I feel the same, my friend! Honestly, though, I feel blessed to have been born when I was to be able to watch these Star Trek shows as an adolescent in first-run. Thank you for checking out the video and subscribing!!!!

I love Voyager. I don't remember hearing about it until late 1994, but my grandparents taped "Caretaker" for my family as we lived out in a rural area, and didn't get the channel Voyager was going to air on. I live in Canada, and Voyager didn't air here until Saturday, January 21st, 1995. So I remember sitting down with my parents, my brother (he wasn't quite 4 yet), and my sister (she wasn't quite 5 yet) and watching the episode on the VHS given to us by my grandparents. I had just turned 8 in December, 1994. However, my sister and I watched Voyager together during the show's final two seasons, and then, it was on in reruns after school on weekdays while I was in high school and I had a friend who wasn't a fan of Star Trek but she loved Voyager, so we'd talk on the phone while watching the reruns after school. This was in 2002 to 2003 or 2004, so Enterprise was airing in its original run at the time, and I had a TV in my room by that point, so I could just sit in my room and watch the show with my friend on the phone.

I discovered Voyager through reruns, but it’s my favorite Trek series. There’s two characters it could have definitely done without - Paris and Kim - but otherwise, a wonderful cast with great chemistry. I think the reason it resonated with me was that I always thought a ship actually going where no one (human) had gone before was the embodiment of Roddenberry’s vision. Nice video. Thanks!

This was a lot of fun to listen to - one of the best insights I've heard came from Kate Mulgrew herself in her autobiography, 'Born With A Full Set Of Teeth' - the complete audiobook read by her is available for free on TH-cam.
