Simply put, this year on Friday/Saturday Road America was not kind to us. Lots of crazy/unfavorable weather and unfortunate on track incidents cut short all our sessions.
𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮'𝙨 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙖𝙘𝙚 (we apologies for the degrading footage, a car was spewing oil)
I was confident we could come back in strong form for the feature race, even starting 21st (12th in class). We started the race towards the back of Prototype pack but I was able to make up 6 positions in the first 2 laps. At that point it was game on as we picked up one additional position on each of the next 2 laps, putting us 4th. Out came the full course caution and the field was bunched up, and opportunity was in the air. A couple of solid overtakes got us up to 2nd place‼️ But it all ended on an anticlimactic note, as the the racecar- my Stohr WF1 called it quits with an engine failure.
A big thank you to the guys on the Bulldog Motorsport team who worked long hours in the unrelenting rain & heat to give us a fast car. I lost count how many times we changed the set up and/or the tires to adjust to the ever changing weather and track conditions.
Incredibly disappointing. But I already can’t wait to be back for another shot at it 👊........The Runoffs will be here at Road America before we know it.
Grateful for the incredible support from the team, friends, and fans. Every race is a lesson and a step forward. Onward & upward! I had Family & Friends with me at the track, so Life is Good

@dvelez811 there always areas to improve, lol spent a lot of hrs on the sim working on that braking
That’s awesome!! Seems to have paid off! I have been driving sim and karting for the last couple years and that motivated me to sell my street car.. now looking for a prototype.. so I hope to be out there racing with you guys soon! Just finished racing school a couple weeks ago and now looking for a car ! Pretty exciting.

@@dvelez811 the Elan is a solid choice and car that can be highly developed, very desirable car. An older Radical or Stohr would be a more affordable and somewhat slower choice, and a car your skill set could grow into
yah, 2.5 days in rain gear on pit lane all day, not kind at all.
I pray we have much better weather for the Runoffs!!
