- She's the hairdresser convicted of killing her co-worker, Joleen Cummings, in 2018. Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper said yesterday Kimberly Kessler's departure is the start of a celebration.

Exactly what I was thinking I actually feel sorry for her. I can tell just by the way she held her gaze that she is a mental patient, in the way she looked around when she was in the courtroom in that wheel chair, that woman had no idea where she was or why she was there.
Yes she did some horrible things but that's no reason for her to get treated the way she did. Disgusting.

If she was that mental she should be in a mental facility not out working at a hair salon. I think it’s kinda strange that she was playing a lot of games. Claiming that her attorney is related and she needs a new this and new that but when the time came she sure knew how to act crazy and start screaming and so forth. A lot of it is games she is playing

Call me harsh but people sentenced to life who have proven they can not participate in a civilized society should be put down instead of housed on our dime.
I agree , I used to live by there and was there when I saw police at the hair salon . It is better to rid the world of them no mental health can help some .
Unfortunately it costs taxpayers more due to many appeals than it costs to incarcerate them for life. Just amazing .

They have a unit at San Quentin SP that is called the “Adjustment Center”. I’ll bet the Florida State Prison has its own version and I’ll bet it is beyond harsh. I once sent a guy on a bus ride from hell where he was mistakenly transferred from one prison to another for 2 weeks. He never saw a bed or a hot meal the whole time. If you think cops in prison are mean just wait till you piss off a lifer convict clerk. And she is definitely going to piss off some convicts.

This story is very sad all the way around from every angle. Not only Joleen Cummings was lost but the family’s lives shattered. This is including the killer’s life as well. So many lives affected by one person’s actions. Hopefully one day Kessler might confess or someone out there may find Cummings’ remains to bring closure to the family and friends.

Of COURSE the court looked into the claim, and found no evidence as such..... If you get life sentence there should be a option for death if you want it to save tax $ ! It is almost like they want the inmates alive for some reason !
Unfortunately for death penalty is very expensive for tax payers so that’s why in cases like this people get the life without parole it’s much more cheaper to keep them alive

@Denise Bendickson They won't put her in GP right away, at least. a) She's high-profile, b) there are psychiatric concerns, and c) frequently when someone gets a long sentence like that they'll keep them under close supervision for a few months/weeks to make sure she's not going to try to kill herself. She certainly won't immediately be placed into GP, if at all.
