I think the downfall of the show was these three points:
    1. The change of directors.
    2. The change of writers.
    3. Deciding to change the whole show by concentrating on Henry....
All in all, I still loved the show and cant wait till its done so they can sell the COMPLETE series pack

Let’s not forget they kept changing the laws of magic, they abandoned story arcs, the show was at times unintentionally funny, they had great concepts but they executed it poorly(the Dark Swan and Underworld arc).

I actually thought they did well with henry growing up and taking on a greater role. To me, they got too stuck and wrote themselves in their own corners with plot lines, the stories between characters, and trying to use the curse formula over and over again.
While season 7 is definitely near the bottom of the barrel for me, I will give them credit for doing a refresh and trying to breathe some new energy into the series.

I stopped caring about Rumple's plot threads after season 3B. They should have left him dead having redeemed himself in his son's eyes. But no, they brought him back, and ever since then he's just a villain. You can NEVER trust him. At least before he was at war with himself, so sometimes he was on your side and sometimes he wasn't---but here he is literally NEVER on their side but they just KEEP TRUSTING HIM WTF

Honestly, I think the biggest problem is that went through storylines too quickly. There's only so many fairytales, and instead of taking their time exploring each one, they go through each character and tale extremely quickly. Many of the stories are barely touched. Therefore, as the seasons went on and they ran out of fairytales to explore, it became obvious that they were getting desperate and reaching for anything fictional, even if it didn't fit in with the "once upon a time" theme.

    • @WhiteRose2002
      @WhiteRose2002 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

And I really didn’t like how much they were relying on Disney, I think it would have been better if they a) explore the fairy tales already established in depth or b) look into more obscure fairy tales like Prince Lindworm or Yuki-Ona

The problem with the series is consistency. Season 1 was consistent (plot, vilain, etc). Season 2 was ok. Season 3 was also ok and season 4 started to look weird. After season 4 was bad.

I noticed flaws starting to show up in S2, I stopped enjoying the overall writing choices for the characters and storylines after the Neverland arc, and I finally gave up to preserve my sanity after S5. I could brush aside a FEW occasional instances of OOC behaviors, mischaracterizations, and reactions in the characters of OUAT up until the end of S5, but then I just couldn’t do it anymore because EVERY character’s characterization was so WILDLY inconsistent and plot-driven that it was difficult to make out who ANY of these characters, and impossible to predict what they would next or how they would react, particularly Rumplestiltskin, Belle, Emma, and Hook. If the story for the characters on the show actually started to make sense, and you began forming logical predictions in your head for the outcomes of those stories, it was never going to happen and the writers would usually end up asspulling some sort of painful and nonsensical twist that often required for the characters to become wildly OOC because, according to Eddy Kitsis’ “genius” storytelling “As always with this show, once the audience catches on to what we’re doing, we have to change it.”
I don’t know why so many television writers of drama soap operas and fantasies think that they are doing a “good” job by giving their audience whiplash for having hope, and getting emotionally/mentally invested in the characters and story they are telling by making drawing logical conclusions and making logical predictions. That’s just very cruel, disrespectful, and lazy storytelling that kills the audience’s enjoyment because they aren’t included in the process.

Love the series! Must disagree though ,my problem with the show at least is that it gets rid of characters without finishing plots for them. Like Lily or Mulan who just kind of get tossed aside. It was still a good show at least to me until season 7 which is just dreadful. Also if I remember correctly each season takes place in it's respective year at least until season 4ish where I believe they stopped putting the year in the time jumps.

Also it was completely pointless to kill Neal off. Like he was just killed off on season 2 comes back and then he dies again. And then the whole reason he wants resurrect his farther is so he can come back to the real world even though it took his father 100s of years to do so. Neal also said that he didn’t want to have to cast a curse to do so. So he dies being kinda stupid. It just made no sense to kill him. If they wanted to write him off they shouldn’t had him leave storybrooke or go on a mission. Like at-least leave the door open for him to return. Or if they are gonna kill him off. Spend like atleast somewhat of a season focusing on him and then kill him off with an actual sacrifice. Not dying so his father could speak one word that just lets them find out what to do just a couple episodes early.

I love Ouat. I do agree there are A LOT of logical errors....... here are just a few that I found
    1. In season 3 when Henry and Emma get their memories wiped of the town, and they think that Emma never gave Henry up, it’s unlikely for Emma to name Henry the same name his adopted mother would give him.
    2. In season 6 when the wish realm was created, there is no way Henry would exist, since his dad is Neal (Baelfire). Bae when through a portal in to the real world when he was younger. Which happened way before the curse. Rumple wouldn’t have wanted to cast a curse if his son was still in the enchanted forest, so Regina wouldn’t have a curse to cast.
    3. Emma Swan never showed any signs of aging in season 7 even though it’s been a long time and Henry is all grown up.
Also, I did like season 7 but it was pretty much a different show with the same concept, but different characters... I think they should have just stopped it at season 6 tbh, cause that’s when Jen (Emma Swan) left the series.

I stopped after season 3 and this makes me feel justified in my distaste of the show. Robert Carlyle and Lana Parilla carried the damn show. So much went wrong with this. Season 1 was the best one and I should have seen that as a sign, because most shows if not all have okay or bad first seasons. The show had continuity issues and character development was all over the place. I don't think they knew what to do with Rumple. I guess they were trying to show he was an addict. I admit I'm not a Hook fan, but I felt like they rushed his development. Also, I genuinely want to know if SwanCaptain fans think about the fact that Hook could have been Bae's stepdad if Rumple hadn't killed Milah? I need it written down everyone's connection to each other!

With good reason, the some of the captainswan fans tend to say that hook was in the show in s1, which isn't true, and they basically wreck his development by making him take other people growth. Most of them being from Regina and Rumple, They did something good he get the credit, just for scoring point. I admit i hate hook with a passionn because so many people raised red flag about him, with good reason, which is kind of in tuned with the fact that he has basically no development. And i don't think the CS fans care about the fact the hook is bae's stepdad, they would just say that with SwanQueen, Regina is Emma great grand mother, even if the marriage was forced. Logic escape people and the writer after s3b

It was not a happy ending for them, it was only a happy beginning, and it wouldn't last in a revival, because of certain loose ends such as the murder of Charming's father. Heroes and murderers don't mix, no wonder it didn't boost numbers. This story will only end with David's father's killer killed off, along with the murderer of Henry's father, Zelena. Two unfinished storylines. Based on what Wish Henry said and pointed out, That story still needs an ending. And those would only work in a revival. Very predictable.

Violín Paradise it's because there are an infinite number of realms with different versions of each characters. In the season 7 opener, Henry explains that there are different books with a French Snow White and an Italian one. This is also why there's a new Alice in season 7 too. The biggest complaint I have is that it's implied that the main fairytale land of season 7 is called "the new enchanted forest". But a lot of stories and plot points stem from the wish realm. So is the story set in the new enchanted forest or the wish realm? Or are they the same thing?

    You got some things wrong:
    1. Dark One's power is not related to Black Fairy. Black Fairy exists more than 200 years and original Dark One came to be around 500 years in past.
    2. August and Emma were sent to Earth 28 years before events of season 1.
    3. Rumple's immunity to curses is nonexistent. The first Dark Curse gave him his Mr. Gold persona a his memories returned after hearing Emma's name in pilot I think. He was only immune to Spell of Shattered Sight as he adressed that his heart is already filled with darkness (or something like that).
    4. Once Rumple became Dark One again his darkness was low due to his own darkness was sucked into Sorcerer's hat. The reason he was dying in season 4 was because of his dark deeds over centuries, not his Dark One magic and status. So technically if he retained his dark life style he would suffer same dying experiences in distant future. (Why Peter Pan's and Black Fairy's heart did'nt stop is more of a plot hole here.)
    5. Enchanted hearts are physical embodiments of person's emotions and life force. If one's heart is removed from his chest he would cease to feel emotional pain and it also negates some emotions overall. When Snow split her heart she basically split her life force and revived David with it.
    6. The David resurrection by splitting hearts happened in season 3 as the ingredient for the Dark Curse vol.2.
    7. Season 1-2 takes time beween 2011-2012. Season 3 is 2013 and events of Season 4-6 is set in 2014 with Henry being 14 years old at that time and his actor was 16 at that time.

    SPOILERS
Started watching the show during the pandemic.I don't usually watch network tv so the lower budget and acting took some getting used to.
I really liked the second half of season 1, season 2 was okay and i consider season 3 to be the best especially the first half. I also surprisingly enjoyed the frozen storyline in season 4 even though I don't like the movies and while the second half of season 4 wasn't as good I still enjoyed it.
Season 5 is where I really started getting annoyed between the way the dark swan storyline was handled, characters acting inconsistently (especially rumple), belle constantly giving rumple second chances, snow and charming becoming really boring overtime, Henry barely doing anything after becoming the author. I also hate how they have all these side characters who could be interesting but barely do anything with them. Not to mention all of the flashbacks, some of them aren't really necessary. And like you said the curses get really repetitive
Now I'm almost done with season 7, there's been a few good episodes but some of them have been really boring, some of the new characters are just worse versions of the original ones and the new Cinderella is probably the worst character in the entire show
Still, it can't be that bad because I've atleast made it to the final season, I'm usually pretty impatient and have no problem giving up a show in the middle of a season if I hate it enough

I absolutely love ONCE, definitely one of my favorite shows ever! The insanely complicated family tree of this show surprisingly never bothered me, I always enjoyed seeing the creative liberties the show took with familiar fairy tales and the twists they gave to some of the characters. I see what you mean about the show being repetitive and not having the best continuity, there were a few times even I was like "Huh?" But I still enjoyed watching every season including the seventh, although the storytelling was flawed at times I thought the writers did an incredible job bringing so many Disney/fairytale characters together, have their stories mix with each other and creating a world that had amazing visuals as well as meaningful character growth. It was one show I HAD to watch as soon as it aired and could NOT wait for the next episode, I really will miss this show and I'm glad it lasted as long as it did. Thanks for giving us your take!

I just wished that they established or redeemed Emma’s relationship with Baelfire a little more cause I felt it was too short lived since they were building up on it. At least from my memory when it first aired

It made no sense to kill off Neal. They had just introduced him into the show and I feel they wanted to kill him off cuz they didn’t know what to do with him since ppl were rooting for hook and Emma. Why wouldn’t they just write him off but still leave the door open for him to return. Like he leaves storybrooke. But instead they kill him off and they didn’t in an extremely frustrating way. He wants to go back to the real world so he decides that resurrecting the person that took centuries to get there. So it’s a trade rumple comes back to life and Neal dies and they call it a sacrifice just by allowing rumple to say one word that allowed the characters to discover who the wicked witch just a few episodes early. Also Neal mentioned that he wouldn’t cast a dark curse. Yet how does he end up back in the real world. BY ANOTHER CHARACTER CASTING A DARK CURSE. So basically his death was meaningless. They didn’t even do anything with rumple. They just took all his character development that was built up all the way from season 1 and threw it away. And then he got redeemed in season 5 and then they threw that away and then he got redeemed again at the end of the show and then they killed him off. So they basically repeated a redemption arch twice just cuz they didn’t know what to do with him. So his death was pointless. His death is season 3 was amazing. The whole show had been leading up to it. The show just frustrated me in many ways. The two amazing characters in the show were just writen into garbage.

I love Rumbelle, but their story fell apart when the writers didn't know what to do with their characters. I think they were surprised by the love Rumple and that ship received. Fine, if they wanted to have the Emma/Hook ship to sail then just Neal into a kid again or like you said give a mission that involves leaving.

  • @EmerickSin
    @EmerickSin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +32

I enjoyed the show until about season 5. Didn't care for the Dark Swan arc because at absolutely no point was Emma evil but they tried to be like "ooohhhh look she's evil" and tried to have everyone give up on her but like, she hadn't even killed anyone xD Regina was over here tearing families apart, ripping out hearts and crushing them, but people didn't really give up on her--but no, Emma turned someone to stone for half an episode until Regina undid it, OOOOHHHHH she's evil now, can't save her, have to give up on her. They tried so hard but failed so epically so I just didn't buy it. Evil Hook was meh--he went from zero to sixty real quick. If he's a Dark One then he'd be feeling it/seeing the Dark presence like Emma did the whole time, even without his memory of the event. Then he gets his memory back and IMMEDIATELY went all "NOW I MUST HAVE REVENGE" and went all super evil. Like, what? I'm sorry, what? Then he literally turned good again apropos of nothing xD WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
My problem with the show is that the Curse became a way to travel, basically. In the beginning, the whole entire reason Rumple molded history, and Regina, to cast the curse was to get to his son in the Land Without Magic and it was THE ONLY WAY TO GET THERE. But as early as season 2, you can get back and forth quite easily. Just use a magic bean! Oh, they're hard to come by? In the early timeline Hook used a bean to get to Neverland AFTER Rumple, as the Dark One, killed Milah. So they were common enough then that Hook knew about and was able to get his hands on one. And he used the magic bean how many times after that??? If it was honestly that difficult to cross realms, or at least to get to a Land Without Magic, that Rumple had to wait hundreds of years and mold history so someone could cast a dark curse--then why the fuck are they jumping back and forth between realms every season now? And multiple times a season! It went from "this is the only way, once you're in a realm that's pretty much it for you" to suddenly being "oh, what's that? The object/person we need is in the Enchanted Forest? I'll be back soon, hang on" xD I get that they got items to help travel in later seasons, such as that wand Zelena likes to use, but when you make what used to be the main plot, the MAIN PROBLEM SPARKING EVERYTHING, into an easy trip... WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Rumple, you could have used the slippers. You could have used that submarine ship. You could have used a bean. You could have asked a mermaid for help since they can travel between realms willy nilly. Apparently fairies can travel between realms too, considering Blue tried to take Gideon to the Enchanted Forest by simply flying there. Rumple, you had a fairy wand. Come on. WTF are you doing. You had so many ways to travel to Baelfire and you chose to wait centuries on the off-chance he somehow made his way to somewhere where he wouldn't age and would still be there for you to find. It was understandable and relatable when the curse was your only way to your kid and all that was fueling you was blind hope you'd cast it and see him again---but when you had easier ways???
ALSO ALSO.... how the fuck is the Black Fairy responsible for dark magic when she's only been around about 300 years, same as Rumple and Pan? The Dark Ones existed before that. Sure, Merlin and the holy grail and all that---but that's dark magic. How is the Black Fairy the one who brought black magic into existence when it's been around long before she turned into a fairy?
Loved Regina's redemption arc. Wouldn't trade it for anything honestly. Her learning to love herself and accepting friends and loved ones into her life is precious. Hook's own redemption arc and finding the will to love again---love it. But the show should have probably stopped after season 4. Also way too many of the villains get redeemed. Zelena, Regina, The Evil Queen, The Snow Queen, Gideon, Ursula, Hook... Did they ever actually defeat anyone? Or just use love to redeem them? I get the message, but after a while it kind of stole any suspense. Also death isn't permanent; you can just go steal someone from the Underworld or they can come back through other shenanigans. How many people died and came back to life??
Emma is a boring main character. I said it. SHe's too nice and goody-goody. Even Snow has some darkness in her heart and has some dark moments, and Regina, even as evil as she was, had good in her heart then too. But Emma is just always nice and good and it's honestly boring. Especially after season 3. Her 'savior' ness is basically over by season 1's finale but she does still have a role to play in season 2. Season 3 she's basically useless. She's not even the one who broke the second curse---Regina did. Did she have any real part in saving Henry/stopping Pan? Nah. Regina did. She's just there to be called savior and give speeches and be the nice one offering second chances/being a paragon of good. Which is fine, but makes for a bland character. Give her some darkness, give her some conflict. Love Regina and Hook and their relations to Emma and the parts they play---but Emma is rather dull. I get that she's supposed to be a self-insert character, but that gets old after a while. As much as I love Hook and Emma together, rewatching the show left me with the question: Why the fuck is Hook so attached to her by season 3? She's literally done nothing but be nice, basically. Sure she fought him a bit, which probably earned his respect---but beyond that? Wtf did she do to really get his attention and keep it? And then after season 3 she's just 'nice' and he's super into it. The heart in conflict with itself is the only thing worth writing about---and everyone has that but Emma.
LIked the show, loved the twists on fairy tails, enjoyed when I finished season 1 the first time and was like "omg so that's how it all comes together, awesome" and was eager for season 2. Loved that it gave me that feeling. Sad at some of the choices they made. Too many times I had to skip episodes or fastforward because I knew what the story was going to be and I didn't care. It gets predictable sometimes and I've seen that plotline before. I know how it's gonna go. I like the show as a whole but rewatching it... I'll be skipping a lot of episodes.

I never liked the show, completely hated what they did to Peter Pan. But I didn't mind at first since when it first started it was giving it's own spin on fairy tales, BUT then Frozen happened and suddenly it wanted to be in canon with the Disney movies which made me HATE the show. I mean it didn't made any sense, especially with Rapunzel appearing in earlier seasons and looking nothing at all like movie Rapunzel. Plus just trying to watch it as a Frozen fan the plot was boring and the force on overall plot on Arendelle and the Snow Queen was just to chaotic to follow. I'm just glad they didn't upright try to force Jack Frost into it like the annoying fangirls wanted, I'll give the show praise for that at least.

I don't care if people hate this show but I'm going to explain why I LOVE this show and some explanations:
    1. One reason I love this show is because of the complicated family tree. I love seeing how all these stories connect
    2. Season 1-6 ARE NOT in the timeline of 2 years. In season 6, Henry is 14
    3. At the end of Season 4, even thought the Dark One is immortal but Rumplestiltkin is not. The "Man" of him would be gone but the Dark One would stay. Rumple almost died because of the deals he made.
    4. The reason his health is not effected after he becomes the Dark One again is because after The Apprentice took the Darkness out his heart was a "Blank Slate" when he became the Dark One again his heart was kind of "Restarted"
    5. In Season 1 when Emma Swan came to Storybrooke Rumple was not "Awake". When Snow and Charming went to him before the Dark Curse for answers, the reason he wanted Emma's name was for a loophole. In the seen where Emma is checking in for Granny's B&B , Mr.Gold asked her her name, he "Woke Up"
    6. Another reason I love this show is because the show changes( there may be a lot of curses with memory wipes BUT what do you expect when you have a show going on for many great seasons)
ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME CAN BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT BUT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THIS SHOW(........)

The show went downhill after season 1. was still watchable up until the season with frozen. I absolutely hated how literally everybody was pretty much related as the video points out. I hate how they made a big deal about if you drank from a river in neverland or something like that you can never leave but they found a way for david's sake like it was nothing. And this was another annoyance I had. Everytime something calls for a great sacrifice, the show quickly shows that their are no real consequences in this world. him being stuck for good should have happened as in all honesty he was a terrible character and useless. would have shooken things up a bit. Which also leads to my next complaint...THE MEN WERE USELESS! I'm all for strong female leads but you can do so without making the male leads pathetic or there for romance only.It was also dumb as hell at how Regina was being treated after a while. She was literally the GOAT throughout most of the series and better than Emma in every way other than when main character hax called for emma to be on top. It was annoying how The show took so many twists and turns with the disney characters yet when they got to frozen they literally took them straight out of the film. The frozen characters felt out of place as a result and it was clearly pandering to the at the time popularity of the film.

I was there for Emma, Neal, Henry, Rumple, and Belle, and I finally quit watching after S5 because the character assassinating bad writing for everyone in the remaining main cast just kept making me angry.
It showed signs of potentially becoming trash, going all the way back to S1, OUAT’s best season, but they clearly ran out of story and just stopped trying altogether after the Neverland arc because they ran out of story. They killed off Neal, brought back Rumple, and derailed him and everyone else in the remaining main cast to re-rail them over and over and over again in increasing cheaply shocking, contrived, flanderdized, wildly inconsistent, wildly ooc, melodramatically toxic, annoyingly hypocritical, and ridiculously stupid ways out of nowhere on-and-off-again till they came full circle again to the same places they were at in “Going Home” at the end of S6-S7.
Except by the time I actually heard that everyone in the remaining main cast “finally” did the right thing, “got happy endings,”and/or got “redemption arcs” in spoilers for S6-S7 after I quit watching, I just didn’t care anymore about canon because there were just too many instances of horrifying and nonsensical character assassination, retcons, inconsistencies, and repetitive storylines to forgive these writers for damaging the credibility and integrity of the remaining characters and relationships with.
I imagine many other people in the fandom felt the same way at the end of S6 and S7, which is why most of us just pretend canon ended with the New Neverland arc because that was the last time there was any sort of coherency, consistency, growth, and integrity of character and storytelling. Most of us regarded 3B-S7 as a badly written reboot/spinoff of the show we once loved, and used its wasted potential and bad writing choices as inspiration for far superior canon-divergent/AU headcanons and fanfic for our favorite characters and ships.
I think OUAT is one of those shows I’ve come across where most of the headcanons, theories, and fanfic in the fandom are/were more entertaining and intelligent than whatever Kitsowitz and their team of hacks came up with on the actual show more often than not. I quit the show, but I stayed for the fandom because it’s full of so many amazingly creative and passionate writers and storytellers who put Kitsowitz and their team of hacks drivel to shame! It’s amazing to see how many people have grown as writers over the years of this show.

It was pretty fucking good. Complicated, bit challenging even, but thats what made it great. Where it went wrong was season 7, but everyone knows that doesnt really counts as ouat. It pretty much ended in s6.

For me this was an amazing tv show until season 7, they should have left us with the happy ending in s6 (I will not lie, there were some good episodes in season 7, like s7 e12 e13 and the finale). The season 4 finale has to be one of the best tv show moments of all time, and they kind of let us down with the whole dark Emma thing. Overall, one of my favorite tv shows, and they did a really good job

Who else just wishes that they would bring all the Main Villains of Each Season and have them fight the good guys
(Apart From Regina, Rumplestiltskin cause they turned good)
And when I say main Villains I mean like Zelena, Cora, Hades, The Black Fairy, Ingrid, and of course everyone's favourite Villain Peter Pan Like be honest who wouldn't wanna see all of them fight against the good guys?

Quite frankly, the issue with the show was that it went on for FAR too many seasons then it actually had plot to fill. Also, even after Season 1...it forgot what MADE THE SHOW FUN.

I love ouat and l'm glad we got six seasons but yeah the continuity on the show was the worst. Since with each new season it felt like the writers over complicated and over lapped everyones back stories more and more, to the point it felt like they crammed multiple back stories they wanted to explore into one or two characters.
I think thats why even though story brook kept growing/people where traveling there all the time by season 4. It felt smaller then in season one.

Just here to correct you on that last part: Henry is referred to as a teenager in the later seasons. I do agree that the show got so convoluted and by the end of Series 6, I couldn't understand what the fuck was going on! Series 7 tried to be more simple, but it was just a less interesting version of the first season. I really think stuff like the Frozen arc are overhated though, because the creators did try to intergrade these characters with the show. I kept watching the show throughout its run, hoping it gets improved. And, I suppose it did a bit. Seasons 5 and 6 were significant improvements to Season 4, but then Season 7 came along, and I am so glad they never made a Series 8.

Bro I loved this show as a kid but nothing beats season 1. That was really great story telling and everything was new and ambiguous! After that is started to lose the magic. I also loved season 3 with rumple and peter. But even then I feel like season one can be considered very good quality tv and then after that it’s kind of just fanfare. Granted it’s been a while and I stopped watching after they went to hell.

I have a theory: when Rumple made a deal with Snow White and Prince Charming that when Rumple talks about Regina's curse, Rumple would know the name of Snow White and Charming's baby (Emma). But why would Rumple ask the baby’s name? He therefore asked that whenever someone says the name Emma during the curse, Rumple's memory returns.

Tbh I have no problem with giving SOME fairytale characters a connection to their Disney counterpart but fully adapting complete Disney characters? No! When Elsa, Anna and Merida showed up it was over for me. Yes, include the fairytale snow queen but not the Disney version of it which isn’t even accurate to the original story at all

It’s 4 years. They state that Henry is 14 years old in season 6. They address that he is a teenager. He 11 by some point in mid season 2. There is a 1 year jump in season 3 making Henry around 12. Leading him to around 13 in a5 and 14 on season 6

i loved this season the only thing i had a problem with is i was confused threw out the whole season wondering is cinderella is from the wish realm or not and how stupid the ending was when regina brung the wish realm to story brook i love then the idea of bringing everyone realm like oz,untold stories ect.. but not the wish realm it makes no sense like it a copy version of the real one just with regina not casting the curse and if you think about it they have copy realms to so its like the hell.i think they should have kept that realm alone in season 7 and done somthing like rumple useing the serum from the doctor to split him self like regina did and thats how the other rumple appeard.

  • @belladawnausa

What I think is the saddest part is that most of the main cast decided to do other movies, and or TV shows which gave the leading role to Henry. I guess when people ask for an encore it can be sad that the show didn't exactly measure up to what it should have been due to the main cast moving on to other things. Don't get me wrong the show is still wonderful to watch. But if I had to point out what could be wrong with it, it would be that the main cast were suppose to play the important roles as the main characters. But because most of the important cast wanted to move on to other things, that took a lot of the important script out, and Disney had to change the script by making Henry the main character. It is still a watch able classic though.

I know these are 2 different types of stories and themes (and probably a very unpopular opinion), but I feel like The Wolf Among Us game was a better interpretation of the whole "fairytale characters gets put into our world" thing. I feel like with Once Upon a Time, it had so much potential! Especially with the first season doing so well. But the plot gets very muddy and confusing. With Wolf Among Us, it's more of a simple story but with the characters still feeling more original but true to their characters.
