Walter Casey could drive a mule to the winners circle. One night I was playing Yonkers at my local OTB in New York and Walter case won nine races in a row one night. Too bad the demons took over him.
Walter at his best. He didn’t use the bungie cord on this one. It’s a shame he’s not back driving again. Walter made terrible horses look great. Unfortunately, there are to many people who judge him for his past. Other have done much worse!
Anthony, you are correct about walters driving ability. However how much worse can you get than attempted murder. He had many chances but enough was enough. He was a menace to himself and everyone around him. What a waste of great talent, but he certainly deserved the punishment he received.

Well, he is driving again, at Cumberland and Bangor in Maine, and he's doing pretty well. Cross your fingers.
Sadly one of best drivers of that era is now driving in Maine and Maine only.. One can only imagine what his career could have been..
