In today's video, my friends and I explore Japan's massive abandoned theme park known as Gluck Kingdom in Hokkaido, Japan!
History:
In 1989, amidst Hokkaido's lush scenery, the delightful Gluck Kingdom opened its gates. Inspired by the legendary tales of the Grimm Brothers, this magical park, nestled in nature's splendor, immediately enchanted its visitors with its fairytale essence.
Covering an expansive 30,000 square meters, Gluck Kingdom ascended to fame in the 1990s. It became a center of magic and wonder, attracting up to 700,000 visitors annually. The park's enchanting allure and mystical vibe resonated with its visitors, making it a favorite destination at its peak.
However, as the new millennium approached, Gluck Kingdom faced a downturn. The late 1990s saw a decrease in its allure, affected by economic challenges. Attempts to revitalize the park were hampered by high maintenance costs. In 2007, these financial burdens led to the closure of this once-dreamy kingdom, ending a magical era.
Post-closure, the kingdom was enveloped in a veil of mystery, with rumors of hauntings stemming from a tragic incident. These tales added to its mystique as one of Hokkaido's most haunted sites. The remains of Gluck Kingdom, now a ghostly echo of its former glory, became a destination for urban explorers and travelers, drawn to its eerie yet captivating ruins.

Videos like these makes you reflect how life is, that place one day running normal and the next day everything with a click of a key shuts off and stays like that for life. It’s sad to see places like that just stops in time.

We had a Bluebird when I was a kid during the early 90’s! My parents converted the boot/trunk into another row of seating but it faced towards the back of the vehicle. LOVED sitting back there as a kid and waving to all the people behind us 😂

I've had my Nissan for ten years. So far, it's still kicking. Never really liked Nissan, but it's going the distance. Every mile it gets closer to the 300,000 mark. I expect the alternator or transmission to take a 💩 but I can't say too many bad things about Nissan. It does have its issues. But they are fixable. Great, explore Steve and friends. It looks like you and your friends had fun with this one, and I can see why. I was just looking at the furniture etc. that was left behind, and that hotel looks like it was a nice one to stay in back in its time. I've got to admit, though, I was cringing at the sheer mold content! OMG, I feel like i need a Benadryl just watching it! 😆It's a shame it had to be shut down. I imagine a lot of families have happy memories connected with that theme park. But I suppose nothing was meant to last forever. I'm speechless!!!!! In Germany is the exact same Castle!!? (Schloss Bückeburg) i visited the castle a lot because of the Architecture. The dance hall is exactly the same with all the busts, the marble and decorations. 19:58

Steve, I first saw the car in Dan's video when he went here with Josh and Harmin. I Googled that the Bluebird was made from 1955 to 2007. In the US the Bluebird was sold as the Nissan Stanza. The Nissan Altima replaced the Bluebird in North America in 1992.

This video is sick and cool especially the feris wheel. The first building looks like a castle in Cinderella when he met the prince. Damn wish I can see this place too.
What a an amazingly beautiful place even the buildings the roof on the outside looks lovely amongst all the trees, loved the forest walk through as well. some one commented about poisonous mushroom these are just spores for spreading more mushroom around. Thanks Steve great video.

it reminds me of a clock tower of Spirited Away
I believe Hayao Miyazaki actually had an inspiration from this place
because if you remember, father of Chiciro told that the clock tower is probably one one this amusement thematic parks that were built in 90s, but then a lot went bankrupt.
for me this place is dope, thanks guys to go there and show us all this beauty
i hope one day some of these places will be reconstructed
My dad always drove a Nissan Bluebird back in the 80's. Was a nice luxury car back in the day. Brings me happy memories. This was in Scotland btw so very far from Japan lol 😊
