I love Sweetwater...but what makes the most difference is having a sales engineer. Toni Bush-Nord is mine and she's the best. Any questions or advice are addressed with unqualified satisfaction. Thanks Sweetwater and Toni!
The one thing that sticks out to me in every single video I've watched of Sweetwaters guitar gallery, is the overwhelming amount of boxes that say Epiphone on them. From Kramers to Montana built acoustics, and everything in between. I Wonder what the percentage of products under the Gibson umbrella is, in what's probably the world's largest guitar gallery? Gotta be 25-30%. Awesome.
Good question! It does of course less about what they ‘sell’ and more what people are ‘buying’. There’s a ton of videos online taking about what amazing value Epiphone are for instance
Although I hate that Mom & Pop shops have all but died, Sweetwater is such an amazing team and company. Hopefully the ownership change keeps what made them great!
These tour videos of Sweetwater were cool. I just ordered a new bass from them last night and was curious about their operation since I was able to actually pick the serial number, etc. Found lots of videos on YT when I searched for a Sweetwater tour but clicked the ones you had up super fast and first because I love the videos you do.
I get most of my music equipment from Sweetwater as I don't think any other online site has come close to the experience and service that I've been given by them. The personalized picture system for guitars is so cool. Prices are great. The demo listings are a huge money saver and they are extremely open about why the item is considered a demo with ZERO surprises. Shipping is instant. I have a personal Sweetwater agent that calls me and emails me to confirm purchases and check in on how I like the gear that I bought. Also can't forget the candy bag!
From here in the UK I always somehow thought that Sweetwater was named after a town called Sweetwater in Florida! But get this, during the lockdown I tried to get a guitar shipped via Sweetwater to the UK but was told they don’t ship overseas so all this mountain of gear is I presume destined for for the home US market! That gives an indication of the size of the USA.
Totally outstanding !! Great vid Warren, I bet you were blown away.... Every purchase I have made from Sweetwater came with a check of my total satisfaction from them. They are a superior company !!!
i walked in off the street with a fender strat that i'd bought used from a guitar center. i'd changed the strings and cleaned it up. the guitar tech i talked to about it spent SO long adjusting the set up for me while we talked about the guitar -- it was amazing. I played a lot of other guitars that day and bought a new ride cymbal for my daughter's elec. drum kit. fantastic day. oh, yeah, has anyone mentioned the french fries? ; ) and i'm a model of restraint: i only have nine guitars in the house! also: just mentioned this to my daughter, this process explains A LOT about how clean and playable all the guitars in the showroom always are! Brilliant! (have you ever gone into a guitar center and picked a popular model off the wall and noticed how grubby and disgusting it was only to have the sales guy tell you about how they change the strings once a month on all the guitars in the store? "Pants on fire!")
Pretty amazing to see all this. I have always heard about Sweetwater's inspection process, but i didn't know about the customization or Plekking options, which are great. If I was going to buy a brand new guitar online, I'd probably go with Sweetwater if they carried that specific guitar. It's a massive operation. The scale of what they're doing is much bigger than whatever I had in my head. Very interesting vide. Thanks Warren!
