Hey Charmer Kudos 👏🏻, You're doing a great job... Some of your videos serves as a refresher and i love them. Kindly point me to your discord server link, would like to join you and other IT Geeks over there. Thanks
Thank you for a special episode, as usual, but it contains a lot of new information for me, which encouraged me to repeat all the episodes and give them practical training. Thank you again for your effort and time.
Thanks for Sharing! you're a wealth of knowledge (I will have to recap this video several times as i have other posts of yours, i'm a slow learner, lol) I have a question for my knowledge, in a network can this be done from a wireless PC, or does it have to be Hard Wired? Thank You!
You're very welcome!! Don't worry just keep practicing so it will become natural to you later on. It took me a lot of practice too. Yes this can be on WiFi. I'm actually on WiFi when I was recording the videos
8:48 you probably already know this but if you leave reconnect at sign-in checked then the network drive automatically gets mapped again after a reboot. it kind of sounded like you thought it meant that the pc would force you to sign in again after mapping the drive.
Hello.. Thank you again, I am also working in IT Field from 5 years until now, and I love to create a collaboration with different people and culture to exchange knowledge and Science so please if you have any group or chat discussion I will be very grateful to join, also if I can help in any thing I will.

Good evening, East Charmer. I want to say a huge thank you for your videos. I encountered a problem while creating the file services . This is the error"The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship". Please , how can it be resolved because I can't login using my admin or local credentials.
can I specify the amount of MB that a user o group or users can store in SHARED? that should be a GPO right? SHARED has 1gb and can't store audio or videos. only the users of europe can modify it. how can I specify that every user can only store 100 MB? thanks for the video. I am learning a lot
You're welcome! That's a great question. Yes you can set a limit to the Shared Folders for a group (but not for a user) You can do this by creating a Group account in Active Directory for HR group for example. You can do this through File Server Resource Manager and create a quota for the HR group. I am not sure though if you can set a limit for every user in the group. I haven't seen that yet but I could be wrong
I am facing an issue in network drive map i maped a network through an ip domain user wise but the the user get randum disconnet the network drive why ?? please help...
Is your client machine domain joined in the same server where the shared folder is? Did you set the permission to share with domain users? How are you connecting the folder? mapping or GPO?
@@EastCharmer I did exactly what you did in all your videos in the series. The mapped folder worked great but the network drive with GPO I just cant make it to appear in the client machine.
@@ilikebeer8537 Permissions for the folder and shared permissions as shown in the video. My problem was that I made the changes but somehow didnt stick.
Thank you. how can you restore a file in case a user deleted it by mistake please? also how can you backup this drive ? what is the difference between map drive and network drive please?
Thanks for another great video. Query: who decides what permissions/rules needs to be applied to users.... Is it the admins themselves or head of departments?
Where does it say it's allowed to be persistent coz I might have missed that. It just says "reconnect at sign-in" , "connect using different credentials" and finish when it was mapped manually
one of the best videos i have seen on file sharing over a network and file services. Thank you so much
Wow, thanks! I really appreciate it! You're welcome! Hopefully I can add more to this series

I can't make the network folder appear in the clients PC. I tried everything, and made sure I don't have typos. I am so frustrated , I am beyond mad.

Great one, can we have a video about IIS for SMTP service
Thank you! Will try!
😊😊😊
The Share drive was not persistent because you unselected the option to allow to be persistent when you were configuring shared folder
Where does it say it's allowed to be persistent coz I might have missed that. It just says "reconnect at sign-in" , "connect using different credentials" and finish when it was mapped manually
If you right click 'Add a network location' rather than 'Map network drive' it remains persistent. Mapped network drives disappear after restart
Implement DHCP naman po pleeeeeeeeeeease po :))
nice video, please can you make a video on adding a linux system to a windows active directory domain?
I can make that at the end of the Windows Series
