      Hi Ranvir,
      Heirarchical relationships are only for user object. Not for any other object except user object

    i have a doubt from lookup Relationship is [I HAVE A CREATED LOOKUP RELATIONSHIP ON ONE OBJECT OK THAT I WANT TO CONVERT INTO MASTER-DETIALE RELATIONSHIP ?]

    • @RishabhSharma-kq8go
      @RishabhSharma-kq8go 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can convert lookup to MDR but firstly you need to associate all the child records to parent records i.e master then you can edit and change it.
      2nd method delete all the records under child object and then you can convert to MDR easily

    hey i got this error when i create master field on junction object again
    help me to resolve this
    You cannot create a new Master-Detail relationship on an existing custom object if records already exist. You must first create a Lookup relationship, populate the lookup field with data in all records, and then change the relationship type to Master-Detail

    • @SFAgents
      @SFAgents 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      First you have to create lookup relationship field in the object then you have to fill data in lookup field in all records in that object. Then only you can change it to master detail relationship. Finally you can use that as junction object.

    45:33 I think created by time is not right answer I have checked in my master and details object ..junction object created by time is current time please correct if i am not right

    • @pracheechandrakar6220
      @pracheechandrakar6220 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I checked it too...didnt understand the concept of created by time in identification of primary master rel.
      although you can go to workbench for more details.

    • @kishoresuryadevara8587
      @kishoresuryadevara8587 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pracheechandrakar6220 Yes that answer is not right. Please look at below info for the right answer. I tried myself and I can find out easily which one created first and which one later. developer.salesforce.com/forums/?id=9060G0000005MDwQAM
      If you go to workbench.developerforce.com in another tab in the same browser window as your logged in Salesforce instance, you should be able to see which is primary and which is secondary.
      1. Check the "I agree to the terms of service" box and click Login with Salesforce.
      2. Choose "Standard and Custom Objects" in the "Jump to" picklist.
      3. Choose your object with the 2 master-detail relationships in the "Object" picklist.
      4. Expand the "Fields" folder by clicking on the folder icon.
      5. Expand both of the master-detail field's folders.
      6. Look at the "Relationship Order" parameter for both of the fields.
      The field where Relationship Order equals 0 is the Primary and the field where Relationship Order equals 1 is the Secondary.

    • @SFAgents
      @SFAgents 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to the Fields & relationships in junction object, then click on master detail relationship fields and see in fields information section created by field will be available. There you can find the date and time that field creation. I hope this will be helpful for you.

      Hierarchical Relationship is a special type of 'Self Relationship' which is only applicable for 'User' object

    hii sir i have a doubt please reply
    here batch object as child for course object so batch owner feild is deleted but in other case batch object as parent for "student in batch" object so i think this is a problem

    • @SalesforceHulk
      @SalesforceHulk  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this scenerio the owner field will be taken from the course object as course is the parent of batch object

    In a junction object can we have only one Master detail relationship field instead of two master detail relationship field?
    If yes can we call it as junction object

    • @LalchandRawatVlogs1
      @LalchandRawatVlogs1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No Junction object is created when we require more than one many to many relationships

    • @SFAgents
      @SFAgents 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. If one master detail relationship field is available in one object, then that relationship is one to many/many to one relationship. Junction object concept came into existence when we want to create many to many relationship only. In many to many we need 2 master detail relationship fields in junction object.

  • @BalajiBalaji-jv1gt
    @BalajiBalaji-jv1gt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When there is many to many relation ship why not creat the lookup relationship in junctuin objecy

    • @shashikumar-rw1zc
      @shashikumar-rw1zc ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We create lookup relationship when the two objects are stand-alone objects means none of them control each other . But here student and group objects controlling student in group object so when we control the behaviour of another object we create master detail only here two objects controlling one object so two master detail relationships created if there is no control of behaviour then we can create lookup
