It's a song he wrote for his late grandfather, if I'm not mistaken, so the lyrics are very emotional. The theme of this video clip is about feelings of sadness and loss. It can be seen from the dancer's gestures that are deeply immersed in the lyrics. In the lyrics “what are you doing?” and “what you see” reflects a person's indifference to his feelings. However, despite suffering and loss, he remains the light and source of happiness in her life.
thanks bro! I love this song when I first heard it then forgot about it and just rediscovered it again this year and its playing everyday on my spotify 😂
I don't remember how I discovered Yonezu Kenshi however I love singers with an amazing voice and he's one of them. I'm going to buy this song for sure. Great song. 🙂
Anime, Drama, Movie, Commercial even News Show. This guy encountered everything. The true King of Jpop for sure. This song itself was soundtrack for drama called "Unnatural". His other drama soundtracks, will be song like Pale Blue, Kanden & Sayonara Mata Itsuka
Unnatural was how I got introduced to Kenshi Yonezu. I mean, I heard about him before, but Lemon at the end of every episode of this show made me fall in love with his voice. Then I looked up his other songs and asked myself, how I never gave him a proper listen before. The man is a legend
As kenshi yonezus self proclaimed #1 fan I have to say he has absolutely 0 misses. I love all of his music and just yesterday he dropped the digital release of his song “sayonara mata itsuka” which I am absolutely obsessed with rn. I love seeing people react to kenshi yonezu beyond his anime openings
Kenshi's fanbase in S.Korea actually pretty huge. Not much of Korean are fans of Kpop, and Kenshi himself have been around even before Kpop idols getting popular.
@@reiya409 kenshi is only 33, so that's not true really, kpop started in 1996 and got big around 2003 with many of the most legendary kpop groups debuting between 2005-2008, while kenshi came out around 2008/09. But korean charts always have 5-6 kpop songs in the top 10 mixed with ballad and occasionally some japanese song (like last year with idol). Kpop then internationally grew pretty big over the next 9 years till bts gave it a massive boost in popularity around 2017
@@triplej8666 Yes I know. Kpop was formed inspired by Jpop group called SMAP. and well, here I said "before they getting popular". We all knew that Kpop started getting popular in their 3rd generation. I am a fan of the 2nd generation myself, so I know how rare Kpop fans by that time. True that before the 3rd generation some of them were very popular in Japan but not globally. For example artist like Rain, Boa & TVXQ. However at that time, even Korean themselves wasn't fond of Kpop. It was one of the reason why they had to promote themselves outside S.Korea. I don't know about your country, but here in South East Asia, Jpop used to be so popular. Artist like Utada Hikaru, L'arc-en-Ciel, Bump of Chicken, Hachi/Kenshi were admired the most. And yeah, even in his early career, Kenshi has been known of being a genius. Now, we have a lot of popular Jpop artists. And the person himself has been 15 years in the industry. So, there's reason why people called him as King of Jpop. Not just in current time, even since a long time ago, Japan music industry has always been dominated by company of idols group. Unlike now when we have a lot of streaming platforms for music marketing, physical cd was the only one. It's like taboo for musicians to selling more copies than idols groups and here, Kenshi was literally the one who broke that curse. Fight toe to toe with every single popular idols groups. Even yesterday, he's once again proved himself by beating popular Idol group like Arashi, Snowman & BTS in Reiwa Album Selling Awards.
This is from a Japanese fan. I’ve loved him since this song blew up, and I come back every few months. It’s amazing. His other songs are also amazing. No lie Spirits of the sea, flamingo, loser, peace sign, saint maria I can’t fit them all in. Honestly speaking I recommend all of it. Btw. Flowers put usually something you would put on one’s coffin, which is probably why they’re all in a church. How Yonezu san is in heels is probably the women’s things left behind when she died.
This song in Japan hits like HAAAAARD!, broke a lot of records on the oricon list (like billboard list for japan), I think is stills the song with more consecutive weeks in the Oricon 100
I highly recommend you checking out Canary and Uma to Shika. They're my top 3 favorites songs from Kenshi Yonezu, along with Lemon. His talent is unmatched, I'm sure you'll like this discovery journey!
Please react "Kenshi Yonezu - Himawari" this song another test for quick review audiophile gear. Because this song so complex, dynamics, good recording, etc... Please react this song, its so recomended
Some of the video might be in reverse, but I think the part where her hair rises is just because she leans over an air vent or something similar. The baggy clothing she's wearing also adds to the "off" feeling of her dance moves.

@@ramgonz1005 You're welcome, I hope my commentary is easy to savvy.
THIS Song served as an theme song for an hit Japanese TV series called "UNNATURAL"
incredible show, a must watch
I recommend listening to FLAMINGO. It’s not one of the most famous song by kenshi but it’s so good, it deserves!

It's currently topping ITunes Music Single Top100
I really think he is a genius. His songs usually get over 100 million views.……Please give us your reactions to his other songs!
Thanks, will have to look at more of him.
So many Korean Idols covered this song and that's how I discovered him. Amazing talent, thanks for your reaction.

間違いなく、彼の曲の中で1番売れました🍋そしてこの女性のダンスは、逆再生をしています✨
This song was definitely a best seller🍋 And this dance of hers is played backwards✨
They want to go back, but they can't🥲
この曲は日本の「アンナチュラル」というテレビドラマの為に作られました。
恋人が犯罪に巻き込まれて亡くなり、その謎を追い求める解剖医の物語。
One of my fave songs
I feel like little bits of her dancing are going on reverse. That or she is really good at marionette dancing.

Thank you! He has many great song. But Please Please hear! My First Story(vocal Hiro)「See You Again」(cover)
and him.. usung such high heels in ease
It might be a reverse playback video.

both are really good songs
Kenshi is my all time favorite singer. He is beyond perfection. Might be his biggest fan in the USA. ❤❤❤
