its 2024 now and when I started listening to this I was 32 now I am turning 44 this year. Went from listing by myself to listing with my two children... time flies people keep living life you only live once!
I've been listening to this for 4 years now. Coming back here every year multiple times, and just... listening I'm glad to hear I'm not the only whose heart has a special place for this mix.
It’s really crazy how fast time fly’s. I’m 27 years old I’ve been listening to this since I was 17 18 years young. Me and my mom. This is her playlist !!❤❤❤❤
10 years ago, this mix helped me get through my issues and suicidal thoughts. Now a decade later, listening takes a different meaning. I got my life together and have all the things I didn’t think I’d have. Never give up, it always gets better.
congrats on getting through it mate. Had a buddy in high school hang himself over some silly HS breakup. Such a thoughtful, kind dude, it's been 10 years and I wonder what kind stellar man he would be now.
@@AffectiveApe Hey, while experiencing a very seriously heartbreaking breakup can lead to suicidal thoughts and actions it is more likely he suffered from ongoing mental pain for a long time before the breakup. So it's not just "a silly breakup". And even if the breakup was the only reason - it wasn't "silly"for him.
@calebvogt Thanks man. It was never easy, and I couldn’t have done it without support. Funny thing is now those thoughts seem so silly when they used to cloud my entire mind. I’m sorry about your buddy. It’s heartbreaking watching someone lose that fight.
@DaSilverTitan every single thing happens for the best, Always. Unless if its self inflicted like taking drugs or drinking too much etc. Glad you're in a good place that you can look back to the past as it being silly, it made you who you are now. May you always find hapiness my brother/sister 💚
I listened to this 10 years ago when I was homeless and going through a panic attack from alcohol. I didn't know at the time but the man holding his child's hand is the Lord. Throughout my life I had tried to end it all because of my pain. Today I am grateful to be alive and I have the answers I didn't know I needed. I know why I am here and now I can help those who have faced a similar life. I also know that even though it is a dark time in the world, there approaches hope.
Twelves years later, I still don't have any words to express how much I feel inside me when I listen to this mix. Nostalgia, memories, young time, unique moments, high time, summer love. I will always remember this mix forever. Thank you for these precious moment of chillstep and what you inspired us. Seeing all these commentary feels me so sad and so happy at the same time. I hope everybody who got the same feelings are okay in your life.
Cannot believe it's been over ten years I've been listening to this mix, and nostalgia has only enhanced my emotional response to these tracks. I throw this mix on, and suddenly I'm a late teenager in the car with all my closest friends heading off on our next adventure. I'm drifting to sleep safe in my mother's home. Its in my headphones as I walk a slowly winding dirt path through a pine forest. It's late in my bedroom as I am studying and focusing on homework. I'm continuing the vibes after returning from a night out of live music, unwilling to come down. Some of my best and some of my worst parts of my life were experienced to this soundtrack. Thank you. Just thank you.
The mix is amazing but listening and reading the comments just warms my heart. I don't know any of you but we are all connected by this uplifting music. Can you imagine if we all got together in one place . Hugged and chatted about how this music got us through those tough times. X
For the last 5 years this mix has been my favorite one for whenever I needed to focus studying for exams. I'm studying a double degree in Aeroespace Engineering and Telecomunications Engineering. I was due to finish this year, and I always thought that the last day of study before my last exam I should put this mix in the background, just for the memories. Then, Coronavirus happened, and my university decided that we should take our exams online. So instead of having my last day of studying with this mix, I actually DID the exam with this mix on the background. I was really nervous, but as soon as it started playing, I focused like it was just another boring afternoon. I got a 10. Exams are over now, forever. Thank you, MrSuicideSheep.
I've been having a really bad day. So I decided to go for an hour drive in the mountains while playing this song and let me just say the beautiful scenery with the snow capped pine trees, crisp air, powdery snow, and this music playing in the background put me a level a peace I have never experienced before. My bad day was cured and I instantly gained the confidence to go back out there and conquer this day!!!! :)
I remember listening to this mix back in Highschool feeling so lost and lonely because I just moved to the US. I remember having this mix on repeat. At the time I thought it was so beautiful. Something I never heard before. and helped me through a tough time. At the time no one understood this music not even my friends, not even myself. But I felt the power in its beauty. Now 10 years later, this mix inspired me to become a melodic house music producer and dj. :) thank you sheepy❤❤
I was also inspired by this music a long time ago in high school and felt similarly. This and a few other mixes inspired me to try to learn production as well. I haven't always been consistent with it, but always find joy in it and that's what matters I suppose. Would love to hear anything of yours that you've made or mixed if you're willing to share friend!
Even as a full grown man I can't listen to this mix anymore without tearing up. So many memories both happy and sad associated with these mixes. Thanks for raising me with good music I love you. 💚
dahclassics Thanks for the grammar reminder. I keep forgetting that it is not "a historic" but "an historic", just like you wrote in your comment :-) It's something I never seem to get right!
I remember listening to this mix back in 2014/15. I was happy and I didnt know, I was learning english back those days, playing volleyball for my country, travelling all the places as an athlete. Last year I was in the army as a private. My life changed so much in such small period of time. This mix is the only thing I can remember back those days, every single time I'm in a bad situation, lost in my thoughts, trying to figure out my next move I come back to this mix. It is definately my safe spot in this world. Quick toughts about the world nowadays, a virtual place is a safe spot for a real person to forget about the entire world, the poverty, wars, and all the misery is happening around the globe now. If you are in the same situation as me, we are going to get better soon, we must continue our journey, nobody is going to help us unless we help ourselves first. I believe in you, do you believe in yourself as I believe?
Might sound strange, but I discovered this mix a couple of years ago when I was going through a really rough time in my life, and I believe it somehow helped me get through it a little easier. I used to listen to it every day during that time. Now when I hear it, it still brings me a sense of calmness. I'm also really grateful that I'm no longer in that bad place.
I've felt happiness since July 2022 - quite a lot, actually. But this takes me back to a different type of happiness. More innocence. No impending doom. No constant anxiety. A slower pace, but with more energy, hope & unrestricted Love from everyone. Such a beautiful time & I hope you all were blessed to be a part of it - every bass drop, every melody
It's music like this that makes you believe in yourself and that tomorrow will be a better day. No matter how you feel at the moment, let these sounds bring a relief and take you to next level of yourself. Sometimes we just have to break ourselves and build a new higher standard!
Everybody says they get a 100% focus on their studies when listening to this, but for me I'm 100% focusing on these songs leaving my notes lying on the table......
I came back here to find just a little peace in all the chaos and uncertainty going on in this world right now. This mix and the Summer Chords Electro House mix are probably my two favorite sheepy mixes to this day. Much love to everyone in this difficult time.
Found this mix probably almost 10 years ago when it was posted. This was what I listened to when I was trying to focus and build things with code. This gave me the inspiration to get things done, to get in the zone. These days I'm a senior software engineer and have "made it". This playlist helped me through all of that and is quite literally one of the best!
I listened to this and other 'taking you higher' when I was studying for the entry exam of our Business school. Now I'm finishing my Master's! Time flies make the best of it!
I remember finding this masterpiece back in 2012 when I just gout out of high school it has always helped me through some of the hardest moments from now to then
Since 2014 I have done a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and now a PhD in Psychology ALL while listening to these 'Taking You Higher' Mixes. Unbelievable.
Brings me back to 2013 when i was mentally preparing myself for the final exams in highschool.. Almost 10 years ago. Still listening to this amazing mix when i am stressed out ❤

So many memories with this mix. I've played it countless times doing all sorts of things, it's taken quite the part in my childhood & still going. Best vibes, best memories, best times!!
@@jenro7 Fair enough, but it's different when 10 years ago is as long as half of your life. The older we get, every extra year takes up less of our life, and even feels like so. Isn't this why time "seems to speed up"? Anyway, hope I've made my point :)
This is the best mix ever - I get shivers every time I hear that intro. Reminds me of Tenerife carnival holidays I went on in 2013 - lazing on top deck of a small yacht in the sun, with dolphins swimming all around and a light breeze to remind you you're in paradise, all while listening to this mix. Bliss :3 I went through this mix several times then and it's hands down the best holiday mix around. Stark contrast to UK summertime - dark, cloudy, raining and muggy. Gives you a bit of cheer amidst all the gray.
Truly grateful to receive support for our "Move On" and "Diamond Beach" releases. A special congratulations to Sheepy for 15 million plays on this mix as well.
So happy this came back in my feed. It's been over 10 years since I've listened to this. It's like a time machine in my brain. Thank you for all your hard work making these.
24:36 "A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." Idk how many times I've listened to this mix and only now I noticed that Gandalf's line is in there. Awesome!
Oh god. I just saw this mix again. Unbelievable that about 9 years passed away since i've listened the first time. Thanks that this awesome mix is still alive.
6:32 this was one of the first few songs I found on SoundCloud. while my tastes have changed vastly over the years i was so happy to hear it tonight while listening to this mix. Thanks for the Nostalgia hit
10 years ago, I was in a very stressful job. I was so grateful I found this mix. It helped me put my nose down and focus on my work. Today, the job is still really stressful, but I have broadened my horizons to include several more mixes that give me the energy to power through every day. But this one's the original. Thank you for opening my ears to progressive house.
There is a bird outside my window singing to this song, it's beautiful. I know I'm not tripping because I paused it and it kept singing. It was just so in tune with the remix.. Nature and music combined is absolutely breathtaking!
This mix is straight ecstasy for my ears! Probably my favorite progressive house mix that I return to every time I have to study... (end up dancing) Thank you!!!
Middledistancerunner to Need to Feel Loved…. Wow. Talk about the feels - completely forgot about both of those tracks, hearing them back-to-back is epic. Damn I feel old. So much more I could have done with my life back when I first heard these songs. Hindsight is always 20/20 I suppose.
Still holds up after all these years. You'll probably never read this, but I'm proud of you Sheepy. I remember back in the early 2010s when you were just another obscure TH-cam music channel that no one else in my city had ever heard of. Now you're hitting millions with uploads! Hope you're life is full of happiness and wonder wherever you are right now.
This here got me through so many sleepless nights when I was in a dark place in 2012. It also made me be more open minded with music too and I still listen to it today in 2020. Thank you mrsuicidesheep❤️
I used to blast these while traveling around Europe as a tour guide. Great memories. Reminds me of a good evening with good people on a beach in Croatia.

Fun Fact: This lyrics and the origin of this song comes from the short "horror" story of the same name (The Veldt by Ray Bradbury). If you have the time, you should read it (you can online), it makes the song much more meaningful! Also, if you liked The Veldt, you should hear some of Deadmau5's other stuff, he's pretty good when it comes to progressive house (I would recommend "There Might Be Coffee").
+predatorsc1992 /using this as my study music while cramming for midterm, gotta love those long mixes that help you forget about time and focus on studying
I discovered this mix back in early 2013 sat alone in my bedroom with just a small lamp on at about 4am. Let’s just say that certain things that night had heightened my senses and every time I hear this now I just look back with nostalgia and happiness at the sheer euphoria I felt in that moment. Towards the end of the mix the sun started to come up which only added to the experience.
Please don’t ever take this video down, this mix has been my best friend with me across the country since 2012

+zukilover2 i waz trashing a hotel room until 6 am listening to this song...
Hit the beach where NOBODY else is at 3am by myself, sound of water, and this playing lightly. 100 percent mind power
So many memories with this mix. I've played it countless times doing all sorts of things, it's taken quite the part in my childhood & still going. Best vibes, best memories, best times!!
Please, don't exaggerate. 10 years ago isn't THAT far.
@@jenro7 Fair enough, but it's different when 10 years ago is as long as half of your life. The older we get, every extra year takes up less of our life, and even feels like so. Isn't this why time "seems to speed up"? Anyway, hope I've made my point :)
No need for words
i see you everywhere omg even in this channel lol
batman too xD
ya i see him alot too xD
its easy... every youtuber comment on everything to promote himself ...

What about FalconLoverxxXxxX?

Meeee. So many good memories and a ton of nostalgia for me from these tunes
5 months later that comment will be no longer relevant
My favourite playlist series, first stumbled across it when I needed something good to write my uni dissertation to. 5 years later, still slaps!
Brings back memories of my trip to London England, riding my bike with this song playing with absolutely no care in the world.
Cheers from Canada!
Should of gone to Scotland
This is the best mix ever - I get shivers every time I hear that intro. Reminds me of Tenerife carnival holidays I went on in 2013 - lazing on top deck of a small yacht in the sun, with dolphins swimming all around and a light breeze to remind you you're in paradise, all while listening to this mix. Bliss :3
I went through this mix several times then and it's hands down the best holiday mix around. Stark contrast to UK summertime - dark, cloudy, raining and muggy. Gives you a bit of cheer amidst all the gray.
Spot on
It's been almost 8 years since this playlist was released.... Who else is still alive?
Still surviving mate. A lot going on in the world, but we got this!
still here bro cheers
here 🙋♂
11 years now ❤️ such a beautiful time it was!
4 years later and still as beautiful as the first time I listened. I know this mix is going to stick with me for the rest of my life.
at some point you will read this in 2030
I don’t know when this point will be but I would guess sometime in the spring of 2029
if i can live to 2070, i still can read this line
I will be here. I promise
Hope so ❤
Almost there fam
Truly grateful to receive support for our "Move On" and "Diamond Beach" releases. A special congratulations to Sheepy for 15 million plays on this mix as well.
:DD

So happy this came back in my feed. It's been over 10 years since I've listened to this. It's like a time machine in my brain. Thank you for all your hard work making these.
24:36 "A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."
Idk how many times I've listened to this mix and only now I noticed that Gandalf's line is in there. Awesome!
I've heard this mix probably 10 times and NEVER noticed! Thanks for posting!
Oh god. I just saw this mix again. Unbelievable that about 9 years passed away since i've listened the first time. Thanks that this awesome mix is still alive.
I've heard this track about 3 years ago. So glad I’m still here to enjoy the awesome sound
...paging you to come back and listen to this again......
How can a mix be this good for over 10 years!!!!!
Loving this since 2013 and its 2021..
Recent music are not as good as the old ones.
Welcome to getting older =-)
2022 now :)
I find myself coming back to this mix again and again for over 2 years now. Just heavenly tunes, mixed so well.
6:32 this was one of the first few songs I found on SoundCloud. while my tastes have changed vastly over the years i was so happy to hear it tonight while listening to this mix. Thanks for the Nostalgia hit
Yea dog, Blend & MH20 - Diamond Beach - great track, always at full tilt. Heals all wounds.
Probably the best mix I have ever heard. Love how upbeat it is!
5 years later, still the best mix on youtube.
There is a bird outside my window singing to this song, it's beautiful. I know I'm not tripping because I paused it and it kept singing. It was just so in tune with the remix.. Nature and music combined is absolutely breathtaking!
dan weas wooow!!! Which song was it 😄
The number of times I've listen to this since 2012 is absolutely insane. I would love to know how many of the same people on here have been loyalists.
Dear Spotify algorithms, I dare you to try to wrap this into a decade. Oh wait. you cant cause you weren't even BORN yet.
this is been on the rotation for me for a while now as well, still gets me daydreaming everytime Iisten.
Do they even make this type of progressive house anymore? 🥺🥺
This mix is straight ecstasy for my ears! Probably my favorite progressive house mix that I return to every time I have to study... (end up dancing) Thank you!!!
To appreciate mixes like this decent headphones are a good idea. ..
Who else came here to visit memory lane? Can't believe this mix was uploaded 11 years ago... It's crazy how music and memories walk hand in hand
7 years later I'm still grooving to this
I still remember listening this mix while spending 6 months of my life in Antigua in 2013 😂
Heard entirely for about 8-9 times... I never get tired 😍😍
Hope everyone realizes Rameses B put this mix together... is it any wonder it's so amazing?

asif khokhar Hey, no need to start slandering white people now. Who's being a racist bigot now?
Still holds up after all these years. You'll probably never read this, but I'm proud of you Sheepy. I remember back in the early 2010s when you were just another obscure TH-cam music channel that no one else in my city had ever heard of. Now you're hitting millions with uploads! Hope you're life is full of happiness and wonder wherever you are right now.
This here got me through so many sleepless nights when I was in a dark place in 2012. It also made me be more open minded with music too and I still listen to it today in 2020. Thank you mrsuicidesheep❤️
if youre in a dark location, just turn on the lights! Sorry for bad English
Same thing here! Wonderful mix 💜
Its crazy this was already 10 years ago... Damn I am getting old..
Everytime I feel depressed, this fixes the problem.
Thanks MrSuicideSheep for that :)
take me away! no matter how stressed i am ...somehow this mix melts me. I have shivers overtime I turn it on. Thank you , i needed this xoxo
I was having a rough year when I discovered this in 2012. Thanks for putting this mix together. It’s magical.
I used to blast these while traveling around Europe as a tour guide. Great memories. Reminds me of a good evening with good people on a beach in Croatia.
I always listen to this when I make homework
I'm listening to this while I'm doing my homework.

haha like this xD
Fun Fact: This lyrics and the origin of this song comes from the short "horror" story of the same name (The Veldt by Ray Bradbury). If you have the time, you should read it (you can online), it makes the song much more meaningful!
Also, if you liked The Veldt, you should hear some of Deadmau5's other stuff, he's pretty good when it comes to progressive house (I would recommend "There Might Be Coffee").
Dr. Funkenstein also I Rembember is damn good ;)
Why do I always come back to this whenever I need to study or get some work done?
The transition into Constant Sorrow has got to be one of the best transitions I've ever heard, Always brings me back
8 years ago this was put out... Trance is timeless
This is probably my favorite mix ever. I could listen to it all the time.
Saaaaaaame here!
Fresco I
Especially since its over an hour long!
barry carslake شبات
Been subscribed to this channel since Sheep had 15k subscribers. I still listen to this mix when studying/researching :)
predatorsc1992 studying now and listening lol
predatorsc1992 been subbed for about 3 months, didnt look at his sub count. but still releases gr8 music.
predatorsc1992 Same. How did he get so many subs that quick.
Kim S people came across his vids thru youtubers and montage makers mostly but some found it by looking for some songs that sheepy here has uploaded.
+predatorsc1992 /using this as my study music while cramming for midterm, gotta love those long mixes that help you forget about time and focus on studying
felt like yesterday that i found this channel... its been over 10 years... time flies surely...
For sure
I discovered this mix back in early 2013 sat alone in my bedroom with just a small lamp on at about 4am. Let’s just say that certain things that night had heightened my senses and every time I hear this now I just look back with nostalgia and happiness at the sheer euphoria I felt in that moment. Towards the end of the mix the sun started to come up which only added to the experience.
Same for me, i really love and come back on this !
Every song in this mix is just beautiful
This is simply incredible, this mix is just awesome. Love MrSuicideSheep.
From France
I feel like the DJ is the elder teaching me the young kid about awesome music. Like in the picture. The sunrise is the music.
The first mix I ever listened to. =) Can't believe it has been 8 years. Good times
