too. Keep at it!!! I’ll be here to support always 🫶🫶🫶
That is so kind of you, thank youu🥺🤍
Have you looked at The Planner Monkey’s freely planned notebooks ?
I actually hadn’t, thank you! Had a look after seeing your suggestion and the A5 400-page notebook is what looks most interesting but I’m afraid it would bulk up so much (see my Hon after just three months of using it😬) and idk how expensive shipping/custom duties from Canada might be, I’ll keep it in mind for the future though🥰
I've been watching your videos for a short while and love your content, but I must ask... Have you spent much time in South Africa? Every now and then I pick up on a SA accent from you. (I grew up there). Sorry if I'm a mile off. :)
That’s really interesting to hear (and you’re actually not the first to ask!) because I’ve never been to South Africa! I mostly learnt English through TH-cam and then lived in the UK for 8 months, but I feel like my accent changes a lot based on who I’m listening to at any given time ahah
It’s always so interesting to hear how it’s perceived! And thank you🥰
